Re: Do you skip breakfast?
Breakfast is the meal made for Atkins and so quick and easy - why would anyone skip it on a regular basis?!?

Re: Do you skip breakfast?
I've been eating Breakfast since I started Weight Watchers in 1998. I ate it all the way up to 473 pounds.
I eat breakfast now, because the days I have skipped, it really catches up to me, and tend to eat bigger meals.
I think it's best for sugar control. My ADBB Journal here.

Re: Do you skip breakfast?
Since my breakfast is usually around 230 in the afternoon, I rarely miss it. I do skip "dinner" some times more often than not. Usually a light snack of some kind and then off to bed to restart the madness.Starting weight: 310 Current weight: 292 Goal weight: 220

Re: Do you skip breakfast?
I make a concious effort of always eating breakfast. In my opinion that is probably the golden rule of Atkins.sigpic260/215/180 Male - 36 y/o

Re: Do you skip breakfast?
I eat breakfast daily, but if I am not hungry i eat it around 9:15-10 am. There are days when my dinner has been light that i do get up and eat before i leave for work. If my body says eat, i eat. Most times the hunger is not there, and I also try to get in a 32oz water before breakfast. My norm, which really has been working for me and I am losing steadily is to shift everything so that I eat dinner late. I eat my afternoon snack before i leave work, so I do not arrive home ravenous picking up whatever won't eat me first. I am a big baby and like to sleep on a full stomach. I do not want to feel "snacky" after dinner, so this works for me.Loner Insearchof Something Amazing

Re: Do you skip breakfast?
Yeah, I eat breakky, but sometimes I skip dinner because of a weird schedule. At the moment I don't know how the weight is doing. I just changed batteries in the scale and it does not register the same weight loss as yesterday but today it has me 2 lb down. My drama.

Re: Do you skip breakfast?
On the days I skipped breakfast, I would suddenly find myself wondering why I'm snapping at everyone around me, fighting with people who have po'ed me in the past in my mind, and shaking like a leaf! DUH!!!! So now I eat breakfast, and I'm a nicer person for it! lol

Re: Do you skip breakfast?
I eat breakfast religiously. Actually, I must eat every 3-5 hours.
I know for a fact that on days where I skipped breakfast, or went 6 hours or more between meals, I cheat. I will eat alot of food that is allowed and still feel hungery, so I will eat something with more carbs to "satisfy" me. But let's face it, an allowed 5 whole grain crackers at 1 net carb each, can quickly become a big mistake when you eat a package.

Re: Do you skip breakfast?
It was hard to select from those choices because I don't have a full "breakfast", but I never ever skip.
During the school year, I'm up at 5am, and even if I'm hungry, there's not a lot I can stomach. I found the solution to be Hood's Carb Countdown chocolate milk which gives me 8g protein to start my day off with. Then I get a mid-morning break and have something small to hold me over easily until lunch. On the weekends and holidays, I still tend to drink my cup each morning about an hour before having a full breakfast. If Hood discontinues that stuff, I guess I'll resort to shakes or something because it really fits my eating schedule best. Even when I stopped Atkins and even through Weight-Watchers, I stuck with my liquid breakfast. I remember how thrilled I was when the CC milk became available!
I've known a lot of people who just don't like to eat in the morning... I have a friend who insisted she can't have anything but coffee for breakfast. So I fixed her a "coffee" by adding instant to some Carb Countdown white milk that was heated up in the microwave. She liked it and that's what she has for "breakfast" every day. She doesn't follow Atkins BTB, just stays low-carb.

Re: Do you skip breakfast?
I often have coffee with carb countdown in it before work and then have shake or sometimes eggs at work....sometimes I skip breakfast and just do coffee probaly not the best for metabolism but I do have a hard time making myself eat when I am not hungry. Last time as I neared goal I skipped breakfast everyday and had often only 1 meal a day...BAD BAD...really slowed my metabolism..........SO I ATE BREAKFAST TODAY
I take 2 raw eggs to work then scramble and nuke then in a bowl at work around 9am better for a chronically running late person like me
Restarting again 193/174/130

Re: Do you skip breakfast?
I work until midnight and go to bed around 230am, so I wake up around 930-10am, and I normally eat before 12, so I'd say that's my breakfast. I don't always eat a whole meal, sometimes just a salad and dressing with cheese or a flax muffin, but usually a few eggs or last night's dinner.

Re: Do you skip breakfast?
Being a DJ I usually work til 3 or 4 a.m. or longer. Breakfast is a non issue. I just do not eat it. If my evening gig is a club gig it can go til 6 a.m. and food is the last thing on my mind. It makes it hard to eat anything in the morning. I usually get hungry around 3 p.m. and eat a big salad with protein somewhere in between that and 5 p.m. Some days I eat 1 meal a day as thats all I can possibly eat. Then other days I may eat 3 small salads, but thats rare. I only eat when I'm hungry and I'm losing.
