    Thurs. Morning,

    Wow, I love seeing all our new STACers on challenges...Some of you are getting ready for the Weigh, No Weigh. some of you are on the Oct Milage challenge, and did I see one or two of you on Kat's Oct Exercise challenge doing video? I love a challenge to throw myself into. A short term situation, that gives me something to extend my reach for...I am after the mileage one!

    That's fantastic. I think we should shoot for a goal of 5lbs down in Oct...
    I think we should have a weigh in here, on Nov 1???
    Anybody interested...or can you come up with a creative challenge amoungst ourselves that we can use to motivate us thru Halloween...For many of us this will be a challenging time...Me, I still have last yr's candy around here...so that's not going to really rock my world...My bad season is christmas and parties...

    It's that zoom-in, zoom-out. You know, what is going on in my world today, and what do I need to start thinking about and preparing for that is coming tomorrow..As the holidays approach, we should all be strengthening our daily routines, our ability to plan, setting goals that make us stronger...We need to be pondering what we will be doing at the holidays, staying in town or going out of town, family settings and dynamics...There is no way I am going to loose it over the holidays this yr...I have such a vision of Jan 1, 2007, and entering the new year in the best shape I have been in, in years, physically, mentally and spiritually!!! No way I am gonna mess it up!
    I have been here since Aug 1. I am a newbie. It's just the early days of the rest of my life. Yet I plan and work hard at all these facets so I can be successful and change my life. At each new season, there are things to over come. There are some people I have not seen here since their vacations, and since school started for their children. Holidays and vacations and situations that change, throw us off and many of us get off the plan...i want to be here, Nov1, Dec26, Jan1, Mar14, Aug1 I want to be here, and strong at the one year mark

    I met my short-term goal (party jeans).. need to think of another one. Hmmm....

    I plan to do the no weigh challenge. I have been practicing all week. It's not as hard as I thought. I just turn my focus elsewhere. I'm trying not to get too excited to weigh on Friday. I don't want to be let down. I'll just be happy with whatever it shows, knowing that I am back on track.

    Halloween ... not too worried. Two months of holiday parties and shopping... ack. Guess that's my next goal - gearing up for holiday season with legal foods on hand and maybe a few quick meals in the freezer. I'm pretty good at stocking up on legal foods and keeping them on hand at all times. Thanks for the heads up!

      Good Morning Jess and Rachel,

      Glad you guys are doing well...

      Jess, I think a weigh in on Nov. 1 is a great idea... I am always up for challenges Holidays are my weakness to...and with the move mid-November, things are going to get REALLY crazy around here...I just have to remember to take time for me and if that time is spent planning my meals and eating right, then it will be time well spent!

      Rachel, congrats on the party jeans!!! That must feel really good, better than anything that mean ol' scale could say!

      Just found out I have to go into the office tomorrow. I work from home... am nervous, since that place is a carb and candy wall-to-wall kind of place... I will be taking good legal foods, so I should be ok. But it is the 1rst time in the office since I started...wish me luck!

        Hehehe, I have 5 lbs. I can lose! I'm looking forward to the holidays! Lots of good meats & veggie side dishes. Yum!!! All Atkins approved, or close to anyway.

        I'm having a good day today. Jess has already made me smile twice!!!

        Okay, gotta go. The guys are here to install my new kitchen counter.

          Stickin2it, YOU don't need LUCK, you just need a PLAN, and you will stick to it!
          Plan, alot of water in the car...Baggies with snacks, alternate routes around food. Mingle away from stock piles of food...a cup of hot decaf, something to give you a sense of full. Wear clothes that are too tight now, and that will bug you constantly and remind you.
          Put on your war paint, declare war, it's not about LUCK or CHANCE!!! IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU GIRL, AND YOUR CHOICES TO WIN OVER YOUR WANTS...

            Thanks Jess

            I am sitting here now planning what foods to bring... I always drink enough when I am in the office...something about the dryness of the air in that office... I know I won't give in but I will have to endure smelling popcorn and stuff like that! I will not break!!!!

              When I have a function to go to.. I usually eat before I go! Nobody knows.. it's easier to turn down foods when full and I get to spend more time talking and less time eating!

                  Hi folks!

                  yesterday was rough, but I'm feeling all right today. No wavering from the long term goal, even if the short term (i.e. yesterday) wasn't so good. So yay!

                    Okay! I pledge to do my best to lose 5 pounds this month - starting after Friday's No Weigh Challenge. So that's 5 pounds in three weeks?

                      Hey all. Sorry I've been awol a couple days. Just been busy, and lost track of time. Doing well, and I'm still not cheating . I'm still inching down and I feel great, so I'm going to start working on the OWL levels next week I think. Need to add some more variety!

                          Hi Jess ~ i think that is a great challenge! I'm up for it... so my goal for November 1st is 220... there it is.

                          I've been awol around STAC lately too ~ sorry guys. Just been lurking & posting in my journal. Some of you already know this but some don't ~ we are going through the process of purchasing our first house right now, so as you can well imagine we are extremely busy right now! Also, i have a cold (great time to be sick, right?) so i've really been dragging this week. But i am here and doing well... i've lost 55 pounds now! Hopefully by November 1st that will be 60...

                          I'll try to post more!!! Miss you guys...

                            Hey Jenna...I remember on a Sunday when you called for a roll call of every body who was in and committed...a few of us are still reporting in that faithfully, all because you called us up to the bar...I am sure there are those who lurk, and are struggling, and remain silent and some don't even come here...the struggle was too tough or is tough, and then need time to find their way...But, I was just remembering you calling us forward...Pstansel, and Rachel where there and it was a real step up moment for me...I was the day I declared my full name, Jessica...and we found out you were Jenna, dragonflymoon...
                            Glad you came by, hope you feel good, hope the loan stuff works out, the inspections, and then you move towards closing...and somewhere inthere take a trip, loose some weight, and raise a child!!!
