Woo Hoo!!! You're doing it!! Keep up the great work, keep coming to the board for support & check out the recipes!!

Someone already suggested staying off the scale. If you haven't taken your measurements please do so. It is wonderful to see the inches go. If you don't have a tape measure go out & get one!

      Have a good evening!

Re: Wanting to start today..for the 100th time this year

Hey man, just found your post and thought I'd chime in. 32 y/o male here on my 2nd/3rd? go around. I'm a little over 4 months in and have found this time easier than my first. I have done things differently that I think have made a difference.
Last time I did not measure myself. So if I didn't lose much weight, I had nothing to fall back on for encouragement like size loss. I made sure to measure this time. (I now wish I had taken a before picture, too).
I made sure I had hard boiled eggs for snacks. For me, those between meal urges were tough to overcome so having something around helps. I like to snack on pepperoni, too, but it is heavy in sodium and my intestinal system doesn't particularly like too much of it.
I moved. Yeah, sounds funny and it wasn't for the diet. I no longer live where I can have pizza delivered. Do whatever it takes to keep yourself from caving in to those old fall backs like delivery or take-out or grocery store goodies.
I did clean out my fridge and pantry completely so no temptations.
I've forced myself to exercise. It took about a month or so in before I did but now I'm out there 5 to 6 days a week. Got an ipod nano to help.
Lastly, I've made new foods. I still tend to eat the same things over and over but I spice things up every now and then. Linda's website it the best. My usual day is bacon and eggs for breakfast, salad with chicken or tuna and cheese for lunch, hot wings for dinner. I like to snack on cheese, pepperoni, pork rinds. I keep myself full on water, too.

Glad you've made it through the first few days well. I think the first two weeks are the toughest. After that, you see results and that can carry you all the way through. Keep it up!

Oh, and keep visiting the forums constantly. That has helped me a lot as well. Post your results in the journal stats board.

I love Linda's site too. She has amazing recipes on there.

Way to go on your induction journey!! Keep plowing along and before you know it you'll be here cheerleading for others! You're a great inspiration to us all to keep doing what we're doing because it works.

Make sure you get yourself a good multivitamin and commit to it. I take a weight smart one for people on low carb diets with extra B and Chromium.

            church picnic today..

remained lo-carb despite EVERYTHING known to man available. wasn't even a second thought.

usually, i carb out and then take an involuntary nap @ the church picnics...today, i played basketball with 7 other guys..i huffed and puffed as it's been YEARS since I played..BUT, you have to understand how different this behaviour was/is

i got winded..but i'm not "hurting" and to top it all off..one of my friends, totally out of the blue, says "you look like you've lost some weight"...

            boom!

tuesday will be a week...i'm really doing it this time!! yes!!

be encouraged lurkers..YOU CAN DO IT TOO!

              ok...a week and one day.

              will not weigh myself!!!!!

clothes fitting looser than before. i bought a xxl shirt @ target that fits like an xl. haven't ben able to wear it since i bought it 3 weeks ago,,after 1 week on atkins, i am approx 4 -5 days away from wearing it.

bought ketone strips...yep! they are turning. just the booset i need.

i never mentioned that my wife is doing this with me..and bang! we are both just flat out losers!

If you read this and are wondering if you can do it..i testify..YES YOU CAN!

haven't posted in a while...wanted to let everyone know that tuesday will be the completion of my 4th week on atkins..and results are great!

my wife is on too and doing amazing! it's so much easier with both of us committed.

dont know how much we've lost..refuse to weigh..BUT clothes fit better and some that didn't fit before (at all) are now being worn! that's good enough for me!!

be encouraged folks! it still works.

Re: Wanting to start today..for the 100th time this year

Write yourself notes and put them on your fridge, cupboards, car, etc...

My favorite note to look at (currently on my cupboards):

                    "You are stronger than food."

                    Repeat that to yourself.

And, there are SO many awesome Atkins-friendly meals.. read up on recipes.

We all fall off the wagon (this is my first day back in almost a month) but the key thing is getting back on!!!

I believe in you! Post often!
