  • Monday Roll Call 1/21/08!

    What are you all still being lazy and not getting up?? COME ON PEOPLE!!!

    Ok - did my exercises and feeling pretty good. Reving myself up to go outside - it just LOOKS cold and I know it is (16 degrees right now)

    WHEW.... ok - faster I get outside and do the work faster I come in here and get a cup of coffee.....

    Oh - still at 150 - which is fine with me I SEE THE LIGHT!!!!! (140's)

    140 was my lowest weight last time I was on Atkin's plan....

    This is how my morning starts, I sit with coffee and puppy sitting, training her to do her business on her pad....here she is distracted and happily sitting in my lap instead of doing her business!!!!!

      Funny picture Jess.. We never did the pad training..we crate trained and it worked perfectly

        Oh she is crate trained too, she sleeps there and then is put right on the pad, and she often promptly walks right off the pad....

          Good morning everyone!

          (cute puppy jess)

          Today starts my "back to basics" plan. I'm considering it a restart - even though technically I never went off...

          But I'm going to do a "perfect" 2 week induction. Nothing but water and stuff from the master list then I'll try moving on to owl - something I've never done - any of the three times I've done Atkins.

          I'm also going to stop weighing myself everyday... I'm going to weigh at the end of the 2 weeks, and then once a wek after that. I think that'll make me stop flipping out so much...

            Well I am here.. Not on plan.. Had a really scary day yesterday.. My daughter and her boyfriend were in a car accident on the way home from church.. I was behind them (like one curve) but didn't see the accident.. They hit black ice and ran off the road and flipped 3 times into a field. Actually where they were in the field I was passing a VDOT truck spreading sand...and was paying attention to him and was further down the road...when the kids called..

            My daughter is doing okay..her neck area is really sore...and she has a little bruise on her arm.. her boyfriend has Muscle Spasms in his back.. We had them checked out in the hospital.. The walked right out of the front of the window...

            Will try to show a picture of the car when Photobucket is working right...

              Holy cow, Sandy! Car accidents scare the living crap out of me... thank God the kids are allright.

              Cute puppy, Jess. I think that I can safely say that I never want another puppy again. I currently have a 5 month old lab, and an 11 month old lab, and I am so sick of dealing with them - it's a full time job! Especially when they are so big, that they can do damage to the house, just from being in a good mood.

              Plsmachic, I think that you are on the right track now. Clean Induction and proper progression up the rungs is a key to success. Good luck!

                  Good morning everyone.

                  How scary Sandy. You must have been a wreck. What a relief to know they're okay.

                  Very cute puppy Jess. Makes me want to get one...

                  I was pretty bad yesterday. If you know me, you can guess what it was. A bottle of Merlot and smoked almonds. Not the whole bottle. I bought the wine to go in the beef stroganoff tonight, but thought I'd have a sip last night. Well, I had more than a sip. And I knew when I bought the almonds that it was a bad idea, but I'd been so good about them for weeks.

                  Oh well. I'll be better today.

                    Good luck with the puppy Jess (although I must say I love being a cat person, no training ).

                    plasmachic good luck with eating clean. I went on KISS a week ago and feel a lot better, I think I was eating something that didn't agree with me.

                    I'm glad to hear everyone is alright Sandy. My brother's girlfriend ran off the road about a year ago and I remember how scary it was to hear about someone you love being in an accident.

                    You are crazy mitzimarie, 2 puppies!! I had two kittens at once and I thought they where going to destroy everything. I can't imagine two puppies that size playing together.

                    Everything is great for me, went shopping over the weekend for a bunch of size 12 pants. Eating really good, and back on the treadmill very regular. TOM will come any day now and I can't wait to weigh myself when its over. I feel like I'm shrinking again.

                      Good morning, all. Actually getting ready to brave the cold. Crazy, I know. But we've been putting it off for a couple of days and really can't do it any longer. We need stuff!

                      Jess, what a cutie pie! I want a dog, but I live with a bunch of cat people! (I love cats, too.)

                        It's today! I was so busy drinking wine and eating nuts last night that I didn't make my keylime cheesecake. I'll have to hurry home after work to make it. Of course, after last night, I probably shouldn't even have any of it!

                          Good morning. I confess to eating cookies and chips yesterday. I don't feel horrible this morning. I am back on plan and ready to move on from it. I am really starting to get a lot of comments on my weight loss. It feels good when my mom is saying things like all you need to do is maintain this weight. Officially i am overweight and my body fat percentages are still too high, but i know i am starting to look 'normal' and that feels good.

                          Sandy-glad to hear the kids are ok. Scary stuff for sure. Get your butt on plan. You will feel better.
                          Sheepie-i know how the wine is a sneeky lil thing. Just keep going forward from here.

                            Sandy I am so happy to hear everyone is ok! Wow that's really scary. I lost control of my car on a highway offramp last summer in the rain and it made me a completely different driver after (i've only had a license for 3 years)...I have a completely different respect for wet and snowy driving conditions now. I didn't flip (it's a Jeep wrangler so that's actually amazing), but it was scary enough to leave me shaken for quite some time.


                            Jess, judging from that picture it looks like you are literally 'dog sitting'!!! Have you tried taking puppy outside to do his/her business rather than trying the training pad when you bring him out of the crate?

                            I've been really good, i did have a couple of ww crackers Sat night, and I'm still having my high fibre toast in the morning, so far no issues. TOM finally came, though not soon enough for my liking! so i'm hoping i can weigh later this week.

                            I was going to buy an eliptical, but came accross a cheaper treadmill that has really good reviews at Sears, so going to go out and check it out at lunchtime.

                            My biggest reservation is that it's $200 cheaper in the US than it is here, so i'm going to complain when I get to the store. I'm going to see if it may be worthwhile taking a trip over the border and paying the duty for it.

                              All's well here, just cold! I did manage to ride my new bike yesterday for about 10 mins, but now my rear hurts (broke my tailbone about 5 yrs ago and it still bothers me at times). Have to find some kind of seatpad to use! Ate ok yesterday, just still not very hungry. Making Whooshie Pie for supper...made it last week and DH loved it! LOL, they had gr beef on sale so he can have it again tonight. Kids didn't like it so I guess they can have something convenient they like....

                              LOL, MitziMarie-2 lab pups??? Better you than me! We just got the kids a part yellow lab/part ? pup for Christmas and she is more than enough for me! Shiloh @ 4 mos.

                              My sis works for a lab rescue and usually has her own 3 and a foster all the time, but her 3 are grown and well behaved....Keep you chin up-labs are the most loyal, sweet dogs-they just have a lot of energy for a long time. I'm personally looking forward to warmer weather so me and Shiloh can go for long walks!

                              Well, I guess I'm off to see if this kooshie beady like pillow helps my hiney on the bike. I rode 10 mins yesterday, but if I can't get it up to 15 in the next few days, I guess I'll just use the treadmill longer than the bike. I'm all new to this exercise equipment experience...I always have just walked for exercise, but the older I get the more the cold bothers me, so I'm trying to get more indoor exercise. I guess if need be, I will find a VCR to use my WATP tapes or buy/rent new DVDs
