  • Pre-Monday Morning Roll Call

    Just wrote the following in my journal and thought, you know what?, others may need this, too...

    Well, every day I say I'm going to get back on track and every day I'm not. I did well on exercises yesterday. But otherwise, water, food and vitamins aren't getting done the way they should be. No breakfast this morning, not enough water, even ate some bites of NO-NO desserts as well as a brownie. (Whew, was THAT sweet!) So I'm not bothering with the stats journal for today. However, the Bad Boy Danishes turned out great and worked out well for buns. My family tried bites but didn't eat much of them. That's fine, I have plenty for my own meals now.

    SO!!! First thing tomorrow morning... Different routine. Before I sit on my asset here and start "soaking in motivation" for hours, I need to move first. Bike ride, video, abs, doesn't matter. But I need to get the ball rolling. This site is great for motivation but only if we leave this long enough to DO what we need to for our health! If this place becomes a stumbling block towards that goal, then something has to change. For me, it's going to be working out right away, eating a proper breakfast, start drinking the required water, and get certain v's in. Then, and ONLY then will I sign on and check in!

    I refuse to fail and quit! Sometimes, you just need to make some more tweaks and changes in your lifestyle to stay on track. In Manufacturing, this is called Ongoing Process Improvement. Author Max Lucado may liken this to being stuck in the fire, then back "On the Anvil" to have flaws hammered out... Either way, we're only human, we're not perfect. Always, always strive towards something better.

    Great Motivation Terry and Good Morning.. So if we don't see you until later its cause we know you are working your butt off first

    Happy Monday everyone.. Monday's don't bother me..but then again I don't work outside of the home...lol Although it does mean a beginning to a busy week.

    My scales went wacko this morning.. Monday's I weigh in for another small group I am in.. Well I have been 271 for like 3 days now.. I got on the scale and it said 277! I said there is no freaking way.. I got on and off that thing about 10 times until it said 272...lol Which is still a 2lb loss from last Monday but I wasn't NOT going to record a 3lb gain...lol

    This morning I get to take my son to court..AGAIN.. for another speeding ticket.. I am so sick of this. He will probably lose his license for 90 days.

    Suppose to be a nice Sunny day here in VA.. I might go to the Y later after I get home.. I am having some issues with my knee so I can only go walking in the water... My car has to go to the shop today so I have to drive my husband or my sons truck and they make me nervous...

        Hello, everyone.
        Just wanted to say "hi." I'm getting my shoes on and I'm out the door for my morning walk.

        Sandy, that walk in the water sounds awesome. Like an all over massage, with the resistance. Sounds like a hectic day for you, what a great thing to look forward too!

        I'm going to be focused today.

        Reach for my goals at work and personal.

        Today I'm gunna kick some boody. ra ra ra ra. hoohaaa.

            Morning everyone....Sounds like motivation is already bouncing around this thread.
            Terry, girl you are smart....I use to have to exercise within a half hour of getting up, because I knew I could not delay it! It is so empowering! Once I've done that, the rest of the day falls in line for me, great job!

              I had a mostly great weekend. I made out well on the Mother's Day front. My family gave me a Food Saver! (How romantic...not! LOL Still cool though.) We've wanted one for awhile. Now we can vacuum seal and freeze meats and they'll last forever, well almost forever. We'll be able to buy in bulk and I'll be able to freeze lots of Scooter Sausages!

              Then I went out and bought an MP3 player! Okay, if you're under 35yrs, don't read any further because I'll sound older than dirt to you. I am not techno-phobic. I've been online for 12+ years and I love my digital camera, but I've never had any interest at all in cell phones and ipods. I guess I just don't like noisy technology. In the end I didn't buy an Ipod, but I bought a Sansa by Sandisk. Much more for the money. Anyway, I'm utterly amazed by this little thing. It came with music already on it, but I managed to download some more for my walk. This thing is amazing. It's like you don't even hear it with your ears...they're just playing in your head, in stereo of course! I walked faster than ever with Billy Joel, Bruce, Tom Petty, Meatloaf, Kiss etc. Instead of 45min, I walked 65min and didn't want to stop. I don't want to go to work today. I want to call in sick and walk with my MP3 player. This thing is a drug and I don't want to come clean! What's wrong with me?? Ack!

                Lol, Sheepie, I didn't even know how to turn a computer on until I was about 39, now I wonder what I did before I had one!

                Well, hubby and I had a planned cheat this weekend, didn't affect either of weight any and we are both right back on plan today.

                I know the reason my scales aren't moving is water retention, I am sure those little fat cells are desperatly holding to their water, lol, sooner or later they will have to give it up!

                  Good morning everyone!

                  What a beautiful morning! The sun is out, and the temp is 68 degrees, great for a nice walk. I just finished Power90, and will be heading out soon.

                    I'm here! This week I need to get back to planning. I have been feeling too "comfortable" winging it and that is going to get me into trouble one day so I need to get back to planning out every meal. Might have to grocery shop today!

                      Wow, sounds like everyone is movin' and groovin' today! I'm still having trouble getting over the flu I had last week. I feel fatigued and have low energy. TOM is also visiting, so that probably doesn't help. I'm going to try and walk today. The weather is going to be very nice so maybe it will help a little. I'm going to hang in there!

                      I hope everyone had a nice weekend. We are counting down the days until the end of school - about 19.5. Yay!

                        Morning, Was a bad little turtle yesterday had some dinner I should not have, but could have been worse, i did not have a LOT of it. Maybe it will start up my apetite. Have not had one since I was sick last weekend. Planning on lots of water today and totally legal foods for the future. Have cut WAY back on coffee, but tired a LOT lately. Thats probably why. Will know in the next few days how my slip up affected me. On my way to work and a GREAT DAY!!!!

                            OOPS! Wasn't expecting this to become THE roll call thread this morning! But, hey, this is fun!

                            Yeppers, Sandy and Jess, I worked my buttsky off this morning! Started with abs, then the bike ride (and found a nice minnow bucket while I was at it! THERE'S TREASURE EVERYWHERE! ), did a video and finished with some stretches. Took my vitamins right away, drinking water, and now have to make breakfast. (And I'm not even hungry!)

                            It feels like it's going to be hot and humid today! ack! Made for a great bike ride so early, though. I'm going to mow the lawn early, though, before it gets too yicky out there.

                            Technology in the home is great, not too up for it when I'm out in nature (except for the cellphone). Listening to a talkshow online while doing the video on very low totally works for me. But those little Ipods and all would be great to listen to the rock classics with! I'll have to consider those some time soon.

                            Sure hoping all of you who are sick start feeling better soon. It's such a fight to get healthy as it is - setbacks with the darn flus and colds totally bite. I'm hoping I can do some things halfway decent next week but may be slowly getting rid of surgery chemicals from my body and trying to regain strength again. fpphhht!
