Happy Friday. Wow! I'm so excited. Tomorrow my good friend is throwing a toga party for his 40th Bday. I've been friends with him for a long time and now his wife and I are what they call "bff." I'm trying to stay hip with today's new lingo. I'm an 80's girl at heart.
Anyway, I have my toga "Athena" costume that I ordered online. I just gotta find a slip or something for underneath. It is slightly see-thru. Hey, maybe I will get a date at the party!!
I'm starting clean induction on Monday! I've been trying to LCarb it until then, however, yesterday was horrible. I'm glad I went through it. I had major complex sugar, (frosting). I felt horrible. I will journal the feeling so that I can reinforce that I'm a sugar addict and I can never get enough, but after the initial sugar high I feel horrible.
Anyway, I will keep you posted about the party. I'm head decorator and I rented some columns and we have a tent and tiki torches for outside.

PS. I think the tired and obesity is true. I think that if you do not get enough sleep, the body has a need to self medicate for energy. And, what gives us quick energy? CARBS and Sugar!! How can one stay on the straight and narrow when we are fighting an inate, internal need. I think I'm really going to pay attention on my sleep qty.
I'm grateful to have all of you! Each one of you gives me something great to take away for the day!
YAY Cheri! I am nervous to weigh in this week, for some reason I feel the same, so I don't think I'll be seeing a loss for the first time since I started. I am gearing myself up mentally for that, and know that it will just be temporary if it comes to pass.
Buffy step away from the frosting lol! It cracks me up that the term BFF has made a comeback, I remember writing that on the notes my friends and I used to pass in middle school!
I just did my exercise video - woo hoo! I think doing it first thing in the morning is what I need to do, otherwise I find too many other things I "need" to do instead as the day goes on.

I fed my totals from yesterday into fitday. Seems my fat intake is too high. Not really a big suprise but I'll bet if I'd cut out coffee (with the lucious heavy cream) I would put my numbers right. I discovered a terrible (it's so delich!) way to have iced coffee. Induction friendly if decaf is used but I won't temp you all with the details....I need to get over coffee.
I am in my 3rd week with this WOE and feel great. Anxious to loose another pound or two but week 3 seems to be a week that is difficult. I will continue to drink my water nomatterwhat!

Sheepie-I have heard/read and do believe that sleep is important to wieghtloss/maintaining proper weight. I also notice a difference when I take my vitamins regularly. Maybe that's just me!
Me-I've been so busy with my volunteeer comittments but find myself today strangely with nothing scheduled. So, house cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry, and of course exercise, today and a minor league baseball game tonight. My weekend is packed so I'm going to enjoy a slow paced day.

Good day everyone. Well, I had my dental surgery Weds. and I'm still kinda out of it. They did some bone grafting and some root work. I had to quit taking the pain pills, all I'm doing is sleeping. I'm relying on aspirin for now. While they were putting me out , they said, "wow, your blood pressure is GREAT, 112/68" THat is the first time I've had it taken since I started Atkins. I didn't want to go into why it was so great, but anyway I was too out of it to try. I haven't been able to eat anything but vegetables and eggs for the past two days, so that's good. Hope everyone has a nice week-end.
