    yup! That's what I did today. Seemed to work. Working all these things out - learning as I go. That's what helps make it a habit for life. Live and learn! "sweating" it.. was the eggplant. Making it sweat to get the moisture out LOL *I* wasn't sweating Well, i was, it's hot here. But, you know what I mean now.

      My first Atkins book was lost in the hurricane. I was relying on memory. I treated myself to the book over the weekend and realized I was eating too many veggie carbs for induction! Yikes! And I had berries and nuts too! YIKES! I did well on induction tho. I just coughed it up to being the second time around and not losing like the first time. Oh well.

      I measure my salad now. One cup is a small salad for lunch - which is perfect. One cup salad for supper with my one cup of veggies. That's my induction limit. Then I add one more 5 carb allowance of veggies. So 2 cups salad, 1 cup veggies.. then one more veggie for rung one. Then I have another rung to add - usually snack of dairy. Sometimes I do nuts - depends on the day. I realize I'm kinda skipping, but that was before I got the book and re-read it.

      I'm trying to spread out the carbs throughout the day to keep my engine running smoothly I'm finding as I add more rungs, the food load shifts with each meal and/or snacks in order to do this. This week I'm trying to go three days at 30 carbs. So far so good

        Just a suggestion to help you spread out veggies.. try adding some to an omelet or just into your scrambled eggs for breakfast. It could be just half a cup that way you can still have the lions share later in the day.

          LOL many folk didn't realize Atkins is a veggie eatting plan LOL Dr Atkins said on Larry King maintnenance folk eat 6-8 CUPS of them a day! and those Docs who recomend the USDA say we are m lacking in veggies, HA!!!! even with just the 3 cups for induction that is 6 USDA servings

            And veggie eating I am doing! I cannot believe in all this time I have not had green beans!???!! Last Atkins go round I ate sooo many green beans. See, this time I'm doing V A R I E T Y! Big difference. So many veggies to pick from. Last night was eggplant. I love eggplant. MMMM No cravings, no problems. I'll have to go back to the store and get another one for later this week - gotta have it three times this week. Oh the torture hehe. Today it's back down to 25 carbs. Should be easy to get everything in today. I'm noticing the more carbs I add back the less meats I'm eating. Yet the carbs don't make me bloated or send me into cravings. It really is nice to have control over my eating.
