  • What's for dinner?

This morning I made stuff for tacos for the fam (taco salad for me) but just found out my brother is going to join us and I think we'll be short. If I don't have a plan soon the guys will just want to order pizza

Maybe I'll just let them eat pizza and I'll stick with taco salad... test my will power

You need stretchers! Taco rice on the side? Stretch their meat with refried beans stirred in?

Time to make a dessert?? Everyone will "save room for dessert".

The family is having chef boy R dee pizza.. I am having WINGS! MMMMM

Do you fry your wings or bake? I was gonna make them next week and can't decide which I should try first.

        Re: What's for dinner?

I have done both! Baking is less mess and less watching. I can put them on and do something else in the meantime. Frying makes them all crispy crunchy! I do flip my baked ones. I bake them plain and then roll them in either frank's hot sauce/butter or wing sauce I found at the grocery store that is very, very low carb. it's store brand at that! MMM so good.

                          Mmm, me too!

Tonight will be one of the following:

**Chipotle chicken tenders (make a dry rub out of chipotle powder, black pepper, and garlic salt; fry in olive oil or chili pepper oil)

**Taco salad (ground beef seasoned on lettuce with homemade salsa and guacamole)

**Fajita guts (I just made that name up! Sauteed steak strips with peppers and onions, served with cheese and salsa and guacamole! Geoff can have corn tortillas or chips if he really wants them.)

I'm grilling salmon and making fauxtatoes ( celery root ) a dinner even my 9 yo loves. Maybe I'll add another veggie, some cooked spinach?

                            That's the plan.
