    Wow! It's been a long time since I've started roll call!

    I'm ready to go and get moving today! It's all about exercise for me. This time around, food seems to be okay. It's making sure I'm up and about, burning fat. I'm ready to walk this afternoon.

    GOOD MORNING...Exercise is something I am going to really start to focus on....and eating more structured. I've not been doing great there....Maintaining and paying attention and working out the structure of the day has really been going down hill. I know I can do this, I'm not too far from it!

    I hope everybody is doing well....I've been slammed with work, and pop in often, and I am happy that so many people here reach out for each other and help each other....Big SHOUT OUT, THANKS!!! Thanks for making STAC a great place to be!

      Good morning everyone. Should be another warmer day. I'm really thinking a lot about Spring now. In my head, I'm planning my low carb garden! Peppers, eggplant, zucchini, cauliflower, etc. I'm ready!

      Jess, sometimes this woe sounds so easy for you, so I really appreciate it when you admit that there are times when you struggle with it too. I know you'll win, but knowing that sometimes it's a bit of a struggle for you and knowing that you can do it, makes it seem a little easier here too. ykwim?

        Going to be another stressfull week for me this week, I have 240 portfolios of work to mark and an assignment of my own due in this time next week.
        So ive prepared and bought an extra large bg of peanuts for snacking and have a supply of various meats in my freezer, all portioned up. ready to be cooked.
        The 'New Year, New You' challenge is keeping me on track.

          Bambina - wow! 240? Since I teach special ed, we ahve portfolios we must put together for yearlong performance assessment. The most I've ever put together is 6. Jeez - hand in there!

            I can not WAIT until spring!!! I'm gonna buy a grill and a patio set and live ouotside

            I made AWESOME dinner last night.

            I took pictures and I'll be posting the recipe later today.
            But, it was a Lamb/Ground beef, curry, cayenne pepper and cauliflower medley with a bunch of other stuff in there.

            It rocked.

              Morning, all!

              Pls - you're doing GREAT cooking and avoiding pre-packaged stuff! Nice going!

              Yesterday, dd and I had a great, and very looooong workout. I noticed a bunch of stuff: 1) My legs are MUCH stronger all of a sudden, and leaner. 2) My abs are MUCH stronger and flatter all of a sudden,and I no longer am in agony doing ab work - lower back has strengthened, which is great.

              This morning, when the alarm went off, dh rolled over, took me in his arms, wrapped his arm around my waist, and said "morning, skinny". Does that make my day? You betcha!

              Today is my veeeery long day. Teach all day,t hen class until 8:15. I've already prepared somethign to eat when I stop at home before driving to the U, so I won't have to wait for that. I've got multiple small baggies of things to carry around all day to nosh on. And I know this can be done.

              If only this stupid weather would cease! Stop raining, dry out, and warm up! Gosh, I'm tired of wearing multiple layers plus a jacket in my own classroom! Ick! That damp cold gets right into my BONES.

              It's going to be a good day, no matter what the sky looks like.

                Boy...am I tired today. We are in the midst of a huge blizzard and I was waken up at 4:30 am because the power went out (when this happens my smoke detectors start beeping which wakes me up). After about 20 minutes it came back on so I reset my alarm and tried to go back to sleep. Then it went off again. It has been on since but I never really got back to sleep. To top it off we have a very important Board meeting at work today and every one is snowed out and they can't fly in. Sigh.

                  I'm here...and I've been busy! I got frustrated trying to use my freecycled exercise stuff and went shopping yesterday!



                  As you can see, I got it put together AND read the first 55 pages of DANDR again before I got too tired last night. My other DANDR disappeared and the one I ordered online has never showed up-MIA for 9 days now, was supposed to be delivered the 18th, so I stopped at Barnes/Nobles on my way home from Sears. Going to get on and ride for at least 30 mins as soon as I get my little one fed and occupied. Doing much better with my food and water since I kicked the Dt Dew habit! Little shy (1/3 c.) on veggies yesterday, but otherwise doing good. My blood sugars have finally started staying down at a good level now, beginning about Fri/Sat. All in all, I'm pleased!

