  • Sat Morning 1/6 Check in

    I vote for pictures...New pictures in our siggys this weekend! How about that. I think we all need to put up a picture.
    This morning I am going to the park and meeting Adena, she is a member here. We met here, and found we lived near each other. This will be our 3rd time exercising today. I am taking the camera along and we will take a picture to be posted!

    I am going to measure this morning too. Newbies, have you measured yet? Dont let it slip past you....You loose more inches than pounds because fat takes up more space than lean muscle, and as you exercise you build lean muscle, so some times it looks like you are not loosing, but at times when it looks that way, most often the tape measure will tell different.

    For those in the first week, HANG in there the induction flu will start to come to an end, or you will be done with it! Watch out the weekends are very different than the structured-ness of a work week. You can get thru it, but take snacks in the car, avoid trigger locations, like the movies, or sports bars, or the mall and foodcourt. Avoid places and situations that overwhelm you...Just say NO for now...Be smart, don't put yourself at a huge football party right now if you can't handle it, and if you go, eat before hand and take a water bottle with you, and cling to it.

    Good Morning Jess & other fellow STAC's. I have to agree about either preparing or avoiding those food laden get togethers. It all just depends on how much will power you have. I know the first time around it was easy but this time I do have to eat before had or I'll think about what I can't have the whole time. I'll be trying to post some pics later. I have so many from 2004 when I lost the 60 lbs but I haven't taken any lately I don't think. I'll look throught the holiday stuff. I hope everyone's weekend is nice and relaxing.
    I am hosting 6 more teenagers today. My son turned 17 the 29th of Dec and he wanted his get together to be weekend before going back to school. Which is today.

      Heck, I consider myself a strong person and I ALWAYS EAT DINNER before I go to these things. Not only is it 10x easier to resist the food, you can say "I just ate dinner" and people won't push food on you. Cling to that water bottle, and DRINK FROM IT!

      Today is a cold blustery day here in MT. I'm going to the gym later to do an arms workout and see if I can get more bike miles done...I hope my legs are good to me today--yesterday my hamstrings were throwing a fit!

      So of course, I'll be drinking my water, but in the meantime, I'll be thinking about what to have for breakfast...

        Hey everyone! Nooo... I haven't fallen off. We have just been really busy around here. Working my way into a schedule once again. Good ole routine, always makes me feel better. My sister and I are planning a ground meat freezer cooking session and I'm scouring low-carb recipes so I can get some quick meals in there for ME too. How nice it will be to have foods prepared and premeasured. I'm so hungry for stuffed bell peppers LOL Even if I just have ziplocks of cooked/seasoned ground meat to pull out.. it will sure help speed things up. My biggest complaint with Atkins is everything has to be prepared. No instant/boxed stuff. It's great to eat so well.. but it sure cuts into my time. I'm hoping this will help.

        Time to get some coffee and get to planning!

          I'll probably take pictures in the cute little black dress I bought back in the summer as a goal for myself. I can technically *fit* into it, but there's all sorts of nasty rolls and bulges, GROSS! So I guess I'll take a pic for now and one for later, hopefully the black doesnt hide too much =P. My workout videos came yesterday, I'm going to try em out while no one's home to see me, lolol.

            hi all, i would love to post a pic but for some reason i cant i have to resize it and im lost any help would be so appreciated. as far as my check in goes im doing great, i know a lot of us feel this way but why did we ever stray in the first place. im still in week one almost done with that and i have lost 6lbs and about 3 inches of my waist which is what i want to lose the most, that is the one problem i have on my body that i wish would just disappear, after having two kids a little over a year apart with c-sections you can imagine how it looks lol.

            i do need to get my butt in gear with excercising, jess that is great that you have someone near you that meets up with you and excercise, my husband will walk with me when he is off we go over to this mountain near my house and walk there trails and we were up to 6miles before thanksgiving and before i fell off the bandwagon again but i have yet tried to venture out on that, i also have a gym membership which i need to start using again and i plan too.

            well i hope everyone has a great weekend and i just love reading all of your posts it is such an encouragement!!!!

              JESS, I'M SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!!! You have hit this WOL like a pro, and you are losing to prove it! Would you ever have imagined 6 months ago that you would be where you are now??? 55 pounds down and looking FABULOUS! Keep up that awesome work, and don't let anything slow you down!

                I have been working on getting a picture on for awhile. I dont really like any of my current pictures, none of them are full body shots. I guess I could take one. I will work on that.

                  Ok, how to do pictures....Someone had to help me too.
                  Go to www.photobucket.com open a free account. upload a picture...then hit the edit tab and "resize" it to webpage or smaller..., then on the right side and go down to the bootom, "ING CODE" and highlight it, copy and then...
                  Open your signature and place the cursor where you want the picture to be, hit paste.
                  The Ing code will appear...then HIT SAVE SIGNATURE.... then open it again, and there your picture should appear.

                      Well, I sorta got a picture to work out...Photobucket was cooperating somewhat. However when I tried to blow the pic up one size bigger to a thmbnail, it posts it as a ginormous huge big thing. So for now, you will have to squint to figure out what I look like (by the way, the picture is from last summer) until Photobucket wants to cooperate with my resizing requests.
