Good morning everyone! Yawn! I wish I were still asleep, but the dog insisted on going out. He's a lazy old thing, but likes to get up early. He used to be cubby too, but a few years ago we switched him to senior dogfood and now he maintains his perfect weight. They always say how important it is to keep dogs at a healthy weight and not feed them junky people food. I don't know why we seemed to get it for a dog but not for ourselves!!!

        Congrats Skinnymom!

Jess, just take it slow and easy. Rest up and get ready for whatever you have planned.

Speedy, I'm not a country music fan, but I can see how cowboy dancin' could be a lot of fun. Have a geat time!

Should be a great day today! Great fun at a baseball game last night.

        Happy weekend everyone!

Good morning! Hope everyone is having a good morning. Slept really well after we had three huge thunderstorms last night over about 4 hours time. Still going to be hot and sticky today, though not as bad as yesterday.

Last day of school was yesterday. Started packing after the kids left at 12:00. Will need to go back Mon-Thurs next week. Will have plenty of time to pack and organize before the big move out of the dingy trailer and into the main school building. Yay!

Today is shopping day. My ds got all A's & B's for the 4th nine weeks and also received an award for being the most caring in his class. We told him he could buy something he wanted (within reason ) in town today. We are also taking him to his favorite restaurant for lunch - a place called the 5 and Diner. Great burgers there, so I can eat legally!

          Skinnymom - Congratulations!

          Jess - good for you.

Speedy - I love that kind of dancing - great way to burn calories, too! Have fun and enjoy yourself!

                Re: Saturday Morning Check-In

Hey all! Looks like you're getting the cruddy weather we had a few days ago.

Skinnymom, congrats on 20 pounds--that's fabulous!!

I took measurements and weighed in today. I'm up a pound, but down 3.5 inches, so I'm guessing that's due to strength training, which makes me VERY happy! I certainly have been feeling leaner, now the tape measure proves it! Heck, I wore size 9/10 jeans yesterday and I weigh 185 pounds. THANK YOU, STRENGTH TRAINING!

I've got a sore throat this morning and I've been drinking water non-stop. I drank almost 2 gallons yesterday. I hope I'm not getting sick! Today I'm planning to go for a short run, then eat some breakfast, then hit the gym later. I still haven't figured out what to do at the gym...I'm thinking a full body workout consisting of lunges, pushups, squats, planks, crunches. I'm bummed, the community pool is closed this weekend because they're hosting a swimming camp--I got a GREAT workout from swimming last week! Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait a few more days.

                Have a great day, STACers!

Morning STACers! Its like 90 degrees already here in South Carolina...geesh(the pool sounds like a lovely idea)

Just got back from grocery shopping...spent 220 bucks, but I'm now addicted to the grocery game, and I saved 93 bucks with coupons and on sale items! My fridge and freezer are sooooo packed. I am moving into OWL rung 2...so wish me luck.

Congrats skinnymom on the big 20...Ive made it to 10 lbs lost, so i'm excited. Its still going slower than I expected, but I feel good and I am upping my workouts to 30 minutes in the morning@ a faster pace. I'm now 100% on water, so I'm looking to see some good numbers in the next month.

Well, I'm off to order my son's birthday cake..his party is July 7th and I'm so nervous about being around all those yummy cakes(cake was the only time I cheated ..during week 2 and i totally freaked out!) Hopefully my willpower is stronger than any temptations that come my way. Hope everyone has a great and productive (or relaxing) Saturday! H2O cheers

                      Hi yall!

SkinnyMom and MsMichele way to go on the wieght loss!!

Sorry it is so sticky and hot for yall....I remember when I lived in Atlanta and in VA, I didn't think the humidity was that bad, but after living out west for the last 5 years where the desert is HOT but dry, I can't deal with even a touch of humidity!! For instance, it has 'cooled' off from 110 to about 100 degrees here, but let me tell you it is completely comfortable outside. Whereas when I lived in the South, it could only be 80 degrees and you add in that humidity, WHOA!! I am traveling back to VA over 4th of July and am not looking forward to that weather....

The only time it really gets unbearable in Arizona is when it is 110 or higher, which unfortunately will start this month.

Jess, glad you made it through your big week. That must have been difficult.

                      Speedy have fun cowboy dancing!!

Mitzi your new pic is so cute!

Great work everyone, I really appreciate and look forward to checking in with you daily! Today I am just going to try to hang in there, starting to feel the munchies/water retention in expectation of my TOM, ugh.

                            Hello STACadoos!

Cheers to everyone for your accomplishments for the week! What a positive way to live the day!!!

Well, I had Marathon school this morning. We learned about shoes and sizing. Did you all know that they don't recommend Cotton for socks if you are a runner? Doesn't absorb heat. Did you know that you should have 2 pairs of shoes, because the cusioning rubber that are in your shoes needs around 24 hours to bounce back. (The material that they are made of is super rubber with air blown into it. So, the pounding from the run/walk pushes the material down). Interesting.

We then did our weekly long run. Twenty minutes of: 1 min run/1 min walk). Needless to say, I'm taking it easy on the couch with two bags of frozen peas underneath my rear and hips. great excuse to stay out of the heat until this evening.

Have an awesome day you awesome chicks and chickaroos!

Hey everyone! You are all doing fantastic! There is so much good news out there. Was going to not weigh today... but couldn't stop myself... no change, again. sigh.
But, took my son down to the Emergency room at 7:30am...( that's the best time to go) for a broken hand. It is broken in two places. thumb and proximal 2nd metetarsal.. (close to the wrist)... lovely. Trying not to get all stressed out. This is the 2nd ER visit this week for my kids... Thought my daughter had a kidney infection, but turns out to just be gastro.... she's still not eating. But, she went in for IV rehydration, morphine, and a work up on Weds... I couldn't get out of work... so my husband took her...
Anyways, it was kinda funny as I used to work there and they are all my friends. I helped make the splint.lol. It's very upsetting though... I hate football, which is how he broke it. He wasn't going to tell me, but when I kept asking him to take his sister dinner before the powderpuff game which he was also going to which would've taken about one minute of his time he kept saying 'no, I can't' ... then I started getting mad at him at which point he said...'I broke my hand! okay? are you happy now?!' uh, no not really dear... Then he stormed off so I couldn't take care of it last night.... He's also broken his collar bone, his Sacrum 1 (stress fracture from lifting too much weights) his same hand another time, his ankle, and his finger....
He loves playing so much, he thinks he can just keep playing... and I'm the bad guy for making him see a doctor! If I had the energy, I'd have a nervous breakdown... but I don't really have the time. but he is driving me crazy... He certainly knows which buttons to push. He also won't call in sick tonight for his job. I even had one of my friends give him a scary lecture, which he said 'okay, okay, okay,' (He should stay home, rest and keep it elevated... it looks like a blown up glove balloon.
                              On another note.
We went to breakfast afterwards and had the most delicious omlet at Coco's. It was the steak, swiss cheese and mushroom one. I asked for avocado slices on the side instead of potatoes and they did! With lettuce! Wasn't that nice? Yummy too! I highly recommend that! I am determined to stay on this WOE. My friends all commented how much thinner I look... that was nice. Forget the **** scale. lol!
Well, my day can only get better... a walk and some exersize for sure is in the cards for me.
Have a great day... thanks for being there. I am encourage by all the success going on. It's wonderful.
