I started Atkins again on Jan 2nd. The first time I did it was in 2003 and I lost 47 pounds in just under 5 months. I did great maintaining but when I got pregnant I went off the plan. With my daughter almost one (and me still breastfeeding) I decided that it was time to lose the 17 pounds I had been carrying with me.
So I started a clean induction and in the past 5 days I have lost six pounds.
I am totally amazed! I know I should not be weighing myself yet but my husband kept saying how I look like I had lost weight so I thought I would weigh myself and see. I will measure on Tuesday and not before then as I know this is a much more accurate way of controlling my weight.
My question is - I have 8 or 9 days left of induction and only 11 pounds to lose. Do I complete induction or start OWL now? Before I could eat 40-50 carbs a day and maintain my weight but now I excersise more so I am assuming I will be able to eat more. I don't know if pregnancy does anything to your metabolism (it seems to affect every other area of your body
