Hey good morning STACers. Boy yesterday was monday and in my world monday is the new sunday. I work on the weekend soooo darn hard and sunday I am working at the church, so it's a crazy day....so yesterday I took my day off....no exercise, only laundry and grochery shopping.
Rest renews me, it really does. I am always fighting rest, but when I do rest, it really renews me. I am an all-or-nothing girl, and when I slow down and think in terms of "sustaining" something, I actually do it a bit calmer, slower, I've even trained myself that some times less is a bit more"....
A year ago I was training myself to get up at 5am so I could come here and get all motivated! I made myself get up 7 days a week at 5am. I sought self control above all else. Not wanting the other side of me to get any upper hand. I also made myself exercise before the real day began, again making sure above all else I had that done! I also made sure I left the house with a plan of WHEN I WOULD EAT AGAIN and WHAT I WOULD EAT.
Today things are a bit different, I don't have a choke hold of my actions like that. But I don't leave the house with out food or a plan. NEVER! I do exercise all the time, and I still get up earlier tho sleep is vital to the triathlete...vital!
Sustaining, take REARRANGING! Building momentum in your life with a new habit takes time and focus and then comes the day, where you just come along and make tiny adjustments or give it a little push...and the plate spins on!
