  • Giving 100% Reaping 100%

I am continually thinking about all I am doing here in the Atkin's way of life. I have made this the central point of focus in my life. I know myself all too well. I know how easily it is to loose my self control, and then continously give it away to my desires and selfish wants.
There are trips and triggers that loom all over the place. For me at the core it isan addiction that I am dealing with, turning to food for comfort, enjoyment, and probably a whole lot more. This food issue is well over 30 yrs old in my life. It did not arrive here a month or two ago, no I have been battling with food for a long time.
Atkins works and if I work it, it keeps it's word, Atkins delivers, if I work it 100%.
Atkins is a way for me to successfully loose weight. I am down 19.5 pounds in 34 days.
Because at my core I am an addict. I make no bargains with food. Legal foods and nothing else. Because I am an addict, in the very early stages of recovery, I know I have to be vigilant. One bite could easily lead to a slip, which could easily lead to a huge break in my momentum and I bet you I would drop off the face of the earth for a while...
    I have worked too hard...

There is no way around, planning, working out routines, preparing baggies of snack foods or emergency foods, there is no way around, good shopping and setting yourself up for success. There is no way around daily discipline and focus. There is no way around the focus and committment required. There is no way around reading, studying and using that knowledge to empower you. There is no way around the water, you need. There is no way around the exercise you need, daily or at least 4-6 days a week...

I spend time reading some of the people's posts, people who have lost over 100 pounds, or have over 5 thousand posts. i read their stats and I listen to the very basic words this continually give us as a good guide...
    Give it 100%
    Follow the book
    Plan
Work out your mistakes honestly, and make a plan to not repeat the events
Work it, work it, work it...
Drink your water, drink, drink, drink...
    Exercise
    Focus, focus, keep walking forward...
I suspect these lines will never go away on the boards because they are what hold it all together, they are simple and cannot be tampered with.
Allow yourself to focus on these, and the numbers between your toes will so take care of themselves and you will have a lifestyle...
