    Oh Sandy...I am feeling for you. You are doing so great staying on track with all of this going on. I will pray that your daughter is ok and that it is just a cyst. (Good for you for teaching her to look for those things so early!)

      Good morning. Well, I'm up another 1/2 lb today for absolutely no reason, but I'm not going to burst into tears like I did yesterday. At least, not right now.

      Some thoughts:

      * I don't know if anyone else has this experience, but try it. It turns out for me that I just can sit and enjoy the SMELL of forbidden foods. If my daughter bakes brownies, I sit in the living room and inhale, and that's good enough - no need to eat. Same with candy - my dh enjoys a hershey bar several times a week when he's reading in bed next to me, and I LOVE the smell. Ditto on french fries!

      * zuchini. Ah. I love both ways the two of you described. I also love to grate it, add some ginger and a touch of splenda (liquid or powder), mix in an egg, and fry it in patties. Top with a dab of sour cream, and it's heaven. Or, ditch the splenda and top with salsa. Also, if you chop it, and fry it until golden with a little onion and some grated cauliflower, then add in some grated cheese, you have a gooey, yummy lunch or dinner.

      hr - ah, croup. I remember the first time my oldest got it. The dog barking woke me up. Then I realized we didn't have a dog. Got to the urgent care in 10 min. Take care of him!

      Misplaced southerner - DUH! Of course you can join us! But you have to help keep our room here clean. I nominate you to vacuum once a month. <grin> ! Why are you having a sonogram?

      Alaska - I sure hope they figure out why you're in pain. I know the feeling and how it wrecks your day. In the meantime, know that losing weight always, always helps a back problem, slipped disk or swollen disk or not. So stick to the woe, girl!

      Sandy - I had a lump at your daughter's age. It was a swollen milk duct. I'm sure she's fine, and what a great thing that she's already checking herself!

      Stick with it, everyone. I am, despite my stall/gain problem. Another tough workout tonight at the gym with our trainer.

        Okay ladies and gents my two weeks will be up on Wed so I am posting my pics from when I started until yesterday since I joined the 2008 new me challenge so here I am

        Thanks to everyone on this wonderful site that no matter if I have failed before has always been my biggest cheerleaders!! You Guys Rock!! WHOOP WHOOP TO ME!!!

          Hello
          I'm here. Day 3 of Induction and I feel really good guys. Not surprising, but is surprising. Just to give you an idea of me before:
          lots of heartburn, tired all the time, no energy, always hungry, insomniac.
          No heartburn so far AT ALL
          Not tired, believe it or not I am pretty wide awake!
          I don't feel like sitting all the time
          Not hungry unless I feel hungry
          Sleeping as hard as a log, long hybernating sleep too, nothing is getting me up!

          Oh, boatloads of energy has made getting up and getting moving so nice. I just had to return my bike, but have ridden it for days now. Let me tell you, we started on this trail and it is 1.5 miles long. The first day I couldn't make it without stopping every 20 feet or so in 1st gear. A week or so later and I can do the whole thing in one go at gear 3! Next week I am doing the trail 2x and then some!

            Kids are back in SCHOOL YIIPPPPEEEEE!

            I can pull out the rebounder today without them wanting a turn to jump.

            Plan on doing weights at 2pm and drinking a truckload of water.

            My stick is sooooooooooo PURPLE! I want to take advantage of the fast burn!

            Not part of the squat challenge, but I'll throw in some tooshie tightening while I'm at it!

              Evermind - I love the smell of illegal foods. I bake ALL THE TIME - just so I can smell the yummy goodness I'm never tempted to cheat, the smell seems to really help with any cravings I may have.

                Goodmorning! Went to the gym, did a 36 minute workout, 2.5 miles completed! I feel amazing. =) Nothing can stop me now!

                        My Daughter Update.. The pediatrician is 99.9% sure its a Fibroid or a cyst... but because she is a new one in the office..I wanted more testing.. So Wednesday after school we go to a Surgeon that does Diagnostic stuff... I don't want to take a chance.. I know the stuff runs in 3 of her Aunts and her grandmother..and now at the grocery store I found out her cousin too...on my husbands side of the family.. So I am pretty sure it is but want to be 100% sure..

                              Today is my 6th day and I am starting to get some new energy. Went back to work today. Nothing likw a welcoming crowd of screaming babies to get your day going. I had plans to take my son to the park and do some walking after work, in the end I gave up and came home now I feel guilty. Planning on walking tomorrow on my lunch hour if it isnt to cold outside. Have a great week everyone.

                                Hi Everyone,

                                I'm checking in after being away... out of guilt! ... for two weeks. I was so sure that I would be able to manage my WOE while we did our kitchen renovation. Not!! I've been able to stock a few things in the fridge, but because we don't have a stove, I can't cook my meat. Microwave meat??? Yuck! Anyway, I've been lucky because I've only gained 2 pounds. That's probably due to all the exercise I've been getting (laying oak flooring, laying tile flooring [I'm the tiler in the family ], pulling down plaster/lathe, hanging drywall, hauling everything to the dump [i.e., pulling, lifting, carrying... up and down stairs, into and out of the truck... a real workout!]).

                                Anyway, I'm back on the board. Before my two-week break I joined the 2008 Challenge (starts today)... I really wanted to participate so made a point of logging in today. So here I am.

                                I'll check in tomorrow... and the next day... and the day after that!