                  Looks like I'm a little late for any challenge, so if its ok with you all, I want to be obligated to someone, somewhere to kick me in the butt if I don't exercise at least 30 mins 5 days a week...so I will post it here in daily at least until the next 6 WEC. Is that ok or should I do that in the journals or something? Well, time for breakfast! Have a great day! Bottoms up!

                    Good morning all! I'm really getting the hang of these boards now. I felt like I spent my entire evening cooking for everyone in my home. Kids ate something different than my husband and I. Last night, I ate something different than him so I cooked three different meals. Whew! We discovered a great wrap - steakums on a low carb tortilla with cheese. They are wonderful. You have to drain the grease; otherwise, you'll wear it. Today is an exercise day so I'm off to the YMCA after work to walk at least an hour on the tread mill. I'll do a little more work when I get home. The size 12 pants I have on today are loose! Woohoo! We can wear jeans on Fridays so for the next month, I'll be wearing the same jeans each Friday. At the end of the four weeks, I hope they are too big.

                        Hi everyone! I am so slow moving this morning it's unbelievable. I think it's because I have been so busy and feeling rushed that I want to just SLOW DOWN! But I need to get out and take care of everyone outside.

                        We picked up the beef yesterday that we had processed for retail (in otherwords it's not just for me, it's to sell) and some of it just looks so yummy!! I also got our snack sticks which is great. They aren't the best thing in the world but at about a carb a piece & they don't cause me to crave other stuff they are awesome to have here (and once again I need to remind myself that they are for resale!). They messed up and didn't save enough for jerky which stinks.... but I'll have it done next time.

                        Scale said 150 this morning... but that's fine. I sat in the car all day yesterday so didn't expect much movement at all and I can deal with 1lb. I think my scale is wacky as it is so I take it with a grain of salt.

                        My biggest news - I need a NEW BELT!! That's right - the size I have (large) is too big now and doesn't really hold up the pants and I have 1 notch left and it just doesn't pull that tight - I don't think this type of belt was ever made to go this far!! WOO HOO!!

                          Good Morning Everyone ........... Just checking in and wanted to say how good it is to have you all here to check in with! Even when life is overwhelming and stressful things here are upbeat and encouraging nd thats just what I need some days! Thank-you to all of you!!!!!

                          Today is another day spent at home with a houseful of sick kiddos ....... we have sore throats coughs pink eye and stuffy noses ........ We need a break but with 10 of us in one house we just keep passing it around ....... I am washing bedding and wiping door handles with antibacterial spray all day long! Somethings gotta give soon!

                          OK enough of my whining ...........

                            Morning all!

                            Today is a better day than yesterday (thank God!) Nicholas (my 2 year old) seems better this morning and ate all of his oatmeal - good boy! Let's keep our fingers crossed that the little boogar can keep it down
                            Weighed in at 112 this morn. I'm really happy with that. I feel lean and strong today. Woke up at 4:45am to hit the gym at 5. Ran for 2 miles, hopped on the elliptical for 2 miles and worked on upper body. Tonight is Yoga class. I'm hoping to get in a little cardio before class.
                            Camden has his 4 year check-up today - I'm hoping there won't be any shots - never a fun time. Other than that - just hanging with the homies, eating clean and dreaming of Spring, Summer - HEAT!

                              Hey ya'll, how you?

                              Woke up to weird nightmares this morning, so I got up a little earlier and made the usual breakfast; eggs and cheese omelette. Got some chicken and salad for lunch, and plan on drinking lots and lots of water. Gonna be a looooong day at work, I can tell. I have nothing to do, and the worst part is that I have no inspiration to draw. I'm trying so hard to come up with something but I'm stumped.
