    Good morning everyone. Looks like a nice day today. We went to a buffet restaurant last night which I love. There's always a bunch of stuff I can eat. I had about 2200 calories yesterday, but after reading Julie's post, I don't think I have to worry about it.

    Jess, I know it's going to be hard tomorrow. Every year I wonder if it's my last one with my mother. Food-wise I know you'll be fine. You've proven it over and over. But just because you eat well doesn't mean that you're alright. I'm sorry.

      Good morning all,

      Juli, congrats on the loss, wow 75 carbs and still losing, that is awesome!

      Jess, I hope this weekend goes well, I am sure it will be difficult for you.

      Okay, so I was bad yesterday....I drank a few vodka and waters, with a lime twist. Still ate on plan and everything, drank all my water etc. So I get on the scales this morning...2 pounds gone!

            Okay, I did the muffin in a minute, cut out the splenda and cinnamon, added 1/2 teaspoon each of onion powder and cumin. It was wonderful! Held up very nicely to having turkey, cheese and mustard on it for my lunch.

            2.2 net grams of carb for the muffin

              finally checking in today---just got back from long walk with dh and ddog, and it is HOT and STICKY in the south today!

              Hope tomorrow is full of best times and/or best memories for all as we celebrate MOMS!

                  Happy Saturday all!!

                  I am rushing, doing lots of house cleaning while DH is fishing and I got a late start so I need to really move my rump LOL

                  Still can't weigh but I lost another 7.5 inches this week! WOO HOO!
                  I did go off plan yesterday, beat myself up, then forgave myself, and now I am back on track!!

                  Julie and Di congrats on the losses thats great!!

                      Congratulations on inches and pounds gone, everybody! This wasn't my regular Saturday to measure, but I did anyway because I started an exercise program. I've lost 1/2 inch each off my waist, chest and hips! Plus a little extra right above my waist. Exercise does work! Haven't lost weight this week, but it is TOM, and I haven't gained, so it's all good. Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers!
                      Jess, be extra nice to yourself this weekend, I'm sorry it will be hard for you.

                        Hi all, just now checking in, its been a hectic day and is only going to get worse. I have a date tonight so I am probably going to cheat a little tonight, not too bad, just a little wine with dinner. I dont plan on over doing it and i dont plan on eating anything i shouldnt, just the wine.
                        I am heading to miami for a conference next week so i have to get everything taken care of today b/c of mothers day tomorrow and doubling up on work before i head out of town.
                        I added a little tomato to my diet. I am in heaven.

                              Hey, everyone! Checking in late seems to be becoming a habit for me! It's been a busy couple of days. Thursday I had the stomach flu (I feel your pain, speedyturtle!). Then Friday we had the Special Games for my students and other students in the region. It was very, very hot and very, very humid. I know I was dehydrated since I was getting over the flu. I drank and drank, but it didn't seem to help much. I forced myself to run with a couple of my students who won't run by themselves, but by 12:30, I was ready to fall down. Finally, one of my instructional assistants told me to take my one student in a wheelchair and go under the tents with some ice water. So I did and I misted us both with water, which made him smile! Then a breeze kicked up and we started to feel better. All of my students won ribbons and we did have a good time getting pics of everyone playing. Luckily, the school bus was air conditioned. (The only one in the county and we got it! YAY!)

                              Then, today, I drove my ds and myself up to see my mom about 1.5 hours away. It was nice visit. I don't get to see her much because my ds really has a hard time with long drives. My mom was 335 at one time and finally caved in to doctor pressure to have a gastric bypass. I tried to talk her out of it, but she became determined. She's lost 120 pounds, so she is doing well. But she saw me today after losing 21 pounds and 13.5 inches in 5 weeks and said, "Maybe I should have tried that first." Oh well. Actually, her surgery prompted me to do this, so I guess that's good.

                              Getting ready to finish up some homemade gifts. Then getting ready for tomorrow. We are also going to a buffet so I can get salad and other legal foods with a steak. My dh picked that restaurant with me in mind, so I am definitely getting support! We will also be celebrating my birthday, which is actually on Wednesday the 16th. My dh is a truck driver and will not be home that day.

                              Jess - I will be thinking of you tomorrow. We love you. You are such a positive force on ADBB.

                                Hi all! I've introduced myself over at the Spotlight...but since this is my "second time around" a lot of people have directed me over here! I'm on my 3 day of induction this time around and not having too much trouble. When doing Atkins before (99-01) I stayed on induction for the entire time. I'm waiting to see what it's like this time around--new facts are that I'm now diabetic (not sure how that will affect it all) and on bp meds and antidepressants. I'm checking sugar often to see when I can start reducing the insulin. Happy Mother's Day Weekend! I'll be at a ballgame tomorrow--just have to stick to water and forget about the traditional beer. Oh well.
