  • STAC re-inductees check in for Monday

    Hi, everyone! Just wondering how we are all doing out there! I plan on re-starting this week but am doing a little pre-planning first (plus i am broke as a joke!) so that I am not constantly re-starting Atkins over and over and over and ......you get the idea. I am joining the Dr. Phil's reading challenge and whether you like him or not, his advice about how weight loss is keyed into our emotional problems and health is dead on. It may help some of you too! (of course, I am ignoring the food plan he has in there!) Hopefully his advice will help me! How is everyone else doing this day??? Come on! 'fess up!

    Hey! I am restarting today....for the gazillionth time...but that's okay. I'm gonna kick butt!!

    Good job with the planning! I am the same way, I HAVE to plan so that I am not doing the same thing over and over again.

      I sure will! I know for me, that my losing weight is a big mental issue. Having been overweight my whole life, to lose weight is actually kind of frightening, even though I want to lose weight. I think Dr. P's book may help. I know how you feel about starting over again! Been there, done that! Good luck, you can do it! Kick butt!

        Doing well today, thanks! Already put in my 30 minutes of walking, and 11 monitored carbs eating. Today is a beautiful day, sunny with a high of about 60.

          I'm here...I started up again last week. Feeling good, exercising, eating well (a few cheats over the weekend). But I'm clean this morning and drinking green tea and water.

            I had a hard time over the weekend. It was my daughters birthday and being around (and preparing) all that food was really hard. I succumbed in the end - not an all out binge but I had some chocolate cake. Next time I'm going to be prepared with eggsalad or tuna muffins, I'm going to fill up on those and my water, so that the thought of food turns me off! I let myself get hungry, then when the urge to eat cane , I didn't say no. Never mind, back on track now.

              I had a rough time too - this time around I haven't been able to just start and do it. However, I did successfully drink enough water every day and exercise 3 times this week, and I ate well all but two days. Not sure why it's so hard this time, I know I'll make it though!!
