  • I Screwed up

    I have been in a downward spiral and even know I haven't gained anything I am slipping and I need some serious support from all my friends the stress is really getting to me and I caved for the past week I feel like crap and NO MORE!!! I can't make excuses and I need you guys more then ever right now.

      Oh well in the past what 4 months or so I got diagnosed with a cystic brain tumour on my pituitary have been on a ton of meds which make me feel sick and my husband and I are separated and he already has a girlfriend which bothers me and all of this kinda hit me in the past 6 days and I made excuses and I'm not doing it any more.

              There is a lot I can say!

              1. Look how far you have come already. Gain control, girlfriend.
              2. Look how GOOD you look! Gain control.
              3. We cannot control others. I'm sorry to hear that hubby is not owning up to promises and responsibilities he made. He will regret it. Find another means of outlet. Exercise, cleaning, meditation, music, dancing, journaling, beating a pillow, screaming into a pillow, painting, something!! Not food. you know carby foods will not bring you comfort for very long. Invest your time and energy into yourself and your food. Even if you over eat, do it with legal foods. You will feel so much better! You know that calm, even feeling Atkins brings. Reclaim that! Log the food, water, exercise. all of it. Log the mood for the day. Set aside time for yourself. Yah, some will always have something to say. Take that time for YOU. Even if you just sit in the car and people watch or vege in front of the tv! You need some down time. I cannot imagine the emotions you must be feeling and I"m sure they are flipping from one to another pretty fast. Do you have friends and family to lean on? Talk to them. Surely they can understand that even a separation between husband and wife is hard enough, not to mention all the other things you have been tossed.

              Sarah, you ARE worth all the hard work you have put into your body/life. You have come so far. One day you started Atkins and I'm sure you thought it was gonna take forever to get thin. and you did it!!! Take that first step again to reclaim your life. I assure you, you get the eating under control and the rest of your life will begin to fall into place. your mind will clear, things that seemed so daunting before will be simplier and you will be so much less stressed.

              Come here and read the posts daily if you can. Post if you can and continue to journal. The holidaze are rough enough much less to have so much other stressors.

                Hi Sarah, I'm pretty new around here, but I'm here to listen to. I can't imagine the emotions you must be going through right now. I'm sorry to hear about everything. What I do know is you are a beautiful person and you've got some good advice in your signature: Believe in yourself, and anything is possible. Take it to heart, girl. You CAN get on track!

                  so you are back on the wagon great. when is the next set of blood qwork and doc appointment?
                  What you got planned for you and the kids for thanksgiving? focus Sarah and you can get through this without any high carb foods. you know how much better you feel eating low carb so just do it.
                  you still got the okay from your docs to workout? if so rab the kids dumbells and use them to get in a mini workout just to show you that you can do it.
                  You got your B12 shot this month yet?
                  2 whole yrs you been working on the healtheir smaller you for you so don't let DH's new girl friend take that from you by giving her power over your eating.

                    Hey Sarah....Hope you got a bit of venting/advice/support, etc... from the responses you've received so far. Look back at all of the photos you've taken and see your progress. It took a lot of strength to make it as far as you did. You did not just lose weight, you changed your lifestyle (and got a few sexy muscles to go along with it!!) Reach down for that same strenght to get you through this tough time.

                    Change is change is change....it is continuous. As we change, others change too. Sometimes their change compliments our change, sometimes it does not. Right now you may feel that you are the one struggling with whats going on, when in actuality, maybe hubby is the one having the hardest time adjusting to your change.

                    Keep leaning on us here and vent, vent vent!

                      Lots of changes in the last few months for you, but you know where I am. I miss you! I've been having some serious trouble staying on track myself in the last few months, and I don't say this lightly, I'll support you, and you can support me, and we can kick butt together! I am so sorry things haven't been going well for you but... and I wish they were real ones!

                        Hi Sarah,
                        I read your honest post here, and i thought to myself, "well this is the big one"...you know that moment in time where the circumstances are just so big that we really do start to cave under it all. It's the big one we all fear (or maybe it's just me), that moment in time where we walk away.
                        I don't think you are gonna walk away, because you have walked right over here to STAC and posted, "HELP"...More people will come today to help you because you have helped them! You have been a guiding light to many. You are the exercise guru.
                        But life has reduced you to a place where right now it would be easier to walk off and cave, maybe?
                        This is my big fear, "the big one"...it'll be some horrendous situation that seems too much, like maybe you feel now. I need you to stay, I need you to make your way through this, and be here for all of us, and be ready to show us through.

                        I think 2big's comments rise up simply to the top, "you know how badly you'll feel eating higher carb foods" on top of tough situations. That's a truth we can all cling to. Eating badly will actually feel terrible and make this situation worst. Cling to the healthy foods that will add to what little calm you have, what little energy you have, what little sense of control you have. Don't give up that and enter back into the problems with blood sugars....(they just absolutely do me in and make my situations oh so much worst).
                        Don't walk away, this is worth all your fight!

I don't know what else to add except that you've been strong through so much over the last couple of years. You'll get through this too. Everything happens for a reason and even if we don't understand it at the time, when we look back we realize it was all good. I care about you so much, honey, and my thoughts are with you. Stay strong, baby, and when you feel weak, come to us. We'll hold you up.

                              K first off I have my exercise stuff on this Morning and all these responces have given me modivation to run first thing and my eating is gunna be on track today cause I am not feeling like crap any more NO MORE. I will respond to all of this more later but, I ahve to get ready for work here THANKS
