What is it with pizza this week? The kids rebelled against steak on the grill last night and ordered pizza and ate that while we ate our steaks and salads. I also really love pizza, but wasn't really tempted at all.

I am focusing this week on adding scheduled, structured exercise. My first focus has just been on moving more and forcing myself to become more acitve- yard work, gardening, housework, etc. I ordered the Slow Burn fitness book to add some weight lifting to my routine, and the authors also advocate for a low carb eating style as well.

Hope everyone has a successful, positive, productive day!
Sorry about the death in your family.. But wtg on saying on track.. Now I think I would take a steak on the grill anyday over a pizza

With the amount of water you're going to be drinking, you may be glad that bathroom by the office is that handy! LOL!!

Hey Diwitch thats how I am adding in exercise adding minutes or exertion a little at a time. Morning everyone, packing and getting off to work my long day today.
Feeling pretty good I also FINALLY met a mini goal, did not think it would happen sometimes it just takes figuring out what works and what doesn't. Have a Happy Monday.

Great idea on the bathroom! I will have to use the upstairs bathrooms as well, some hours I go every fifteen minutes

And I'd take steak on the grill over pizza ANY day hands down, even before Atkins. We almost went to Outback this weekend for dinner, but I just couldn't bear to spend $60 on dinner....maybe in a couple more weeks we'll go.

I couldn't find the Slim in 6 videos this weekend so I think I'm gonna have to order them somewhere?

                  Re: Monday Morning Check In

Terry I just checked and this is what they say

"We have chosen not to carry the Slim in Six product. While the actual workouts are fine, Slim in Six is primarily focused on their "fat-burning" dietary supplements. And Collage is not a big believer in the benefits of supplements."

What do you think of that? Obviously I do not and will not be taking any such supplements....but I wonder if they push them during the videos? That would irritate me.....

Congrats on meeting your mini goal. As far as exercise, if I try to do everything I know I should do, it will be to much all at once (the spectre of callanetics is looming in the back of my mind) I will be miserable, and just give up. It took years for my body to get this out of shape, I can't expect to get it back in shape overnight.

                      Re: Monday Morning Check In

                      Good Morning STACer's,

It's your buddy Scooter here. Just thought I'd bop in for a minute. Weight maintaining the same. No loss, no gain. Haven't worked on the exercise as much as I should. Still losing inches though, which is allrighty by me.

Played out Saturday night, beautiful night in Bloomington, Indiana. Strange crowd though. It was one of those nights where you play your heart out, you know you sound dang good, but everybody could care less that you're there.

Oh well, push on and have fun, that's my motto. I hope everybody is ready for the veggie challenge today! I started out good! I've already had whipped pumpkin for breakfast, dill pickle for a snack, I sauteed some summer SQUASH last night, brought some to work today, made my cauliflower faux potato salad. I'm set big time!! Go veggies.

Still fighting with this caffiene. Last week it was Scooter 0 Caffiene 50. Game to caffiene. This week so far it's Scooter 1 Caffiene 0. Go team! I'm trying to be very careful!!

So I hope you all have a wonderful day, the sun is out and it's going to hit 70 today, good running weather!

Ditch the pizza, eat a veggie!

                      Scooter out!
                      Scooter

Remember this everyday - Something Wonderful Is Going To Happen Today. If you live by that decree you will live life to the fullist.

                        Re: Monday Morning Check In

                        Good Morning, All!

Just taking a moment to check in. Weigh-in went well yesterday - 2 more pounds gone. I had been on a 1 pound a week loss rhythm for the past 3 weeks, so it was good to see the 2 pound loss this week. I had increased my veggie intake for the past 4 days or so to practice for the veggie challenge this week, and that may have been what increased my loss. I am really looking forward to seeing how my results are next Sunday (my regular weigh-in day); just curious to see if the loss is still stepped up after concentrating on the veggies for a whole week.

Di, I appreciate your help with my cooking questions. (I need all the help I can get when it comes to cooking. ) Also, have you noticed that we are the same age with the same goal in mind? (although I can tell by your ticker that you are taller than I am)

Well, I am off to do some walking. I will definitely be back around the boards later. Hope everyone has an awesome Atkins day!

Watch us participate in the Veggie Challenge!

Hey, Di, I think that's great! I think I read somewhere that if you do something for 2 weeks it becomes a habit. Not sure if that's true, but that's what I'm hoping for. I think if you keep using those steps every day, you won't even think about it. Hey - and maybe you could join Pledgling Flights in the exercise challenge. Those up steps would count!

I think I am going to do induction for two more weeks, too. I am on Day 8, but I didn't really pay attention to the two categories of veggies, either, until about Day 5. The Veggie Challenge should help, too!

My ds wanted pizza on Saturday, too. We went to CiCi's pizza because they have the buffet. My ds and I are a good pair because he only eats the crust and I only eat the toppings. It worked out well - plus they have a salad bar, so I got my Veggies!

Had an MRI on Friday and whew. Who knew I was a bit claustrophobic. First time, I started having trouble breathing. Second time I was OKAY but .... praying a lot lmao.
