I tried the Atkins diet last year, and came down with a bad case of gout. But the gout is finally gone, and the low calorie lifestyle just isn't working for me, so I am back. This time around, I will avoid the LC shakes because I think those contributed to the gout. Wish me luck!

Hey Justwanna, glad to have you around. There is a whole slew of forums with medical angles to them, you might find some of the common things to avoid so as not to trigger off gout again....Good that you are aware of what does not work for your body. It's such a key!74 8/1/06

Thanks, ya'll, for your support! Thus far I am three days into it w/ no gout. I really think the shakes did me in last time. Now, I don't eat anything unless I cook it/put it together myself.Just wanna lose a few lbs
