Re: Sunday Morning Insomnia Roll Call

    Bambina -

Poor baby. Well, it will only last about 48 hours, and you know how it feels after it passes - TERRIFIC! Keep holding on to that thought, and you'll make it through.

If it gets too much, post again here and we'll provide you with a personalized pep talk!

Don't forget to drink enough water so that you feel like you float to the bathroom! And fat! Eat fat! And sleep! Sleep as much as you can!
    Start date: 7/29/2007

    Scale: SW:235 CW:193

Tape Measure: I've lost 42.5 inches as of 3/15/2008

    Mini goals:
    215 - met 9/10/07
    205 - met 10/17/07
    195 - met 2/20/08

    I survived a two-month stall!

Day 7 lesson...eat at regular times. No headache today until I missed lunch time. Nice to not be hungry but the headache sucks. Had a nice lunch & now back to quilting!! DH is playing golf & will walk with me later today. Excited that my clothes are fitting better!! Approaching 64 oz of H20 thus far.

The surgeon is going to basically remove the sweat glands (bonus! Less antipersperant on that side!) by excising a huge section of the underarm.

Under local anaesthetic, but with copious quantities of sedatives. Should only take about 1/2 hour, and I have no idea what the rest of my day will be like. He assures me that recovery time is minimal.

I'm looking forward to the absence of the pain of the infections, even if it means some pain from the incision for awhile. What I am NOT looking forward to is the idea of someone slicing into my flesh while I'm awake, so I hope they sedate me pretty quickly when I arrive at the hospital!

            GM -

That thing about eating regularly is something we could all probably have tattooed on our foreheads as a reminder! Happened to me the other day - I was out and forgot about lunch, and all of a sudden, I was ravenous, weak, shakey, and craving all sorts of forbidden foods. It took all of my willpower to stop at the Arby's drive-in and pick up a couple of regulars, ditch the bread, and eat.

            Thanks for the reminder!

Re: Sunday Morning Insomnia Roll Call

I missed the morning roll call, as I was up and out at 6:30 this morning. That is so unlike me, I am not an early riser. But I got up early this morning and did a 7 mile kayak paddle with my son despite being in the midst of induction flu. Brought us both 2 boiled eggs, water and a slice of cheese for breakfast, which we ate on the river. Got home around 1:30, took a shower and off to a cookout at mom's house. Cookouts are easy for me low carbing, a burger, a couple deviled eggs and some summer squash and I'm good to go. Induction flu seemed to start fading this evening, I'm praying it's gone tomorrow as I have a very busy week at work. I hope you all have a great week.

Made a good lunch & dinner... staying on track food wise. Feel like I eat all the time. Had butternut squash at noon... soooo good!
