  • How badly did I stuff up?!

    Ok - so I have been on this WOE for nearly 3 weeks and have been quite strict. However, the last few days I have had very distinct sugar cravings. It probably didn't help that my students were graduating which meant watching many celebrations involving lots of high carb foods. Today I couldn't take the cravings anymore and went and bought an Atkins bar. It was so delicious and satisfied the cravings I had without me wanting to go on a binge. I know that most people are very against these types of products, but I would appreciate some honest feedback on how much I have jeopardised my progress.

    I don't think that is the worst thing you could have done.. You could have binged on all the carby food.. Just don't make it a habit...It could stall you for a few days..

      I think you did fine, you could of done a heck of a lot worse!

      just dont be surprised if your weightloss stalls for a couple of days! thats what those bars do to the most of us!

        Thanks guys. I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist - if I don't do something 100% correct I end up going completely off the rails. Thanks for the reassurance.

          No biggie this time.

          But it would be good if you could figure out why you've been having the sugar cravings. That time of the month coming? Additional stress?

          If it's something predictable, you can prepare for next time by loading up on fatty foods or preparing legal sweet snacks.

            Yeah - I've only had 1 so far and it was only because I was starving (and it was at the very beginning of my choice to change my WOE) 2 day of no loss after that.

            Since then I have learned and planned better - taking a cooler with me almost all the time etc. Never leave home without a few cheese sticks!

            You know - after about 3 weeks I had a sugar craving and even a muffin craving. Turned out it was my TOM and I did endulge in making some low carb muffins and then froze them after I ate 1. Sugar craving I was able to handle with jello.
