    Here I am . I haven't really lost any weight since the weekend. Kind of a bummer. This time on Atkins the resistance is very high. A Laotian friend made me a desert yesterday. She said there was no sugar in it but it tasted kind of sweet to me. After I ate it she told me it was eggs, cream, acorn squash and coconut milk. So I am pleased that I only ate a tiny bit of it so as not to affend her. I will be extra good for the next couple of days to counteract the coconut milk. Most people do not know that carbs are found in everything. Just because they leave out processed sugar doesn't mean the food is carb free. Oh well she meant well and I am not going to obsess about it. The desert was very tasty. I am going to try to make a legit version of it using splenda. It was kind of a custard with chunks of squash in it rather than a puree.

    Got to run and make my salad for work.

      Hey, Linda - Just wanted to give you a heads up on the fact that acorn squash isn't legal until Rung 8. Lots of people are unaware that both acorn squash and butternut squash are considered Strachy Vegetables and are not legal until Rung 8. There are other squashes that are legal for Induction, but these 2 are starchy. Just didn't want you to sabatoge yourself without knowing.

        Good afternoon, late again...but here anyway.....have been drinking my water like i promised....still 1/2 pound from goal, haning in there though

          Hi everyone.. I am late again too...lol Its almost 2pm.. I had another busy morning went to water aerobics then I hit the grocery store..two stores actually. Grocery prices seemed way higher today..seems like everything has gone up..

          I had a small cheat this morning.. I had only 1 egg in the house..and I had Peanut Butter crackers before I went to aerobics.. I am NOT going to beat myself up over it.. I didn't have time to stop anywhere and eat.. The crackers are just 16 carbs for the whole pack.. I could have done worse.. My next meal was right on plan. I am all stocked up now with groceries...

            Hello,
            11:39 here in California....My hard just keeps on paying off. I have dropped yet another pound and my frequency between meals really help me from overeating. I eat routinely Mon-Fri 8am--> 11am--> 2pm--> 5--> if a snack...no later than 8pm..Four square mini meals and 1 hour of cardio 4 x's a week.

            I am on owl rung 1 and like keeping at this level because my weight loss is gradully dropping and I get less bummed out. I am alomost to my goal for the week. Yesssssss!

            Well Spirit I know you had a rough week before but hey when you plan your meals a day ahead..it makes all the difference...Proud of you my fellow ADBBer.Trust me I have been there.

              Good Afternoon! Late late late! Busy at work and no time to play out here!

              Weight stayed the same, day 11 today and feeling pretty good. I can't wait to hit day 14 and measure myself again! I'm going to go lurking on the boards as I'm sure the rungs are explained here somewhere. I have the book and it is in 5 phases, not rungs. I know that I can add in 5 grams next week, just not sure what yet or even if I want to.

              Ok - back to it for me. Everyone stay strong, you are doing terrific!

                I am late checking in but I am here. I am on day 4 and it seems like I should be in ketosis. Maybe because of the starting and stopping so much my body is just taking longer to kick in to gear. My menu's have been perfect so I know its not that. Hopefully by tomorrow.
