  • Breakfast?

    The first time I did Atkins, I ate frozen sausage and a frozen egg patty topped with a slice of cheese almost everyday for bfast. This time the stuff is SOOO greasy I can't really stand it. Any ideas for a fast bfast???

    How about leftovers from the night before. A hard boiled egg or omelette with some veggies.

      Man, that gives me heartburn just reading it.

      Look in the recipes section for 'egg muffins' those are one of my favorites, I also make a breakfast quiche with bacon/eggs/mushrooms that I really like.

      If I'm in a hurry, a quick trader joe's chicken sausage(no sugar) will do.1

        You can eat anything off of the acceptable foods list for induction! Don't just think BREAKFAST FOOD for breakfast. Eat veggies, eat cheese, eat whatever is legal.

          I eat chicken salad everyday with celery for breakfast. It's a great balance of fat and protein and veggies.

            I enjoy "pancakes" and bacon for breakfast. You can find the recipe on linda's low carb site: http://genaw.com/lowcarb/recipes.html under breads. Her site is awesome if you need an idea for food stuffs

              I usually have bacon & eggs, but if I am in a hurry or need a change, I'll take a sausage & spinach crustless quiche out of the freezer and pop that in the microwave ~ I got the recipe on this board somewhere & they are very tasty! (they have spinach, eggs, cream cheese, parmesan & spicy Italian sausage YUM)

                i usually have an omelette with cheese and canadian bacon. but i also LOVE eggs and eat them scrambled, sunny side up with some sausage to dip in the yolk, or hard boiled.

                i also like a scoop of tuna salad for breakfast.
