    Sandy - Don't let that bother you. Some people feel awkward about mentioning things like that because they are afraid they will be wrong. Some people just don't pay any attention. YOU know you are losing and that's the most important thing of all. You are getting healthy. It truly doesn't matter what others think. I tell myself this all the time!

    Great job on avoiding the desserts! We went to a buffet. I was really good. Ordered strip steak, green beans and a salad. I had no dessert (which was hard), no mashed potatoes or corn (which was harder) and no french fries (which was ridiculously hard)! BUT, I just kept telling myself to picture myself in a size 20 and it worked!

      Sounds like everyone had a nice day...

      Well, I am sick with a stomach virus it seems...ugh! ALready puked 3 times today and am STARVING!!!! Had to cancel our dinner plans...Craving bread and sweets too. I always like comfort food when I am sick...

              Sandy, WE can tell, it's very obvious to me!! I have lost quite a bit for someone as short as me, and NO ONE has noticed either. Oh well, I can certainly tell and that's good enough for now right?

                Don't worry about it, Sandy. My first time around with Atkins, I had gone from 215 to 185 between September and Thanksgiving and was excited to see the inlaws for the first time since beginning. Not a single person noticed. Sometimes when you have a lot to lose, others just don't notice the initial loss as easily as we, ourselves, can.

                The great news, is, though - after this initial big "chunk" of weight loss, every single pound loss will start to show. You will be getting tons of compliments before you know it... really!

                    Thanks everyone.. This is the same family that is always telling me how big I have gotten...how big my legs are.. How much bigger I am then high school.. I was 115lbs then... How if I eat 3 regular meals a day I would lose weight.. I get email links all the time to diet plans... So I was hoping someone would notice.. I was really surprised my one sil didnt' notice..her name is Sandy too..

                    I would fix a low carb cheesecake but I don't think I am ready for it.. I wouldn't have any self control.. so its best not to even attempt it.

                        Well Sandy....I can notice! I found that out with my family and inlaws....they actually prefer it (subconciously, I think) when I'm fat because there is a sense of superiority for them. When you start losing--it upsets that balance. Unfortunately, you may find that out with more of your relationships when you join the skinny club. You are filling a certain role as the heavy one and it messes a lot of people up when you refuse that role. Oh....and when I did this previously--it took FORTY pounds before anyone noticed. I'm tall, but it was noticeable long before that! Keep on --it's working!

                            Finally checking in today. What a nice day. My dh and sweet sons tried to make it special and it was fun! ....and I managed to sneak out for an hour or so to go shopping and got some great "for now" clothes b/c my other clothes are kinda baggy and a little frumpish .

                            I am a clothes-aholic and will just go ahead and admit it.
