  • Julirama - Please read!!

    Hi Julie,

I wanted to say that I really enjoyed the 'pumpkin' recipe you mentioned in one of your posts the other day.

I basically used a whole can (2 cups) 2 oz of cream cheese, 2 packets of splenda and a teaspoon of all-spice....(split it into 3 servings) chilled it....

    Wow. That rocked.

My question is this, I was thinking about a couple people here having 'chocolate cravings' don't you think you could leave out the allspice, substiture a teaspoon or two of non sweetened chocolate...for a kind of Chocolate Mousse?

and could you beat an add an egg and bake them for like a custard...

I don't know, maybe I'm just rambling... anyway. Thank you for the suggestion, it was really good!

Glad you liked the pumpkin! I've eaten it chilled and warm, but I think I prefer it warm for some reason. I usually make my own whipped cream (by hand, it's my justification for eating it, haha) and put a tablespoon on top of the pumpkin.

I've never tried the chocolate mix, but I HAVE added peanut butter to it, to make sort of a "pumpkin butter". It turned out OK, but make sure you save peanut butter for the nuts rung...or the legumes rung...the debate rages on!

As for chocolate cravings, I either do the cocoa/cream cheese/stevia (or splenda) mix, or I just make chocolate mousse. Just combine heavy cream, cocoa, stevia (or splenda...I prefer stevia, I don't get tummy aches or cravings from it!) and beat the heck out of it. But now that I'm further up the rungs, I don't really ever have a taste for chocolate. My favorite treat is an apple with peanut butter, or strawberries and fruit dip.
