    Good Morning Stacers!

    Today is the big day...New Years Eve! I hope everyone has great plans for the evening & the plans include Atkins friendly foods! Have fun & be safe.

    I personally am really looking forward to 2008!!

    Good Morning.. Well I am not on plan yet and my get back on track date is Wednesday. But I am taking a veggie tray tonight to my sils.. I am so missing my veggies..

    I am going to the grocery store today to stock up on some of my foods...

          GOOD MORNING STACers!
          Just keeping on, keeping on! Not changing a thing, moving forward. I am amazed to not be facing the new year WISHING I would loose weight and get control over myself. Im 18 mos into a change of life....
          Be safe, THINK BIG for this next year, roll up the sleeves and make it happen!!!

            You mean you are supposed to DO something on New Years Eve???

            I'm staying home and hanging out. We are planning to watch a movie tonight with the kids. My husband works tomorrow so doubt we'll stay up at all (can't remember the last time I did anyway - I think 2000)

            Maybe I'll make some hotwings tonight for dinner and some parmesean ones also. Don't know yet.

            I felt so much better after my HUGE plate of brocolli & cauliflower yesterday. And last night going through seed catalogs was making me hungry for more veggies!

            Have a safe night if you do have a life and get to do something

              I used to be a steady participant in the STAC forum, but have really neglected it lately. I have to carefully budget my computer time now, and let this forum fall to the wayside.

              One of my goals for 2008 is to start coming here, again. STAC is near and dear to me, because I have seen so many who are discouraged by that "one golden shot" theory... that if you were successful on Atkins once and then lose your way, that you will never have the same chance for success again, as you did the first time. My sentiments on this theory? BULL$HIT!

              I have done soooo much better, this time around. You get out of it, what you put into it. It doesn't matter if this is your second, or umpteenth time time of doing Atkins... as long as you make up your mind that THIS time is the real deal, it WILL be.

              Atkins works - as long as you work Atkins. Put your all into it, people! Trust the plan.

              I am so happy about starting 2008! Especially since I am part of this ADBB family now... I am so blessed to have found my way here, and am grateful to have you all in my life.

                This evening we'll be snacking and playing games watching Dick Clark (aka: the never gets older fellow) and trying not to fall asleep.

                  Happy New Year Everyone!

                  We're supposed to go to a big party tonight. I have to work today, so dh is home making mini crustless quiches to bring.

                  Coldwater Creek has 70% off now and I just bought a bunch of things. Some in my current size (XL) and some a little smaller (L) for summer. Hard to imagine wearing an L, but I'm trying to get used to the idea because it's gonna happen!!!

                    Morning all!

                    I have spin class this morning - yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I'm taking my 13 year old with me - should be exciting

                    Weighed in at 113.5 - I plan on going to bed tonight like I do every night - right after the kiddies go down - 'round 9pm -I can party like no other I tell ya haha

                      HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE!!!! Well today is day 6 of induction for me and i have been doing good. I have lost the cravings and the bloated feeling. Yesterday my hubby cooked me a great steak dinner for my bday. Tonight before we go to church for the New Years Eve service i think im going to make a spinach lasagna. I know im going to have to go in January to the doctor to get a checkup because of my thyroid, im suppose to go every 6mths because i have an enlarged thryoid and also hoshmitos diesease which basically means my immune system is attacking my thyroid so i know i can have some issues with weight loss if i dont get it under control. Well everyone i hope you all have a safe and happy New Years Eve cant wait to see you all in 2008

                        It sounds like everyone is doing great. Mitzi you look fabulous.
                        So happy to hear positive people and positive energy that feeds us all.
                        I lost 3 pounds so far. 6 more pounds to go till I'm where I was then continue on
                        till I get to 140 pounds.
                        I hope I don't look too old!!! The thiner I get the more wrinkles are in my face. ugh.
                        This is my 5th day. weight loss is slow compared to others but it's coming and
                        my goal for today is to go to the gym and get on that treadmill.
                        Wish I had the endurance to do a spin Class. They are very hard.
                        I have my bike tho and live in Florida near a bike trail so I could do that too.
                        Thanks so much for all your encouraging words to keep us all going.
                        Tonight I'm fixing hot wings and steam a fresh veggie and that's it.
                        Watch a movie and try to calm my dogs from fireworks going off. Lucy gets nuts!!!

                          Good morning, all!

                          Nothing planned for tonight - our new year begins in the fall, and this one counts, too, but frankly, I'm not a late-night person. So we'll reaffirm our commitments and be asleep by midnight, I'm sure! The kids are going out, and staying overnight because I don't want them driving that late.

                          I got on the scale this morning and it said 205. That is 5 up from my low several weeks ago. I'm not happy about it, but I feel better than I did a few days ago before I started working out again, so I'll keep that up.

                          I just keep wondering about this stall. I am not yet willing to redo induction, but I'm inching in that direction. It's just that absolutely nothing I am eating now had any impact when I started each food group and each particular food. I'm eating the same number of calories and I'm not eating many carbs, maybe 30. So why should I have to go BACK? Someone tell me!

                          Also, if anyone here has lost a ton of weight (Mitzi? Party?) and had a big stall in the middle, would you pm me about whether you had this experience of a 2-month "pause"?

                            Hi Everyone and happy new years eve! I am staying in tonight and am going to get some errands around the house done (and some cooking for the week). I also *need* to get some work done tomorrow before I go back to the office that I have been putting off for weeks. I always work better when it is last minute...lol.

                              I will be re-re-inducting tomorrow because I have fallen off the wagon!!

                              I am excited to be here and your stories help me know that I can get this weight off and change my life.
