    Morning All! This is the first Monday I have had off of work in over a year! I'm so excited! I'm going to take my dogs to the metro park and take a nice long walk on the trails along the lake. Its so beautiful and peaceful there this time of year. I'm telling you guys, dogs are a great motivation to get out and walk! They're VERY good at making me feel guilty with they're their sad little faces, so I really have no choice in the matter. Hope everyone has a fabulous day.

    And Sheepie - I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. I hope all turns out well. Hang in there.

      Hey there, Sheepie, prayers up for your mom! Sounds like she's had a rough past two years, poor thing.

      Good morning, all. Got to hustle to get ready for another appointment (man, can't wait to end these!) but I've got to check in and get my fill of motivation from you all. I weighed myself just this one morning to try and determine if Splenda is making me stall. Big Maybe. I'm back to 244.0 (even 20# loss). But from what I've seen, others stall out a few weeks or so after starting Atkins. All I can say for sure is I'm not dealing with any asthma problems since dropping the Splenda except when I ride by birch trees. (Allergic to them.) Inches are still coming off by what the clothes are telling me, and my sister did comment yesterday that it's obvious I'm losing weight. (Good.)

      So those who are frustrated with the scales, well, I'm a believer. Go by the clothes and tape measure because weight isn't the true test any more than not eating fat will make us smaller. We've got to switch our thinking on that scale issue. (Now to get the darn insurance companies to do the same...)

        Happy Monday All!!
        Its a beutiful New england summer day here! I think its going to finally heat up to summy and 75 today, WOO HOO!! I am so ready for summer!
        I had a great weekend, and am pupmed for another good cheat free, week with 5 days of exercise. I wanna see more inches go!! I don't know if I measure wrong but After 7 days and brutal exercise I was dowm a total of 10.5 inches. Is that possible?
        If so I doubt I'll see that much come off again, but I'll take it!

        Scooter I am siked your gigs went awesome!

          Good morning everyone!! I had a great weekend (cleaning). Saturday was our "take all" garbage day, so I cleaned out the garage ect, and yesterday we did yard work. I was out there for 4 hours straight. We dethatched, omg is that a workout, along with trimming the bushes, and planting flowers. I am so happy I started Atkins weeks ago, or I do not think I would have been able to do all of that.

          Missymiss, I know it can become frustrating, in time it will come off.

          Sheepie, I am sorry about your mom.

          Jess, Congrats on the tankini. My goal for this Summer is to fit into mine.

                  Thanks.. I can see it..but I wanted to make sure it wasn't just my eyes playing tricks on me.. I wonder if any of my family will notice this week at Mother's Day.. My face seems bigger in the second picture..but it really isn't.

                          Good morning, all. I'm definitely running behind today. My ds was sick all weekend, so had some trouble getting in exercise.

                          This will be an extremely busy week. Parent/teacher conferences every day and a field trip on Friday. My kids will enter the regional Special Games. Yay! Hoping to fit some walking in somewhere.

                          Sandy - you look terrific! Good for you.

                            Good Morning, All...

                            Hugs and prayers to Sheepie's mom...

                            Yay, Jess! I'm still very scared of bathing suits.

                            Missy Miss... about considering adding extra carbs... I think it is worth a try. Look at my experience:

                            Week 1 - 5 pound loss
                            Week 2 - 2 pound loss (TOM)
                            Week 3 - 4 pound loss
                            Week 4 - No loss
                            Week 5 - 1 pound loss (TOM)
                            Week 6 - 1 pound loss
                            Week 7 - 2 pound loss (added in more veggies to practice for veggie challenge)
                            Week 8 - 3 pound loss (actual week of veggie challenge; took in a minimum of 17 net veggie carbs per day)
                            Week 9 - 3 pound loss (I pretended that the veggie challenge wasn't over and kept my veggies up. Yesterday was weigh-in day and even though TOM graced me with his presence today, I still lost 3 pounds!)

                            It appears that taking in more veggies has done the job for me. I couldn't be happier. I am now only 10 pounds away from my lowest weight doing Atkins the first time around (see my info in my siggie). I am in OWL and I have taken in between 17 and 22 net veggie carbs (carbs - fiber = net) per day, and I love the variety. Something to think about.
