    Congrats on your new grandchild Heidi!! Kids are such a blessing!!! Glad to hear that your daughter had a wonderful delivery-it is so worth all that huffin and puffin when you see the wonderful face of your child!!!!

    I started again yesterday on my inductin this Xmas I went like a piggy and oink oinked my way all around the cookies and tamales and the buenlos!!! Then I took a look in the mirror and told myself!! Yvette you are only cheating yourself!! So here is to a new begining of eating the right stuff so that I can be a healthier person for me and my family! Gotta be around like Heidi to see my grandkids some day!!!!

      Hi everyone

      Glad to be back home. Didn't cheat over the holidays and found some corn syrup in my vanilla last Thursday, so now that I've taken that out I hope to see a whoosh on Monday (hard to weigh only once a week, but rewarding.)

        Morning, all!

        I did some looking at my menu yesterday and realized that I've not been eating enough. Not enough green veggies, though yellow and orange and white ones I have a-plenty. I dislike salad except every once in awhile, so I've always had a lot of broccolli and zuchini, but somehow, without noticing, I cut way back - no reason at all. So, today I'll buy some more and keep stocked. (looking back, I think the decline started when I discovered grated cauliflower as a rice substitute. Now, I LOVE rice or grated cauliflower with cheese and zuchini, so I'm doing the smack in the head "I coulda had a v-8" thing! What a ditz I am!)

        We are going to run this morning once my daughter wakes up, then later in the day go to the gym. I feel stiff these days, and it's the lack of exercise since the accident, I'm sure.

        I have all sorts of yummy, legal things to eat. Still not willing to go back to induction, but that's ok. I'm going to see what starting to work out again does to my body and the scale first.

        Oh, and I take a generic multivitamin without iron every day, plus fish oil, calcium, GABA, evening primrose, and I had to get TWO of those pill boxes for the days of the week (1 for day, 1 for bedtime) to keep track of all of it! But it works!

        Some other things I take as needed: Cinnamon, which helps regulate the blood sugar -I take it when I've been having sugar cravings. Dandelion root, which is good if you are retaining water. Red clover, which is good if you have sore muscles or an infection.

          Happy Thursday STAC'ers,

          Congrats on the new family member Heidi.

          Great job on the loss Colleenie.

          I am officially on my first day of induction- I got my book out and loaded up on vegis- I made turkey vegi soup yesterday and I had some for breaky.

          My sciatica has been flarred up since Christmas eve and I think I need to get back on track to calm it down. I will aim for a light work out with lots of stretching today.

            I have a horrendous hangover today and my whole household is avoiding me!!
            We had a fab couple of days away at the lakes, over Christmas eve and christmas day. Tomorrow I am intending going clothes shopping as my work pants are now in serious danger of falling down !!

              Hi everyone,

              I flew home today hence the late check in. My flight kept being delayed but I made it and am so happy to home with my legal foods and kitties! I am also down on the scale which is amazing considering I was travelling and surrounded by sugar at all times. I did really good minus a piece of cake. Oh well, I went right back on track the next day and my headache is finally starting to go away!
