    Re: Note from Sherry

Southerner, Rachel, Pinkwoman, Create, APanthesilia and Dream, thanks for your kind words and support. You have no idea how much it means to me.

I am in DAY 1 of induction and have been doing great for my first two meals. Partly because I was just on a 2hour long con call, ugh. No time to snack on the bad stuff.

I believe in the beginning it is all mental and I can overcome my appitite for bad foods. I am definitely committed. I have to be. I am not going through another unhappy summer.

I will log in daily and record my meals and exercise in my journal down in Journal Chats.

    Talk to you all soon!

I too have been here and in this very orbit! It's like an orbit you are trying to pull free of....It's very difficult. I found tremendous relief once I jumped in somewhere....having walked away for 3 yrs, I finally came to the depressing end of things! I forced myself on the stationary bike for 15 mins and committed to 1 bottle of water, and that was the beginning of it all! By noon that day I had been to Sam's and was on my way to eating low carb. I found exercise was a easier more manageable door to enter back in through.

Sheri you can do this even tho everything is telling you you cant...Just don't give up!

Hi Sherry. How are you doing today? Have you done anything special for yourself? Have you made some plans on what you'll eat, what exercises you'll do to start creating changes? Its very important to develop actions now so you don't look back...the changes will keep you focused. I highly recommend exercise cause everytime I exercise I feel the pride of accomplishment and it gives me a 'high feeling' to succeed!

Hello! Day #2 of induction has begun. I passed the "candy dish" at work yesterday many times without digging into it. It would be 5 seconds of "tasteful ecstasy" but then leave me with a day full of upsetting regret.

So on to good news. My journal in journal chats has my food intake, but I can briefly state my day yesterday...

              My meals yesterday were:

AM - 4 lil sausage patties, 2 slices brick mozz chz, coffee, water

Lunch - Ground round beef with stir fried veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, onions, green and red peppers)

After work - Caeser salad (Romaine and Iceberg mix) with Caeser dressing and parm chz.

After bowling last night - Ground round with shredd mozz chz, 2 eggs (over hard)

So far today - 3 eggs (over hard) with slice of american cheese, coffee, water, with a side of heartburn (ugh)

I did EXCELLENT with my water intake yesterday. I was even proud of me.

Now on to the routine of exercise. My first 'excuse' will be that since my sister had major back surgery the first week of January, I've been pretty much having my 2-year-old niece at my house all the time, in addition to my 1-year-old, my 7-year-old, and my 12-year-old.

I will find the time...yes, it will be hard for me, I am lazy when it comes to going to the gym until I get in a routine, then it's a piece of cake.

              I went bowling last night, that's exercise! Oh yeah I bowled, 195, 238, 222

              Talk to you all soon!

                  Re: Note from Sherry

Hi all - Day 3 of induction is over (regarding food intake), here's what I ate.

AM - Sausage Links, 2 eggs w/ amer chz, coffee, water

LUNCH - 2 slices Muenster chz, 6 TGIF Buffalo wings, 1/2 cucumber, 1 tsp ranch

DINNER - Side caeser salad, 1 Gorton's grilled fish fillet (didn't really like it ), shredded mozz chz melted on plate until it gets crispy

I will admit, today was hard, I did drink 2 Diet Cokes , and probably not as much water as I should have (but I did drink water)

                  Tomorrow is a new day...
                  Talk to you all then...
