    Good Morning to all!

    It is Monday, mid summer 2007.

    I ran 3.5 miles this morning and watched the sun come up. It just reminded me of new beginnings. Boy, it felt good and I guess, optimistic. I got that "I can do anything, feeling!"

    So, I'm hoping that y'all can catch a little of my optimism. Set your attitude straight, first thing this morning. I'm going to do this. I'm going to have a great day because when I think it and say it out loud, it will manifest itself.

    My wish for you all is to have an absolutely fulfilling day. Both with food and with mental energy!

    Rock on you bunch of stud muffins and of course, can't forget the studs.

    Wow, you are motivated today. I am up early so I can run too! I've not run much lately and yesterday I took the whole day off just to rest and I actually did it, I fully rested! That's pretty darn good for this old girl.
    I will come in from my run full of endorphines really to kick butt!

    Hope everyone at STAC is going to have a great day! Livestrong today, live a strong life, keep working hard at your goals, and promises.

      Good morning all. Are stud muffins girls? I thought they were men too. Oh well, I'm not in the market anyway!

      I didn't walk yesteday, but we did go to a sort of nature preserve and walked all over the place on trails through the woods, through fields, over streams and through wildflowers. It was such fun!

      Last night we finally made the plank fish. Dh cooked salmon on a cedar plank on the grill. Has anyone tried this? They make special cedar (or other wood) grilling planks that aren't treated with chemicals. It gives the fish a really yummy smokey flavor. Had that with broccoli salad. I bought extra fish just so I could have leftovers for lunch today!

      This week dh goes to Jacksonville for an interview. Ohio to Florida. That would be a huge move for us. I've come to really love living here, but JAX has so many possibilities and I think the weather would lead to a more active lifestyle, something that I think is very important, both for our own health, but also as an example for our children. We'll know more by the end of the week.

      Happy Monday to all. Yesterday I refered to today as the "daily grind" but Buffy is making me look forward it!!

        Well, I've been staying with my ex. He's breaking up with me again so I'm in the process of moving. Its gonna take awhile to get everything set up, lights and stuff. I'm moving into a trailer and I need permits and things before I can move back in. I have not done my walking but I'm eating right. I probably won't be on the boards until I'm in my trailer and have a phone and earthlink. I'll be poor so I'll be on dial-up. I lost 11 lbs on induction. So I weigh 209 now. Oneday I'll go figure out the tickers.



        My starting weight was 235 lbs and I'm trying to get to 130 lbs.

        1st mini goal: 145! met 12/09
        2nd mini goal: 140!
        3rd mini goal:135!
        4th mini goal: 130!

        I drink coffee. I drink when I am thirsty. I am just a low carber. Not on Atkins at all!!! He has everything to do with my weightloss and nothing to do with it, depending on who you ask.

          Rita, you go girl,keep focused on your eating as you make these transitions in your life...stay on plan and you will be reaping the benefits of a strong life...

          Sheepie, yep moving to florida would infact probably increase your active lifestyle, you'd learn down here in the south, we get up early to exercise!!! Either the heat or the afternoon thunderstorms and humidity will kill all desires! Atlanta's a little bit better and Jacksonville is on the coast so that's a very big plus! Don't move inland in florida if at all possible...stay near the ocean!!! Set that alarm early in the morning, Buffy's not kidding when she says she's exercised at 5:30am....THERE's a REASON for that....I lived in florida for 30 yrs....Atlanta is kinder on some occasions...at least we get all 4 seasons!

            Good morning, Folks!

            Yesterday, I was on my feet most of the day, busy cleaning my house. I was a regular Suzi-Homemaker and really enjoyed it!

            Best part is, I'm not crippled over or sick today as a result! WOOHOO!!!

            It's gonna be a GREAT day today!! I hope it is for evenyone else, too!

              Morning, still fighting allergy junk, but getting rdy for work and am determined to have a productive day. hubby is off today (not fair) so its always hard to get going when he is home. almost wish I was really sick, maybe it will turn into a sinus infection. My doctor will be really proud of me for losing some weight, I have been pretty healthy since I started Atkins. It feels like I have been doing this woe for my whole life now. Which is good because I plan to keep it that way.

                i spent the weekend in palm springs for a spa getaway with some friends, and stayed on track the entire time! didn't gain, didn't lose.

