    Hi everyone. Just got back from the dentist. Only a cleaning this time. Next project is making an eye appointment. I will do that next week. While I was at the dentist I stopped by my doctor's office and got weighed. I have only lost 4 pounds so far this month. I can not imagine why I am losing so slowly this time around. I hope my new yoga DVDS arrive soon , maybe they will help me lose weight faster. Got to go make my lunch for work.

      Tracey - it may be the Atkins Breakfast Bar that is stalling you. I tried eating the bars when I re-started, and the damn things stalled me. I was bummed, because they can be convenient at times. But I couldn't deny the fact that I started losing again after I eliminated them. Now that I am in Pre-Maintenance, I have added a shake at about 7:00am every morning, and so far, so good. The shakes have less questionable ingredients in them than the bars... and the nutrition facts make sense on them... none of that funky math. Having said that, I have only lost 1 pound the last two weeks instead of my usual 2, so it might be the shakes. I'm still playing around with the experiment. I know that I will not be able to use the bars, though, until Maintenance (if at all - they can cause cravings for me). Everyone is different, and the bars might not be your problem - but I think that since they are a problem for many, it is worth giving them up for a couple of weeks and see what happens.

      Hello, Everyone

      Yes, shame on me for not checking in everyday! I do try to read the thread everyday, but I've just been skimming and not posting much lately. I've been neglecting chores around the house that need to be done, so I need to spend less time here. Boo!

      I'm wishing everyone an excellent Atkins day!

          Morning....er....afternoon, peeps....

          I have lost a pound a day for the past three days and I haven't done anything different...so this morning, I was irritated at only losing a half a pound. I KNOW a loss is a loss. I KNOW a pound isn't guaranteed. BUT...this was that nice transition pound moving from 160 to 159!! And I know my scale said 159.5 .... BUT STILL!!!

          Meanwhile....I ordered halloween costumes for my kids on the 10th. Two of the three have shipped. I emailed the 3rd for a status. "Oh, I'm sorry...we canceled your order because we're out of stock." WHUUUUUUT? You don't bother to TELL me and so now I have to scramble? My son wants to be Peyton Manning in the worst way!

          So...my morning progresses and I start feeling unwell. And those familiar tell-tale symptoms start surfacing. Yup.
          A freaking UTI has sprung up. How does this happen with the all the water I'm drinking a day - good lord. So, okay, now I can explain the half pound with the pending infection. But I'm still peeved. Worse, I'm peeved and in pain!! AND, since this is a frequent thing with me (thanks to my hysterectomy) - my antibiotics are waiting for me .... at home.

          Today, I think my blood pressure is through the roof. Don't worry...I'm not going to cheat. I dang well might smack the snot out of someone though.

            Thanks Mitzi! I'll take them out and see how it goes. I just figured with exercise etc, I was probably burning those carbs up! DOH! Of course I had one today already so I'll start tomorrow, I think I only have 2-3 left anyway. Need a good snack idea for pre-workout, I really bonk if I haven't eaten enough!

              Oh, Nomoretears, I went thru that LAST week. It's the yuckiest. SO uncomfortable, and SO utterly ANNOYING!

              I'm a frequent flyer on the UTI plane, too. <sigh>

              Well, hang in there. As for the costume..........well, I have no ideas. Never midn!

                Well - I finally got my pressure down. And, you know what did it? Reading the random posts here! It diverted my angst and calmed me down. Of course, that's after I found a new Peyton Manning costume on eBay and my hero of the day, Mike, is going to rush the shipment out!!

                *sigh* if it's not one freaking thing it's another.

                oh yeah...my big leopard gecko is shedding his skin again and the moron won't use the peat moss like he's supposed to so now he looks like ... unpleasant. And the dog ate cat poop today.

                I'm really thinking I should have stayed in bed! They're calling me Eeyore at work today, lol.

                    How fun to go to Cirque du Soleil tonight!!!! Have a blast!!!

                    I'm late checking in today. I took a SLEEP IN day today, woke up at 11:00am! GLORIOUS GLORIOUS! Then had to make phone calls and realized it was 12:30pm and hadn't eaten! Made lunch, checking the boards, gonna hit the treadmill, start on my writing assignment for class and then tonight working the box office at Second City. Me and my friend are gonna hit IN and OUT Burger for dinner before we go to theatre and I'm gonna get me a dbl dbl protein style! Finally out of the induction flu feeling better than ever and ready to add in my exercise! Hope everyone is having a great Thursday! I gotta go fill up my water bottle again!

                        Ooooh I love chicken lemon rice soup! Let me know how you make it I'd love to try it too. Sans the rice of course. Hmmm, I wonder how some grated cauliflower would taste in place of the rice? Yk like how it's use for the "faux fried rice"?

                              That stuff gives me the runs if I overdo it but I think it tastes alright. It's good if you can limit yourself to the half cup serving---which I can never do.
