  • Good Monday Morning!

Gooooood Morning STACers, (just think of Robin Williams voice, when reading that!)
It's a brand new week, back to the more structured days.
Over the weekend or near last week, amoung our regulars, we had a few new friends join us...
    Elsie, Babs, and MeJane.
Welcome ladies...they are all fired up and on their way thru induction and the feelings you get when you are on the other side of the sugar detox. hang in there ladies, soon you will be into ketosis and your head will start to clear, energy will start to flow, a general sense of well being will click in...
YOU will feel so good for doing this..A natural high will be there.

Yesterday my daughter had a whoosie and I felt her joy as my joy all day long. I felt great in the clothes I wore to church, just fantastic. I enjoyed that feeling all day long too.

I am on day 42, and the natural high has been replaces with not a let down, but a new sense of "famiiarity and common place. I am moving toward the zone where things I have stretched and strained to add to my life are common place. Weight loss slows down and may stall out a bit, I am in a stall. But I really wanted to be 45 days out with habits formed.
I have an entirely different set of daily routines than I did 45 days ago.
The honeymoon is wearing off, and I am learning to deal with disappointment, impatience and a bit of complacentcy...emotions not around in the first few weeks.
Well, emotions are where I usually win or loose all my battles. How I feel has such a huge influence on my whole day. I know this and go after feeling good every single morning. I am a winner, I know it, I am again winning in my personal life. I am strong and I know it. I am self motivated and I know it. Today is going to be a great day, and I know it. I usually start right there and that elevates me above any challenge. I will say those words over myself all morning if I have to. I will exercise here shortly and feel the endorphines.
Emotions are where I battle the most...
As Dragonflymoon/Jenna says, she is all about body, soul and spirit.
My spirit has soared and my body has tried to keep up! My soul is up and down, and my body is thriving and finally being treated wonderfully. I want my spirit to be the dominant force. That means I keep my mind, will and emotions in check...
Hey, have a great day, drink that water...glup!

      Re: Good Monday Morning!

Morning all, *YAWN* I hope all is well with everyone this morning.

Time for a new day and a new week worth of fun. For some reason I didn't want to get out of my bed. It was so nice to be back at my own place and in my own bed.

Jess: It is good that you wake up and remind yourself how good you feel. It is nice to see you post those feelings and thoughts in the morning. I think we are all in some sort of way effected by our emotions for the day with our body. Knowing that if you do not get in that mood it is easy to lose the battle is always a good thing to know. Your pretty close to 45 days. But don't stop there. Make it 65 days instead of 45. I know you can do it!

Allright everyone it is Monday. Don't let the Monday's get you down. For any moment you feel bad today I want you to do the following.

      1. Stop and take a deep breathe.

      2. Put your left hand on your right shoulder.

      3. Put your right hand on your left shoulder.

      4. Squeeze tight!

      5. Now drink an extra glass of water!

I know pretty goofy. But it works! Have a great day all.
Mouse? I don't need no stinkin mouse!

        Wow Jasmine,
I read your committment...You have really "UPPPED IT"...
Sounds like you are getting down to where the rubber was meeting the road...
Keep us posted, I suspect this will be a challenging week for you, but YOU will be the stronger for it. YOU will be carving new ground for youself and YOU get to be the one to reap the benefits of these choices...
Tightening up can only raise your level, strengthen you internally and create a new level of momentum. I hope you can accomplish giving up caffeine and cigarettes at the same time...If you run into trouble, how bout backing it up and going after one and then the other...just thinking of long term success...Nobody usually makes it doing it all at once...How about giving it all or nothing on the caffeine, and then after that one is settled, go after the ciggies...
Kudos to you...I am an all or nothing girl too, but some of this I have had to take in bites sizes and gain ground...All or nothing, eventually leaves me with nothing in this arena...now my motto is one bite of a bad habit at a time, and chew it completely up and swallow it, and wait, wait, wait til it's nailed down....m\just observations and desire to get it right this time...one step at a time was unthinkable in my youth, but facing this mountain again, I realize I need new tactics rather than zombie obsessiveness...which I am known for...

