    Good Morning All!!

    Sounds like it's planning day for everyone! I just took Mitzi's advice and went and picked up a food scale. In the book they described the measurement for a cup as a fist size. For some things this is correct, but I just don't trust myself to do it this way anymore. I've realized that I've been eating less veggies than I should've been!

      I have that same panic most nights!! If I plan and shop on Sunday, I run out of meals and ideas by Thursday! I don't know why my plans just fall apart later in the week, but I need to work on it.

        Good Morning everyone and welcome Tomorrow I'll Be Perfect! I'm on another losing streek, lost another pound. YAY! Feeling really great and full of energy. SassiLee, great start today hon! Plan,plan,plan! The only way to go with this woe. Happy it's friday,tomorrow is grocery shopping for us. I've been checking out new recipes and will be picking up things to try them out. Wishing all of you a safe and leagal weekend!

          Morning all!

          Planning is my strength...maybe I plan too much. Some people tell me that. Don't plan everything they say...be spontaneous! But, alas, its not me. I'm a planner and organizer so this WOL was meant for me. Not planning is an issue I don't have. Now, why can't I implement planning on the exercise front...hehehe. Cuz I don't really like it thats why. Maybe some day.

          Anyway, another glorious day here on the prairies. I go get my hair re-highlighted this afternoon and it needs it.

          Welcome "Tomorrow"...nice to have you here. I see you are from Canada...where abouts? Wow, 3 Canadians on the thread this morning, that has to be a record...lol. *waves to Pink also...where in Canada are you hon?

            MOrning all! I guess I'm the late bird this morning! I went to the gym and the next stop is lunch with a friend for a Marcelous bacon tomato omelet and then off to do the groceries so I can have TONS of legal foods...Going to be cooking up a storm this weekend...Have a legal day all!               Good morning, all! Glad to check in and see everyone! I'm feeling grrrreat, completely focussed.

              I want to, however, correct this silly idea you guys have that planning is the key to Atkins. It isn't.

              Unless you don't like the idea of having to eat a tablespoon of butter to ward off the cravings for popcorn, because there's no cheese sticks left.

              Or unless you don't think it's ok to skip salad for 3 days because you forgot that instead of one head a week, you now need 3 or 4.

              Or unless you aren't a big fan of defrosting a pepperoni french bread pizza just to get the pepperoni because you are out of chicken.

              But I mean, really, who isn't ok with those things?

                  Hey everybody! I'm late getting here, but I'm here nonetheless. So hello to any other late comers. I had so many things to do this morning, plus I'm dragging from staying up too late. I know I'm tired when I have the dropsys. So far I've dropped two glasses of water on my carpet. They slipped right out of my hand. Cleaning my carpet is not what I had in mind today.

                  So many new people here, it's getting hard to keep track. Welcome newbies. I hope you stay around for the ride, it gets better.

                  Gotta run to the airport and pick up hubby, go get groceries, and pay some bills. Friday's here are traffic jam days. But, it's a beautiful day out, although a very hot one. Hope everyone has a good Friday... TGIF!

                    Hi! Sorry so late checking in... stayed up late watching a movie with dd after work last night. It was 'Keeping Mum' very cute...
                    Then slept in a little... today was a planned rest day... so that was great! but when I got up my dh informed me that a water heater had leaked in the garage... luckily no water damage... but he is changing it out right now so there is no water in the kitchen... which means I'm not cooking! lol!
                    Went to a sewing class and sewed all day! So planning to sew the rest of the evening! Sewing marathon to finish quilt! Can't wait... it's so pretty.
                    new pants are falling off me!
                    haven't weighed in a while... maybe tomorrow.

                      Well I had another blood pressure scare today and had to call the ambulance again. This time I had to go to the emergency room and the doctor there told me that I had better get off the Atkins diet and drastically reduce my salt intake. I have been on medication for a long time and it has always been controlled but over the last month since being on this diet this is the third time it has been high enough to go to emergency. My potassium was really low too and they had to give me these horse pills to take. I have been taking vitamins every day too.

                      Anyway, I will miss you guys but this just isn't working for me.

                          Sorry Deb, That's awful about your blood pressure... I've also struggled with my potassium... it has nothing to do with vitamens... completely different... You can get suppliments over the counter or in your case you probably need a prescription... better do what your doctor says about getting off of salt. I don't use it myself. I use a low salt version that is made with potassium and a lot less sodium... I can't tell the difference and neither do my kids or husband. Also avoiding salty meats, nuts, etc... like olives... they are soooo salty that I can't eat them at all!
                          Anyways, hang in there and do what you have to do to be healthy! Good luck and let us know how you're doing. Are you over the poisoning episode? I wonder if that is also part of it??? It's good you are staying on top of it.

                            I'm sorry to see you go, Deb. I'm not convinced that Atkins is the problem, but you've got to do something and if that's what the doctors say... You really need to get your bp under control. I hope you'll give up updates along the way.

                              Sorry to hear about your bp Deb. My mom struggles with hers, and I know what she goes through. It's not a good time.
