      Hope - me too! The meeting for coffee part. I'm not very sore today, though I was yesterday. I wonder if it's water.....I will have to wait and see, I guess. The soreness from the accident is pretty much gone - it was in my hip, but is much, much better.

      It could be stress, but geeeeez......I do yoga and I run and I meditate, what else can I do? If it's the stress, it won't go away until June, alas and alack! Yikes!!! Well, c'est la vie.

      Mirya - overgrowth of yeast in the body can cause a stall, or prevent loss, or slow it. It's not as common (in my opinion) as people think, but it's always good to check occasionally. I've never had it.

        Oh, your hip... good, I'm glad it's better!

        I know!!! I try to manage my stress... and sometimes I think I am... then I get a migraine from heck to make me realize I'm not managing it at all!!! I'm going to start up doing yoga again though. There's a lady down the street from me that has classes at her house and also our gym which is very inconvienient as it turns out... although now that the holidays are past I'm hoping I can get there again. (!!!) and of course... theres my living room floor which works really really well!

        coffee would be great! ... I'll pm you my cell phone.

        I just have a feeling one of these days you're going to report major losses... seriously! I don't know why it hasn't happened yet. it's very puzzling... (scratching head)

          evermind, i wish i had the answer for you. i know you are going to figure this out, though. just hang in there and DO NOT go off plan!!! that was my biggest mistake.....i always ended up coming back to induction.

          i didn't realize you didn't eat much meat. in that case, can you eat more eggs/fish for protein? i wonder if the veggies are stalling you.

          ugh. we are behind you 100%.

            Evermind.. I just wanted to say Hang in there...and hopefully tweaking the little areas that everyone has suggested will work... I said about Coffee like you did about Dairy..its the ONLY thing I will NOT give up.. so if it causes me to stall then I will stay fat..lol

              Evermind, I've been asking around and one of my friends suggested you look into the hormonal end of things, if you are anywhere near the menopause spectrum, this could be a potential contributor.

                I am so with you Evermind on this. I too am in the same boat. I'm hoping if I add a little more water...it will kick things off for me. (been kinda bad there) I have been so down on myself, but I am not gonna give up. You have been such an inspiration to me on this board....so don't give up.

                  Good morning, all.

                  Jess - good question, and Jersey had asked me that. I recently had the blood test and I'm not close to or in menopoause. So THAT isn't it! (shoot - anyone else hoping to someday NOT have a period? lol)

                  hmf and everyone else (I already told this to Jess yesterday in a p.m.): Do NOT worry about me leaving here or going off plan. First of all, I love the food and it makes my body feel good. I've only cheated once in the three times I've done this woe, with 2 potato chips, and they made me feel like fried crap.

                  Second of all, I'm not even remotely tempted by the illegal foods. They just don't seem to interest me much. During the holidays I was tempted, for sure,because it was all around me at all times I was out of the house. But now that the season is over, it won't be, and I'm back to normal.

                  Thirdly, I know for SURE that if I start eating junk, I'll gain. Now, why would I eat junk that makes me feel lousy and gain, when I can eat good food that makes me feel good and stall or gain? <grin>

                  I'm less weepy today, but I sure do need and hope for your continuing support. I'm up 1/2 lb today. <sigh>

                      I have read this who thread and have become reall worried about you. If it were anyone else I might assumre there are hidden carbs. I have know you too long to know better. I would suggest maybe even say urge you to see a doctor. Weight gain with no reason is a cause for worry. Sorry hun that was my best answer

                        Breakfast: Flax seed cracker with cream cheese (cracker: 14 calories, 2.3 carbs .. cream cheese can vary so we'll assume 2 tbsp.. 70 calories, 0.5 carbs) 85 calories & 3 carbs

                        Snack: 1 slice roasted turkey, 5 olives (1 ounce turkey 45 calories, 0 carbs .. olives 35 calories, 2 carbs) 80 calories & 2 carbs

                        Lunch: 1 cup salad veggies (no carrots, onion or tomato) with blue cheese dressing, 4 eggs scrambled with 2 chopped mushrooms. (salad veggie count could vary based on veggie choice but lets say 60 calories, 6 carbs .. 2 tbsp bleu cheese dressing 160 calories, 1 carb .. eggs 310 calories, 2.2 carbs .. mushrooms 10 calories, 2.2 carbs) 540 calories & 11.5 carbs

                        Snack: 1/2 cup spaghetti squash with dash of olive oil, 1 packet splenda (squash 20 calories, 3.5 carbs .. splenda 0 calories, 1 carb .. oil 40 calories, 0 carbs) 60 calories & 4.5 carbs

                        Dinner: 1 cup salad veggies (same as above) and dressing. 1 tiny zuchini chopped, 1 tablespoon of minced onion, 1/2 cup of grated cauliflower, fried in olive oil, blended with 1/4 or less grated cheese. (again veggies can flucuate so we'll say 40 calories, 4 carbs .. dressing 140 calories, 1 carb .. cauliflower 25 calories, 5 carbs .. oil 40 calories, 0 carbs .. cheese 110 calories, 1 carb) 355 calories & 11 carbs

                        Before bed: choice of: sf jello with cream cheese; hot cocoa made with unsweetened dark chocolate and 1 packet splenda, dash of cream, 1 piece string cheese, 10 olives. (jello 10 calories, 0 carbs .. cream cheese 70 calories, 0.5 carbs .. cocoa 80 calories, 6 carbs .. splenda 0 calories, 1 carb .. cream 50 calories, 0 carbs .. string cheese 80 calories, 0.5 carbs .. olives 70 calories, 4 carbs) 360 calories & 12 carbs

                        Now, granted this could swing for less or more, depending upon the guesstimates I had to make, how accurate size portions are and the fact she makes a lot from scratch..

                        But I'm hoping I'm fairly close as this adds up to 1,480 calories for the day and she stated she aims to keep it around 1500. It also adds up to only about 45 carbs.

                        I would say like everyone else, get a food scale and measure like CRAZY. I found, even after using a food scale and measuring utensils for years for EVERYTHING, when I stopped using them my visual confirmation of what was 1 tbsp or 1/2 cup gradually increased over time to nearly double.

                        And if, need be, drop back a few carbs and see if it jump starts. Not neccessarily any particular food, but try replacing a few carbs with a few fatty options instead to keep the calories at 1500 but the carbs at 35-40?

                          Thanks. I went back to induction and though there was a gain in the first week, during the second week I have dropped one pound.

                          I measure EVERYTHING, which is easy since I cook everything myself.

                          I also started to make my spaghetti squash with butter, instead of just a dash of olive oil. It's actually better when it's all buttery.

                          So, we'll see!

                              Me too! Of course, I'd gained SIX pounds in about 5 days.......

                              But I'm back in patient mode. I'm doing cardio twice a day and also intensive weight training and I FEEL good, so right now I'm not as weepy over that blasted scale!

                                man, that's so frustrating....I nearly heaved Mr. Scale into the snow today....gained 2 # in the space of :10 minutes...Huh? So glad you're in a better spot.
