Well, here we all are. It seems that a lot of us are struggling right now, either to resist the temptations that inevitably come our way during this season, or, having resisted the temptations, with the fact that the weight is not really coming off as we'd anticipated.
I'm in the latter category. Last night, for the first time, I had the thought: Well,if I'm eating right and not losing for 7 weeks, why the heck shouldn't I just eat what I want to and abandon this woe?
It was a fleeting thought, but I know that once it starts it will return into my head fairly regularly. I'm committed -but I also know that I'm in a risky area now. The scale read 205 this morning, which is 5 lbs up from my lowest in the last 7 mo., and there's no indication that I'm retaining water, reacting to a certain food, or anything. I'm just........here.
I'm guessing that a lot of us are having those fleeting thoughts. So here's the deal. I will say "NO" today, and ask that you guys say "NO", also. Just for today. We'll take tomorrow when it comes.
You with me?
