  • Wednesday - Roll Call!

    Good Morning STACr's.

    Scooter here. Just wanted to start the day off with a great big helping of 'good morning' with a side of 'have a wonderul day'.

    My exercise plan is starting to pay off, how are you doing!

    Planning is everything for sure!! Outback Jess has taught us all that.

    We plan we survive we succeed!!

    Have a wonderful wonderful day........tonight is gig night, looking forward to playing for the masses.....dining out........haha

    Good morning Scooter and STAC...I am up early, off to sing some songs to a school teacher who partners with me classrooms....Originally we should be walking now, but her husband can't watch the kids.

    Planning, planning, planning. I came here early to get my focus for the day. I've been exercising like a maniac! Plotting and planning challenges. I've got my end of the summer one, a small triathalon, and I've got my winter one, a half marathon...that'll take me way into next year and that's my goal right now, to keep this firm lifestyle going well into it's second year....NOTHING HAPPENS BY ACCIDENT! We forge the path to success...We stay on track, cut down obstacles, The SUCCESS YOU HAVE EARNED IS NO MISTAKE!

      Good Morning Everyone... I am so excited.. I am down another lb... I need one more to hit the 30 mark.. that would be exciting if I hit it before Friday...before I go away for the weekend.

      It felt good yesterday to go to water aerobics.. although I felt it right away that I hadn't been in a while..

          Good morning! Checking in long enough to say howdy and get some motivation here. Planning AND execute are definitely key... (Admittedly, I'm not doing well on either department lately. We'll get there!)

            Good morning everyone! Looks like another rainy day here. Scooter, I hope the weather holds out for you tonight.

            I bought a pair of pants a few weeks ago online that I love. I wish they were too big, but they still fit. They're black with little bicycles all over them. Well, last night I received another pair that I ordered, several sizes smaller. I'm holding them as a reward for when I get down to that size! And as I was grocery shopping last night, I was thinking that if I get a craving or need a reward, I can always go over by the books and magazines and pick out something there. I'm not doing too well planning my exercise ahead of time, but I'm getting good at planning rewards!!! LOL!

              Good Morning everyone!

              I have been at a district meeting in Atlanta for 2 days. Wow, I know what is needed to stay focused. My routine was messed up and that gives my Bad Buffy side of the brain excuses to not participate in this WOE. Of course, the alcohol makes Bad Buffy become Bad Buffy with a side of Wild Buffy. Oh, well.

              Lessons learned. Today is a plan and focus day. So, important.

                Morning, LOL Sheepie. Going to take lessons from you about the rewards.
                I am still holding stready and will until I start really exercising regularly. I also think I have been eating a little low on fat, so going to up that a tad too. Planning lunch and snacks really helps. Going to be a GREAT day, tomorrow starts our 2 day trainer kick off meeting maybe after that I can or after this or after that......nope. Today I will do some exercise, the walk a mile cd.

                  Good morning all STAC peeps! Just checking in because I'm supposed to. Have to keep at least that one little connection regardless of what happens the rest of the day. Computers are back up and half working today, so I'll be busy busy busy. It was down almost all day yesterday and twiddling my thumbs made me think of snacks. But I didn't give in to the vending machine. Instead, I went home early. Hey, can't work, why stay?

                  I'm still needing to get on the exercise wagon. Real hard to get motivated when you work 10 hour days. Add an hours drive to work and back again, and it really suck any ambition out of you. I actually fell asleep at the wheel yesterday. Woke up in time to keep from going off into the median, but the shoulder ride was exciting enough...so I stopped, got a diet Dr. Pepper and a lottery ticket and woke up a bit before finishing the second half of my drive home. I do not like falling asleep at the wheel!

                  My nephew is trying to get me to join the gym he's a member of. I haven't decided. I've had gym memberships before and they didn't last more than a couple of months. I've bought exercise equipment, but they didn't last more than a couple of months, either. I'm just getting tired of putting out money then not using it. I still have a treadmill, but it's jammed in a corner of the spare room, at least until we can get the queen size bed out of there. Limited space right now. Somebody got a cattle prod????

                    Good morning all. I have decided to move on up to OWL. I know I'm not supposed to weigh myself all the time and my official weigh in day is tomorrow, but after weighing myself this morning, I was only down 1 pound, I'm hoping more shifts by tomorrow morning
                    I need to do more exercise but I'm struggling to figure out which ones work for me. the elliptical doesn't seem to be shifting that much. As for food, I'm still struggling with eating all my carbs. Yesterday this was my menu:

                    Breakfast - 5 slices of cucumber with cream cheese on them
                    Lunch - Cheese, onion, and chicken pieces
                    Dinner - Poached Eggs, bacon, with mushrooms, garlic and cream cheese.

                    Is that an okay menu?

                      Goood Morning!!!! WoooooHooooo! I am on Cloud 9! Today is my official 1 week mark. I am down almost a full 6 pounds!! *chubby shuffle* I was this weight at the end of April. I am turning back the clock!

                      Summer- I would really try and get in more vegetables. I made the mistake of slackin' off on the veg and my weightloss came to a screeching stop. I love vegetables but once ketosis kicks in I just lose the appetite and then forget to make sure to eat them first before my yummy meats. It made for a very frustrating end of the year last year for me. I know you have a lot of veg listed but did it equal 2 cups worth? You might want to punch in a few random menus into fitday to make sure your ratios are okay and that your calories are high enough. Just wanted to relay my experience. On a side note, were the mushrooms cooked in the bacon? That's sounds really yummy!

                        Thanks for the advice. I sometimes have the mushrooms fried in butter, then I add mashed garlic and cream cheese, it's gorgeous!!! Last night I crumbled up the bacon and added that instead.

                          Well, I got up to go get my bloodwork done after fasting this morning. Had to eat as soon as that was over. Sunday should be my last day of Induction but I cheated so I'm making myself do it 3 more days just to be safe. My idea of OWL right now is Induction with boiled peanuts. It may be going out of order but I don't care about the other stuff!!!! I know it sounds gross but I'm thinking of using splenda and coconut milk in my coffee. I've done it before and liked it. But other than those things I can be happy on Induction for awhile.
                          I hurt my knees walking everyday, so I shopped and missed a day and the swelling is down so I can do it again soon. Today I am taking the girls to play at a friends and staying going to church with them so I will miss my walk. But I am taking some canned food over with me so I don't miss any meals or cheat.
                          And those scales, I use to weigh on Monday and Thursday only I'm gonna try really hard to do that after Sunday.



                          My starting weight was 235 lbs and I'm trying to get to 130 lbs.

                          1st mini goal: 145! met 12/09
                          2nd mini goal: 140!
                          3rd mini goal:135!
                          4th mini goal: 130!

                          I drink coffee. I drink when I am thirsty. I am just a low carber. Not on Atkins at all!!! He has everything to do with my weightloss and nothing to do with it, depending on who you ask.

                              Sandy, I lost another pound too! congrats...wish that whoosie fairy would visit us both soon so we could get to 30!

                              Bad Buffy, you made me laugh this morning!
