  • Monday Morning Check In

    Good morning STACERs...
    Lets make this a great week. Lets all head out strong and focused, focused on our goals, our dreams, what we want to accomplish...

    Then let's take the right steps, with a plan in mind. Step forward, or step backwards, every thing you do today will take you towards your goals or away from your goals..

    Self control, let's keep working to establish our self control....most all of this BOILS DOWN TO SELF CONTROL!

    It's going to be a great week! I am excited. I am focused on some of my goals and desires...they are fitness minded. I am very excited I've been able to train towards a road race we are running in this summer. It's great to find the time to work on my dream, and time and freedom are just not mine right now, so it was a treat to run these last 3 days....

    Everything we do, will move us closer or away from our goals....Which way are you going?

    I am checking in.. Having my monday blues again... Grrr.. Why are my pounds so stubborn? I am down since last monday... went from 285-281. But that was more a Tom issues then a weightloss.. I have been on this program since April 2nd and I have only lost 8lbs.. and I keep bouncing in those pounds to begin with. I keep telling myself how much better I feel. Although I have a migraine right now so that isn't helping I am NOT giving up though... I have my foods planned out for today

          Good morning, all.

          Checking in. Praying for self-control not so much for the things I shouldn't be doing but more things that I should be doing. Been so focused on the weight loss and health issues that other things have been ignored; time to take care of them. PT appointment this morning, another Dr's appointment tomorrow morning. And take these new glasses back in because they aren't any better than my last pair.

            Good morning everyone. I woke up confused~how could it really be Monday already? Sandy, I'm not losing as fast as I would like either. We just have to hang in there.

              I am just so discouraged today.. We have End of the year bowling parties today and tomorrow.. I am the awards person.. So I have to be there.. Well of course my kids bowl on Monday so I would want to be there. Well I know they are having Pizza.. That is my hardest thing to resist. Of course I know I can eat the toppings...but its the crust that I love... I think I just hate the idea that I will pick up a Salad from Wendy's and take it with me and everyone there will be thinking. Sandy is dieting again.. Again... That is what is so frustrating.

              Then..yesterday I was Farm Fresh... Looking at the desserts. Because my daughters friend is getting his driver's license and is coming over on Thursday. And she wanted to have him something... She actually wanted to bake him Dark Chocolate Brownies.. (he can't have the milk chocolate it makes him sick) I said there is NO WAY brownies are cooking in my house.. I would die..lol Anyway we were looking at the yummy strawberry shortcake. Have I told you that I LOVE strawberry shortcake.

              I am going to go looking through the recipe section and get me some new ideas..

                Hey, sweetie. How about eating something really filling like a big, ol' steak and some squash before you go? Pack the food in before you leave so you aren't even hungry and won't give the pizza a second look? To he!! with what others think - they aren't taking care of you or your health... A little salad just doesn't sound like enough food anyway.

                  Good morning stacers. I'm in such a good mood today! I feel great! I finished induction and did my first weigh in and measurements. In total, I lost 12lbs and 12 inches. Which also meant, I met my 1st mini goal which was to get to 225! Can't believe it! Onderland, here I come!

                    My pounds are stubborn too, perhaps it is something in the Virginia air.

                    I am totally focused on this plan and ready for the week, including the veggie challenge.

                    I've got my water up to an average of 100 to 115 oz a day & I am sort of restarting induction (this is week three for me) but until I got involved in the veggie challenge I didn't pay attention to the two different catagories of veggies. And I wasn't drinking my water like I should. So....two more weeks of induction for me.

                    And I know I need to start exercising, I am so horribly out of shape. So I decided to start with mini steps in regards to exercise.

                    Step 1: I work from home and have two bathrooms, one right next to my office and one upstairs. So as of this morning, the downstairs bathroom is off limits to me. I have already been up and down those stairs five times this morning, lol.

                    Step 2: Getting back to doing yoga, which I used to do religiously.

                    Goals for this week: Minimum of 20 up and down steps a day and adding one posture a day and be back to a basic morning yoga routine of seven postures.

                    I know it's not much, but I figure if I start small and don't inflict massive pain on myself I am much more likely to stick with it.

                      Good morning! I am focusing this week on getting my veggies in, drinking my water, eating ONLY when hungry (started to slip a little on that last week with those lc pumpkin pies in the house) and eating clean. It's going to be hard but I know I can do it.

                      Sandy, I agree with eating before you go, can you do that? When hubby and the kids ordered pizza this weekend, I made myself some yummy FILLING dinner while he went to pick it up, and made sure I had already started eating when he got home with it. That way I was already filling up and had no desire for the pizza. I gave it a good long sniff though LOL!

                        Good Monday morning all. Ready for a great week, last week was very stressful with a death in the family, funeral services Friday. Stayed on plan all week though, but it really helps that my husband is doing this with me. Of course, he is losing more quickly than me, but I expected that.

                        What is it with pizza this week? The kids rebelled against steak on the grill last night and ordered pizza and ate that while we ate our steaks and salads. I also really love pizza, but wasn't really tempted at all.

                        I am focusing this week on adding scheduled, structured exercise. My first focus has just been on moving more and forcing myself to become more acitve- yard work, gardening, housework, etc. I ordered the Slow Burn fitness book to add some weight lifting to my routine, and the authors also advocate for a low carb eating style as well.

                        Hope everyone has a successful, positive, productive day!

                          I have to leave at 10:30...I am going to have some eggs in a little bit.. Not in the mood for any bacon..

                          I get the Blt salad...so it has chicken in it... I won't have a lot of time to eat anyway...

                          Just sometimes I would like to be normal and be able to eat a slice of regular pizza...

                              Hey it could be the VA air.. One day its winter..and then the next its summer...lol That is a great goal to skip the bathroom downstairs.. I had to laugh at a add for toilet paper in a women's magazine... It said something about women using it 5 times a day.. I KNOW that I go to the bathroom more then that..lol