                    Morning! I'm here and on plan. I'll own up to being slightly wicked Saturday night. I swung from the alcohol rung like a monkey who had been cooped up too long. It was my first girl's night in a good 2 years. The first night I have spent away from home without DH or DS in 3 years. It was a blast. Fondue party, plenty of meats and cheese, veg tray. I was homesick by 7 am though LOL wrote a note and left it on the counter and came home. I was missed. DH had bacon and eggs ready for me and I have been eating clean since. I am sure it will be a good while before doing something like that again, but hopefully not 3 years. LOL Wednesday I move up a rung and will start increasing my carbs to find my CCLL. I am excited about this.

                    Did anyone of you stay on rung 2 until finding your CCLL and then move up? I feel like knowing my CCLL ahead of time before adding in different food factors, keeping the variables limited, seems like a easier way to find out the "issue" foods. Anyone have experience with this?

                      Morning everyone!
                      What a great start to your morning Buffy, and Jess... so great to exersize early.
                      Today I've planned to take a break... almost have to make myself... but leg muscles are pretty sore and kept me awake last night... think they're over due for a rest day. Dh and I took a nice long hike last evening after making spagetti sauce... when we got home I had mine over califlower... pretend pasta... lol. It was good. It's so easy to make little adjustments that keep me on the straight and narrow, yet not really all that difficult to do.
                      Up early this am as I have a big day... helping with VBS, my sewing class, then work... today I am learning the machine embroidery part of my new machine... yesterday I made a really cute retro type apron and am working on a couple more for my cousins so we can be triplets... and think of eachother when we wear them... I have my to make my lunch and prepare for the day... so glad I have some legal casserole put up in the freezer to throw in... makes for a nice easy treat for my dinner tonight. Like we always say... plan to succeed... that's me... today.
                      Tomorrow is my quilt day with the group from work... we call it 'Stitch and @itch'...
                      Gotta plan for that too... a challenge everyday really. That's okay. It really is so much easier to just say no. Cheating is so not an option.

                        Hi Everyone,

                        We are up and rolling early this morning,my daughter starts soccer camp this week and we have to hit the field by 8:30 am. Wouldn't you know it, they say it never rains in So. Cal, well guess what? We are getting some rain right now. It won't last long so I guess we better enjoy it!

                        Last night I went back to the DANDR and read the chapter about coping in the real world with food, it was something that I needed to re-read. I stayed on track all day yesterday and actually kept track of my carb intake.

                        I hope you all have a wonderful positive day. I have to run!

                          Buffy, I raise my glass of water high, in salute to 'new beginnings'.

                          I love how that sounds. We get so much 'repeat business' here in STAC and it's wonderful for a new person, or even a regular (hint hint) who needs to see those words and focus on them.

                          Hope you all have a great day. My vehicle solution will be solved this week, so I can start getting up early in the morning and exercising again, walking, running, bike riding, yeah baby. Finally looking forward to it!!

                            Good Morning Everyone,

                            Just checking in to keep my WOE in order this week. It is good to visit every day even if only to say "hi". Official weigh in today and didn't actually lose but didn't gain. Need to be better about Fitday, but I really think I am eating fine. I tend to lose alot all in one "whooshie" per month. I am about due.....

                            Exercize has been down because I am keeping late night hours these past few weeks trying to get this musical production off the ground. Tonight is my last night for finishing touches as tomorrow night it is the first official performance (dress rehearsal for all the volunteers). One more late night after tonight and then my life is my own again. Back to walking early before work.

                              Just checking in for morning roll call. Had a decent weekend. Only fell off the wagon once and that's when we went to Golden Corral for lunch. Had a huge salad, several meats, all cooked in 'allowable ways' - they were out of chicken - then topped it off with dessert...2 chunks of canteloupe, which might have equalled one thin slice. I know it's not on induction, but I had to have something to keep me happy and out of the coconut/caramel covered brownies (actually, that sounds too sweet) and they didn't have any berries. I don't think it derailed me. Last time I was on this WOE, I was all the way up to rung 8 and still loosing steadily, so I'm not going to worry too much about a little canteloupe...and it's not even my favorite...just all they had.

                              And water...boy did I go through the water! Doesn't help that it was bakingly hot and I worked out in the garden for awhile. Then it got too hot for my super white hiney. I don't do sun too well...my husband says I'm so white I moon burn. Anyway...like I said, just checking in.
