I put avocados, a sprinkle of sharp cheddar cheese, some salsa inside, and topped it with sour cream afterwards. Two sausage patties and yum!, that was a good breakfast!
Oh man, that sounds good!!

SANDY--WAY TO GO, girl! I am so proud of you. You're on track, you're determined, you're focused, I see fire in your eyes. As Jess would say, you've got your warpaint on. You must feel like a million bucks, losing 6 pounds!
Speedy--where are you headed in WY? It's one of my favorite states, and I know parts of it like the back of my hand. Let me know if you're looking for stuff to do, I'll play travel agent, for FREE.

Well today feels like a good day. I've got some travel planning/budgeting to do today, but I think we're going to do pretty well financially on our vacation. For the first week we'll be in the "city" probably eating out a lot, but the second week is all "nature" and we'll be doing picnic lunches. My job today is to estimate all purchases and come up with a budget.
In about an hour, I'm heading to the gym to do some strength training, and later today I've ALSO got to go grocery shopping! Hopefully I'll be able to take my jeep in today, so they can start working on it. That would be awesome!
Loved the direction of the post this morning Jess it is very timely for me since we are leaving for 3 days to my husbands high school reunion. Tonight everyone is meeting at an Italian restaurant so before I leave I will have my "legal food" that I am packing along with me and then at dinner I will just have a salad. For the picnics over the weekend I already found out they are BBQ'ing and will have cheese and veggie trays so I am good.
Sandy congratulations on the weight loss that is awesome. I'm really happy for you! And I agree with you statement "If I don't plan well, I don't do well" words for me to live by.
TMN have a great time camping. I am a little jealous I can't wait to get out and do some of that once the hecticness of this month is over!
Blaze you did a 5 mile bike ride and dropped a pound that is awesome. Good for you
I wish I had time this morning to address every post but I gotta get moving here so we can leave. I will miss posting this weekend and I will be thinking about you guys. Have a great weekend everyone!

Great posts everyone... Planning IS key to this WOE!
Well, weighed today... might be down a little but my eyes are getting worse and can barely see the red line and exactly where it falls so if it's one lb... can't really tell for SURE... so won't count it til I am sure...TOM continue to lurk... went to sleep feeling anxious about my son being out with friends at a movie... but couldn't make my self stay up til 3... of course he's fine and off to work bright and early. Friend still asleep.
Dh got down his real bicycle for me this am... planning on doing them outside on the 'real' bike vs in the house on the stationary bike... need more fresh air and sunshine.
Glad to be back from our little vacation... really appreciate the climate here after being in 115 degree weather.
Dragging my arms like an ape this am after 105 push ups last night. lol.
Congrats on the wt loss Sandy!

I have found that making 2 and 3 salad servings at a time is a great help with planning. I am not talking lettuce salad, but things that hold up for a day or two (and are sometimes better!) like chicken salad, shrimp salad, and tuna salad. I also love to have cucumber salad and cole slaw around too. These are great to pack for lunch or to eat when dinner needs to be quick. I have a few choices in my fridge prepared all the time. Add sliced tomatoes, pickles and a couple olives and I have a gourmet meal!
If I don't plan a meal I have these things as my backup plan. (Plan B is always nice for emergencies)
I'll be grocery shopping this weekend also!
Have a terrific weekend everybody. Sandy, I am so pleased you are seeing results again. It is a great reminder that stalls end if we "work the plan".

Hello everyone. I haven't posted in awhile. I tried to begin induction last week but failed. I started again Wednesday (7/11) and have managed to stay within my 20 carb per day limit
Jess - What an interesting post. You definitely gave me a few things to think about. It does make sense. I think that was why I was so successful my first time on Atkins, I was very good at planning. Over the last year I've become somewhat of a slacker in that department but it's time to get back on track.
So, when should I be in Ketosis? I haven't tested yet because I don't want to lose my motivation if the strip is negative.
i got a late start to my day today, so i'm just now checking in. i am always wishing i had more time, and i have never been much of a planner, but i know i need to change that so after reading all of your posts, i think i'm gonna start today. i need to go to the grocery store this weekend, so i am gonna start planning my meals for next week and make a list of all the things i need to restock the fridge and freezer.
time to go get my ab crunches done, so i'm off. hope you all have a wonderful day.
