    I attribute it to: Starting OWL after 2 weeks and starting to run using the couch to 5k.

    I can't wait to measure on the 9th!

    Heidi, I'm so happy for you that the run was actually a good experience this time - isn't it wonderful when that happens? And you're only on week TWO! WOO HOO!

    I don't know which kind of poster I am from Jess' list, but I know that I need all of you guys (you're my support team) and I definately belong here. So thanks again, every single person who posts here, for giving me what I need.
    Congrats Evermind- Excellent job!

    Happy Thursday to you all. My Husband is taking a long weekend starting today sooo I don't know how I will get anything done.

      Hi all. I'm late to post everyday because I work late. I need to get my sleep schedule in order because I'll be getting up early during the week to substitute teach and then getting up late during the weekends to work 6pm-4am.


      So, anyway....19 POUNDS, EVERMIND? That's Awesome!!!!

        Good early afternoon my dear friends. I have been up since the crack of dawn and been to 2 doctors visits. Had my thryoid out late June, saw the Endo today and my last visit with the surgeon. All is well and I was VERY happy to hear them say "you have lost 10 lbs since your last visit" - that almost made it worth getting up so early.

        I feel for all of you that have to be up and out of the house by 6am or so - I did it for many years while working law enforcement but after almost 6 years at home I think it should be illegal to have to be out that early

        My day won't end here though - still have shopping to do and then caring for a neighbors 5 year old all night tonight. I bet I sleep good tonight, let's just pray he does

          Hi everyone... I am checking in..haven't been here in a while.. I am trying to get through the last week of summer vacation.. On Tuesday I will start my food program again.. I haven't quit my water aerobics class this whole time so I am just up a few pounds

          I fixed Green "Enchilada" Chicken Casserole last night from Linda's website and it was really good.. even my daughter liked it...

          Going to meet teachers tonight..this is scary...lol For those of you that don't know I have homeschooled my daughter for the last 5 year and she is going to Public High School this year..

          Just wanted to say Hi and I hope by next week to be on here more..

              I am back! Not officially on induction again until the 1st but wanted to say Hi! I posted my new goals and my off Atkins weight gain on the main forum. I was so close last time but one bad food choice led to another and well most of us know how that goes. Anyway Hi to all and I will try to make it here daily for inspiration and to reaffirm my commitment to Atkins!

                  Hi all, had a close call just now with a sour dough roll... took 1 bite, threw the rest away when I snapped to. argh! I think I'm pmsing! either that or I'm sick... belly is bloated, crampy, tired, irritable... couldn't sleep last night so when dd woke me I jumped up running... We went to breakfast for her birthday, and then shopping. Then I had a meeting for Younglife... if you know what that is... youthgroup type thing. Now gotta get ready for family dinner... at 6pm. Getting in my exersize now doing the old multitasking thing on the bike while I check in here! Can't wait to have a real day off! Got way too much going on! oh well, who doesn't.

                    Evening everyone. I always feel one step behind in this thread!! lol.

                    Anywho, I had to tramp through my kids lunchroom this morning and yesterday during breakfast and let me tell you, THE SMELL ALMOST KILLED ME.

                    Oh sooooo yummy cinnamon rolls gooey with icing (THEY LET THE KIDS EAT THIS STUFF!!!) and french toast dripping with oh so mapley syrup.

                    I just about drooled down my shirt!!

                      Hi All, I know I'm very late, been on the go since 4:30 am, finally walked thru the door.
                      Today is day 3 for me, and I screwed up induction, hopefully not too bad. I had half a serving of beef jerky, so 2.5 grams of sugar. But, tomorrow is a new day. Good Night, Mandi

                        LOL...I am sorry.. I have been working alot.. Hubby and I are having MAJOR issues.. I enrolled my daughter in Public School...Spent time shopping.. Just had a dance recital of course we had 3 nights a week practices.. Tried to hit the pool a few times.. Went to water aerobics twice a week... Ummm I know there is more...Oh and I am looking for another job....

                          Wow! You do have a lot on your plate! I'm kinda new to this thread, but not exactly new to this board.

                          Michigander - Try this for breakfast:

                          2 lbs bulk breakfast sausage (the rolls)
                          1 lb lean gr. beef
                          8 oz (2 cups shredded) sharp cheddar
                          some dried onion flakes (couple tablespoons?)
                          3 eggs
                          1 Cup flax seed meal (ground flax)
                          black pepper

                          Mix all this together like meatloaf using your hands. Make about 64 1 inch to 1.5 inch balls. Bake on cookie sheets (spray first) at 375 for 25 min to 30 min. When cool, put 4 balls each in baggies (16 servings) and stick 'em in the freezer. And........Voila! Breakfast in the microwave!

                          By the way, I've been lurking here and really enjoying everyone's posts.

                          19 pounds for you evermind!!!! That's fantastic! I had been looking forward to you weigh in. Just had a feeling it would be rewarding.

                          I quit smoking on 1/1/2006. Went to see my Dr. the other day and he called me "a marvel". Said I've both quit smoking and lost weight (25 + pounds!). He said he was going to use me as an example for his other patients. What a great pat on the back that was!

                          Thanks for all the inspiration, motivation and wisdom - day after day - on this thread. I find I really look forward to a few minutes here each day. I know it's helping me move forward.
