    Re: Induction -- Day FOUR!

My day 4 started with me waking up in a cold sweat. I had a dream that I cheated. Not just a dream I was eating carbs, but a dream were I saw myself eating and then immediately felt the guilt and shame in and wondered why I fell off plan. I was very happy when I woke up from that and realized I was still on track and more focused than ever. Weird, very weird. Tells you how much I think about food.

          Re: Induction -- Day FOUR!

Man! I know one thing...today I am STARVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have a little "home town" cafe that cooks hamburgers from scratch...so I just ordered one with the lettuce and tomato on the side, a little mayo (and without the bun). It should be here any minute...but if it doesn't hurry I may start biting on my desk! (crunch, crunch)

I guess today would have to be the worst day for me so far. Our heating/ac guy came in from out of town and is buying everyone pizza for lunch...so that doesn't help at all either...Rrrrrrr!! (giggle)
My head is feeling a little swimmy too...but I'm sure that will pass once I take a bite out of someone...oops! I mean a bite of something!...Food, hopefully!!

Hope you have enjoyed your burger by now Kat. I keep reading about people who work in offices and all the challenges you face. I have mega respect for office people who eat low carb!!! Stay Strong!

After lunch today I felt a tad bit nausiated, is that how you spell that? No headache though..whew!

              Hey Erin!

I hope you are feeling better now!!

Yes, that burger was mighty fine!!! But, my head still feels swimmy. I'm wondering if I should take some Ibuprofen to help get past the mild headache and the yucky feeling...do you take anything for yours?

One thing is I'm not drinking enough water...I'm getting in about six glasses a day and I KNOW that I need to push harder to get the minimum of eight.

              Everyone else drinking it up?

Just a few more hours and this day will be over soon!...Come on FRIDAY!

                Re: Induction -- Day FOUR!

Kat, I do use ibuprofen. Most times it eases it but not for long, unless it is about to finish its course any way. Take some, it may help!
I usually drink tons of water, but have been too busy the last two days. I am going to do better today. When I'm busy and running errands, I hate to have to stop and pee all the time. It is not good to run into Arby's just to pee, when you are on induction!!!

Does anyone have trouble eating well on the weekends? You see I hate to cook and of course I have to on this WOE, so on the weekends I love that I can get a break. The kids are big enough to fend for themselves for most meals, so I don't have to be in the kitchen and can relax. BUT...then I usually wait longer to eat, because I know have to cook something and by the time I get to it, I am famished. GRRR!

                    Re: Induction -- Day FOUR!

Thanks so much for posting the recipe link, Kat! I need to do some serious menu planning before the weekend hits, because that's when it gets tough for me.
Oh, and the job intervivew went great! Should hear something in a couple of days....

Thanks for the info on ibu...I'm taking one now. I wonder if me not drinking all my water would give me a headache? Well, I've had about two cups since I last posted and am on my way to finishing four cups (a bottle). Yes, Arby's would be a BAD, BAD place to stop during Induction!!! (giggle)

Hum...not sure about the weekend yet. It depends on if I have some meals planned. I'm thinking of doing the taco salad from that website I posted. It is really good. One weekend (about a month or two ago) I cooked three dinners at once (the main entrees) and that saved me a lot of time during the week. All I had to do was heat up/thaw and cook veggies to go with the meals. It was very easy. I think I cooked chicken, beef and made a turkey soup all at the same time. It was nice.

Tic Toc...the day is going by...

Congratulation on the adoption! That is so exciting!! I've heard that it is easier to adopt a child from overseas than a child from here...is that true?