Morning. I hate Mondays . Day... erm... somewhere in the 30s for me. Down 30.5 pounds since the start. Feeling pretty good this morning, got up and did SI6 for my morning workout. Still wish I could nudge the scale along faster, but I am deep in ketosis according to the sticks so there's only so much I can do. Have a great morning everyone.

Feeling good. The scale dropped 2 yesterday, up 1 today. I think I found my culprit. Rid my freezer of it and ready to dive in again.

This weekend was really busy. Need to really work on getting the weekends ironed out so I am able to eat properly. I did get my water all in - which was my goal. Now to balance them both!

              Re: Good Monday Morning!

Good morning! Wow...love having everyone check in and one place to do it in! Everyone is doing so great. Day one is over for me and I made it. Was really hard in the mid day when the cravings struck. I ate...legally. Didn't have my second salad as I wasn't hungry by that time. But did eat some tomato and cucumber with a bit of dip and about 1 oz of pork steak just because I knew it would be too long until breakfast if I didn't. Drank my 12 cups of water. Have drank 2 already today and it is only 8:30 so that is good for me. No headache yet but tired yesterday and went to bed at 9pm and woke up for 2 hours at 2:30am...not exactly when I want energy...LOL!

              Anyhow...be a great day everyone!!

                Re: Good Monday Morning!

Hi, everbody. Figured I'd jump in and see what's happening. You know, I'm still a little new-ish to this board and I'm wondering -- does anyone else find it overwhelming to catch up on posts? I mean, when you log on and there are over 500 ! It's all good, but for me to check in where I want to can take over an hour!! Perhaps I'm doing something wrong.

                Anyway, I digress .............

You all have some great self-challenges going on. Jess, I so related to a lot of what you said. I've been doing this since sometime beginning of June so it's a little longer. But the complacency is there and just waiting to jump up. DH and I talked about it this weekend. The past two times I've been successful, when I lost about 25 pounds my commitment sort of weakened ... and then went away.

Now that I've lost 30, I'm certainly scared to death of that happening. Don't want history to repeat itself.

Anyway, the good news is that neither he nor I feel any of the giving-up-ness that we've had before. We're both still feeling really strong. It just becomes a matter of keeping the habits going as habits like you were saying. It has become just the way things are.

Hmmm, I wonder if I'm making sense??

But I am realizing that there is the constant need for renewal (as in your daily commitment, Jasmine, and certainly Korelis' self-hug can't be bad!! ) Where I've fallen before is by saying oh, I can have a little of that or a taste of that. And for the most part, we have not done that this time. And we're not gonna!!

So there's one commitment from me!!

                  Re: Good Monday Morning!

Hey Nancy. Good for you for being aware of when you were starting to lose focus before and for making it past that point this time. And for realizing that a bit of this or that is dangerous.

BTW...it takes me more than an hour to give my opinion or check in on everything I want to. I consider it time well spent as it helps keep me focused. But I do tend to break it up through the day.

                    Hi STACers!

I'm officially back from vacation and forced to attend that place called WORK again.

It sounds like you are all doing great and its awesome to see the new "faces." Welcome everyone.

Okay, I need to start out fresh this week and establish some goals. So my goals for the week:

                    1. Look for more meal ideas ASAP. Especially for breakfast.
                    2. Pre-plan my week ahead.
                    3. Phase out the diet coke immediately.

Hope everyone has a great week!

                          Good Evening STAC'ers.

How was everyones day at work?

Mine was okay. Tammy and I got back to our own apartment (YAY!) and relaxed last night. We are closer on the excersise plan. Or atleast on my side. I had all my water today and then some.

Nancy: Yes it does. I stick to 3 main areas for responses. The welcome forums, STAC, and Main Atkins. Occsionally I check the Supporting Members one. I take time to type out my response to make sure I make sense and that it seen in a postive outlook.
