    HEy all! I am in for the book reading. I actually read a bit of the book everynight before I go to bed. Amazing how much info is contained there. BF's father got operated on and seems to be doing fine but they'll know today if there will be any long-term effects.

          Well, I'm thinking that he must just have time to read and not post, because a couple of times over the past few days I have seen his name listed on the first page where they list the names of which members are online. But when I check the posts he has made recently, there haven't been any in while. I know that there are times when I only have enough time to read and not post, so maybe that is it.

              Hey all!

              TERRY, I'm definitely in for the Atkins re-read! I want to become a wealth of knowledge like not2late.

              Wish me luck--today I'm on the faculty team for a dodgeball tournament against the students. I've got my tacky outfit on (knee socks, gym shorts, etc.) and everything! It should be lots of fun. I just hope I don't get the crud kicked outta me. The scale did not move this week and I suspect 2 culprits which are unavoidable (nature and weight training) but I lost over 3" since last week, so that's what counts!

                Just took a brief nap, trying to get things done before I'm OUT again, and darn it, I'm still tired from last week.

                ANYway!, so glad people are on board for the rereading! I'm going to be out of it for one more week. If you all wanted to start now, someone can get it going now and I'll catch up later. Otherwise, maybe starting next week??

                I have a few more things to take care of so I'll be signing off. Again, everyone have a great weekend!

                    hello all!

                    Just wanted to pop in and say hi - am on day 5 (cheat free) of induction, fully in ketosis and past the flu! Am pretty happy and starting to get back into that controlled feeling again (it's like, 'oh yeah - that's why I did it!'). Appetite seems to be completely surpressed and I'm not as restless as I was before (a combination of guilt and making plans of what to stuff my face with next!). So all in all good.

                    Only downside is that I forgot my lunch when I went to work today so will be going from 10am to 6pm without eating anything, but I have a plan to get home and have a piece of cheese and slowly drink some water so I don't go on a mad binge. Though strangely enough, it's 5 hours since I last ate and am feeling fine, not hungry at all!

                      YOU HAVE TO EAT SOMETHING!!! Not supposed to go more than 6 hours without eating...Can't you get to a convenience store or grocery store and get some cheese and vegies?

                        Good Morning Everyone!

                        Happy Memorial Day to all my American friends!

                        Weather has cleared up here finally so I'm thinking a nice long bike ride is in order a bit later in the day (when its warmer). First this morning going to try out this beginner yoga dvd I bought. I could use the extra strength and flexibility.

                        Does anyone know of any guidelines or instructions on weight training that they could point me to on the board. I have a set of hand weights up to 25lbs and I would like to begin using them but I really want to know what I'm doing and what exercises for what muscles etc.

                        Ok, well a cup of decaf and then its yoga time.

                          no am on a reception desk on my own and cannot leave for that long! It's sooo annoying as I spent about 15 minutes making my lunch this morning, so I know that there's a bunch of tuna lettuce wraps in my fridge just waiting for me to get home....! It's ok - I can manage until I get home (that'll teach me to be so absent-minded).

                            THis is the book I have at home. I really like it and have had success with it.

                                Today is day seven cheat free for me and I am happy about that. One week done, it has gone by fast !!!
                                My weight loss for the week was only 2.5, but I am okay with that, if I can keep that up it would be ten pounds a month. That is good.
