  • Thu Morning Roll Call - 10/11

    Good morning everyone! I now have 10 (count 'em...10) cheat free days under my belt. And more good news...another .5 off the scales today. WOO WOO

    My job has been so hectic lately that I barely have time to think. But I'm sticking to the woe and not letting all the madness get in my way! Frankly, focusing on this woe/wol gives me an outlet at work, so there's ANOTHER benefit. Man, the good things just keep on comin'!

    Goal for today:
    1. No cheats
    2. Drink more water
    3. Exercise!
    4. Count my blessings for this woe and this forum!!!

    This is such a magical time where it all begins to come together and you feel sooo good about what you are doing and the diet begins to settle in your body and it feels good. Now just keep getting through each day the objective and it will really begin to add up and weight down. Cheat free is so inspiring for me personally. I absolutely love it!
    I was using some of the higher rung grains and fruit to sustain me while training for the triathlon, and now I am back down to almost induction level for 2 weeks to take off the mini-muffintop, all in preparation for my trip and eating out of country...

      Mornin everyone!

      One meal at a time, thats the way I think of this WOL. I was struggling there for a bit but I feel I'm back on track. I'm in a routine and routine is what works for me.

      Congrats on the cheat free days and pounds lost so far huggija. Isn't low carb eating GREAT!

      Jess...I envy you going to Australia. I've always wanted to go there and will get there some day I'm sure.

        Good morning all - or should I say good evening? It's just after 9pm here in Queensland, Australia. I have just completed my 4th clean induction day and am feeling great. This time last week I was so depressed. I felt so out of control.

        My personal win for today was to push my dinner plate away, even though a quarter of my meal remained. It was very yummy but I didn't need anymore, so I thought I'd save it for lunch tomorrow. I've never really been able to exercise the self-control to do that before.
        Anyway - hope you all have a fantastic day!

          Yeah yoyogirl, push away that food, that is by far the hardest thing of all for me!
          I am so happy for you and your success.

          Today is a rest day, I've really over exercised a great deal this week, what with a new membership at the gym, I hope to work at after certification and with all the studying I'm doing....now getting ready for my trip keeps my days much longer than they were.
          Hope you all have a great one....Keep up all the good work, it really pays off.

              Here I am! This is day 4 for me on induction and I have had 3 cheat free days! Today WILL be number 4!!! My goals for today is to drink 96oz of water, be cheat free, and exercise for 30 mins on my stationary bike! Have a great day everyone!

                Hi all!

                I guess this is my 72'd cheat free day. Never thought about that before.

                Scale is still up by 3 lbs - I lost .5 yesterday, I guess. It really puzzles me. How could I have jumped 3.5 lbs for no reason? Ah, well. I'm betting the measuring tape contradicts the scale.

                Last night I had a great workout at the gym. I realized last night that I haven't even put in my yoga tape, which is one commitment I made for my October goals. I have class tonight, so perhaps afterwards. I look forward to it - I always feel stronger and more flexible after a week or so of doing it. I want to look into a yoga class down the street, but I have to wait until December - that kitchen really took a bite out of our finances, lol. (But it looks FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

                Today is another 1/2 day at school, and I have no parent conferences, so once again I get to putter in the classroom and do planning. Love that. Then I have an awful class tonight, which I am dreading. (ick) The teacher never returns emails and it's a computer-based class, but half of us can't log on to the website - how dumb is that? We're all so mad!

                I'm ready for the day. Got lunches packed, hair in steam curlers (too tired last night to blow dry, lol) and once dh gets out of the bathtub (he's a morning soaker) I can do the whole makeup thing. Then, we're off!

                    GM everyone I am still not feeling well but I am just going to try to do the best I can today. I didnt get to exercise at all yesterday and I'm sure if I am up to it today or not but I thoguht I would try to do something even if its just 10 minutes on the treadmill Mostly though I am going to try to rest and catch up on some reading.

                      Good morning, all. When I started this program back in August, I knew I had to exercise but I have such little time, I decided then that I would wait until I lost 20 lbs and then I'd make time in my schedule to exercise hard core until the last 20 lbs came off. So....after reading all of these challenges and stories over the past 4 days...I have realized that is a cop out of me. I coach my youngest daughter's soccer team so every Tuesday, I have to chase 7-yr olds for an hour but...truly not enough.

                      So...starting tonight...I commit to walking either outside or on the treadmill for 30 minutes.
                      And...I've been cheat free for 11 days...(I somewhat went off the wagon 9/22 because I was seriously stalled).

                        Good morning all It's Thursday and the week is almost over and the scale is being nice today and said i am down to 187. So i am a happy camper.

                            Good to see everyone so positive, good morning to all! It's day 3 for re-induction for me. I'm getting back to portion control and being more concious of water intake. Now that my thyroid is back to normal and discovered another weightloss staller for me,lipitor. Which I stopped taking. I'm looking forward to getting on the losing streek once again. Wishing all of you a great day. I'll be weighing once weekly. So tuesday will be my weigh day.

                              Good Morning STAC'ers-

                              Hello to the new peeps that I am not familiar with- I am newer to and can vouch that this is a great place for support and encouragement.

                              Evermind- I am up a little to. I decided that peanut butter was not my friend and I can not eat it every day...

                              Last night I had a great induction meal. Baked Halibut, Petite Fillet Mignons, Asparagus, and spinach. My husband did an excellent job grilling the steaks and they were so tender they melted in the mouth....YUMMMM

                              I am inducting for a couple of days to help myself after the peanut butter blitz that started Sunday and went through Wednesday. I have an official weigh in on the 15th for the Shrinking for Christmas challenge.

                              I am also going to the gym tonight. I am sick of being sick!. I am going to give my self the gift of exercize to help myself feel better..... I will do an easy 10 minute elliptical warm up (unless I feel strong then I will do 30 minutes) and then I will strenght train my upper body, followed by 20 minutes of leisure lap swimming and a stint in the sauna.

                              It is '15 again this morning so the sauana sounds devine.
