    Boo hoo. I stumbled along the way and ate some stuff yesterday that I shouldn't have. I had a weak moment and caved. The holidays are the hardest I think. But I am getting back up today brushing myself off and heading out again.

      Hi everyone,
      I ate 2 bowls of sugar free ice cream last night... I'm thinking it has something to do with the out of control feelings I'm feeling about the loose Mastif dog the other day. I can't bring myself to get out there so I'm going to ride my stationary bike this morning. Then I've got to get ready to go to a Christmas lunch at a nice restaurant on Coronado Island with work people before I actually go to work.
      I went to the Chiropractor yesterday and my neck is feeling better... actually I feel better all over. yeah!
      just want to get through today without cheating/over eating legal foods... get my emotions re. the dog incident under control... anyways, onward.

        Good (late) morning everyone - checking in for accountability. I'm glad to report that I can already feel the physical benefits of this WOE - such a dramatic difference for me when I eat right.

        Took today off to finish holiday preparations and to atkins-shop at the grocery but the weather isn't cooperating yet - socked in with heavy fog - can barely see the hard road.

        Again, thanks for letting me chime in here - it helps.

          Happy Hump Day STAC'ers,

          I really appreciate reading all of your posts every morning. I know you guys are all ahead of me- but this is the first thing I do every morning after I get the family off.

          -8' this morning brrrrr.....

          Liz I don't have loose dog issues- I have moose issues in the winter and bear issues in the summer. For the dog thing I recomend a heavy duty walking stick. If I walk my dog there is a strong chance I will be charged by one of my nice neighbors dogs. Having a big stick is handy for scaring big or small dogs. You can also use a ski pole.

          I am getting a newish car today (2007 minivan slightly used). I am pretty excited about it. My old van is 10 years old. I also am getting my tattoo today (a little scared about that). So I have a busy day. I plan on taking my emergency food of jerky and water and I am making a crustless quiche this morning so hopefully I will not find myself starving and having nothing legal to eat.

          I understand about the size thing as well. I am still in an 18- but I think I was stretching the limits of the size 20 tops and the size 18/20 pants. I just bought a new pair of dress pants last weekend and I got a 18 with an adjustable waist band (I can make it a 16) also they have lycra so they stretch or shrink.... My old levis are 20's and they have lycra so when I put them on they feel snug but after wearing them for a little while they are super baggy. I did put on an even older pair of size 18 levis with lycra and they too strecth out and get baggy. My old size 18 dockers are baggy all over but the waist is still a little snug but they look redicules.... However it feels good to wear baggy pants- it makes me feel thinner and people see how baggy they are..... weird (I know).

            Hi everyone

            Nothing new to report, but I am in a better mood today. Didn't touch any of the cookies and candies brought in so I'm happy about that.

            The holidays are almost over everyone, we only have to stay away from the holiday cookies for a little longer then they will all be gone. Sure we are living a lifestyle but its not everyday someone gives us tons of free cookies.

              I am happy to report I survived our staff pot luck last night (I even made cupcakes and didn't have one taste). There was so much tempting food but I feel way better today about resisting than I would have if I caved (plus the scale moved down). Now that TOM is here I am hoping it will go down further. My losses feel so slow but it's better than going in the other direction.

                i am back on track after the weekend binge/cheat. feel SO much better and able to resist potluck at work. whew!

                off for a long walk this afternoon. is actually nice, close to 70 degrees and sunny, so want to get out there.
