    Morning, all!

    Yesterday was a dramatic and traumatic day. For my dd. She's a senior in HS and has an old truck that was supposed to last until August, when she goes to Arizona for college. Well, yesterday it died. DIED. Terminal. No can repair. Oy vey. Her dad and I are trying to figure out a reasonable solution.....but in the meantime, she's devastated.

    In the midst of all this, she and I went to our appt with our personal trainer. We've been doing the same legs workout for 6 weeks, and it's long-since time that we switched. So, she put us through a new one. WOW. YIKES! It is tough, tough, tough. The only thing I can recall that is as tough is the one we did for the last 6 weeks - but after 2 weeks, it got very doable. And it caused me to lose 4 inches in each thigh or something like that.......

    Today I'm staying after school to teach an extended day reading session to mostly my students. Just for an hour, but I packed an extra snack because, knowing me, by the time we get home, I'll be ravenous without one. I took a look at my fitday for the last month last night, and I'm eating mostly veggies. With fat. I haven't had meat in a month for some reason. My protein is coming from eggs, a bit of cheese, and veggies. This is something Atkins said would happen eventually, and he was right. I read somewhere on this board a long time ago that the people who have had the most long-term success losing and maintaining eat just a ton of veggies. In maintenence, after moving up all of the rungs of OWL, they still weren't eating many grains or starchy things. Who knew there were so many non-starchy vegetables to enjoy?

    Life is good. Let's go make it so for someone else.

    hi evermind...sorry about dd's car issues. that sure can be a headache...been there, done that. it will all work out ok in the end i am sure. it always does. i would REALLY be interested in seeing your daily menu. would you mind sending me a PM?

    well, i have a looooooong day today. work from 7-2 but my kids have a performance and i have to be at school at 5:30 so like evermind, i need to pack an after school snack! snap peas and dill dip! it will be after 7 when i get home...ugh. had fun celebrating ernie's b-day last night.....good thing he loves steak!

      Good morning all. I can sympathize about the truck issue. It's never a good time to deal with stuff like that. I haven't been on the boards since last Thursday. I had a great trip to Beaufort, SC. Very relaxing. I didn't eat terrible but I did stray a bit. I also have a few Mich Ultra's. I also decided not to weigh until Sunday so that if I did gain, I can lose it by then and not be upset. I'm stepping up the exercise now. I walked twice yesterday and ate perfectly. I was happily surprised this morning when I tried on a pair of pants (8P) and could wear them. So, I decided to wear them to work. Still a little snug in the waist but I could button them without sucking in. This was a huge thing for me. I've been trying on these pants once a week for about 6 weeks now.

      Anyway, I hope everyone has a great day! We have rain in Atlanta - AGAIN! The temp is supposed to drop to 29 tonight. I'm am sooooooo ready for Spring.

        Hey all!

        That's too bad about the truck! That happened to me when I was in college, but things worked out. I hope you and your DH can find a reasonable solution.

        Today is a rest day, thankfully, I'm looking forward to going home and vegging out! OK, well not totally, as I plan on doing some yoga when I get home from work, but no sweating and no strenuous anything tonight!

          I'm up another pound this morning. It can't be TOM just yet and this has been going on for quite awhile. I'm at my wits end....I'm not losing inches, I'm gaining weight, but my ketosticks are pink??? I actually caved and ate a cupcake and two cookies this morning. Its probably going to knock me out of ketosis and add on to my misery and depression. I KNOW there will be a gain on the scale tomorrow. I'm so disappointed in myself. I'm pushing water and thinking about running two miles on the treadmill although I've already done an hour of Plyometrics today. I hauled my butt back on the atkin's wagon and will be having chicken salad for dinner. Any quick carb binge recovery tips for me?? As for my day, I have to patch a hole in the wall from one of the kids throwing a toy and missing the toy box during clean-up before bed yesterday, do laundry, get on top of the housework. The boys' dad has visitation in about an hour when my oldest son gets home from pre-k. Oodles of fun. I wonder if all this stress is making me gain weight?

            Morning everyone!

            Kidlets woke up around 5:30am - super start to my day

            Weighed in at 114.5 - so only 2.5lbs up from low - we're getting there, I'm happy

            Have playgroup today at Chuck E Cheese. It snowed last night, so indoors is the only way to go. Should be fun (as long as I bring my hand sanitizer )

            After lunch, Hubby and I have a meeting at my son Sebastian's (13) school with his councelor and all of his teachers. His grades are seriously sucking wind and I can't take his jive anymore. He hangs with the skateboard punks - a serious bunch of douchebags. That sounds kinda cruel and ok, it is. In High School, I hung with the same crowd, only since I was in CA, I hung with the surfers, same jist, no difference. His main concern is how cool he is. Since I've been there, I find it totally frustrating and know what it can lead to. He's a great kid, funny, smart, outgoing etc... He just needs to pull his head out of his hiney Wish me luck that I come back with all of my hair and I don't pull it all out...

            Running and yoga tonight - will be a good release of some stress!

                Mornin folks.

                Went to my MMA(mixed martial arts) class last night, and I'm proud to say I didn't puke during the 3 hour ordeal... I have to say I came close It was hard going back after almost half a year, everyone there has gotten a lot better, and I haven't. I spent most of the night getting hit in new and exciting ways, but I loved every minute of it!

                  Hi Everyone

                  My first crockpot was a success. I made meatballs and they were lovely. The only thing is that you can smell them all day when they're cooking but it was worth it! I made five portions so have stuck a couple in the freezer too which is handy.

                  It's my end of first week weigh in tomorrow!! How exciting!!

                    Oh Colleen! Been there! LOOKING the part is of utmost importance. My son went that route too. It blew over. But good for you in keeping a check on things. You just never know.

                    I'm good today. Need to push the water faster. Usually by this point I'm halfway done. Slow day at work so I been up and about doing housework. Got my chicken defrosting.. gonna bake it! The weather turned cool so a hot meal will be good. Now.. my delima is what veggie to go with it? LOL I'm thinking wax beans. or green beans.. either way it's gonna be scrumptious!

                      Hi All!!!!

                      I had a great morning!!!!! Had eggs this morning and made burgers with cheese (no bun) for my lunch this morning! It felt so great to wake up and prepare it!!! Tonight my boyfriend and I are trying a whooshie pie for dinner! I am excited!!! First time making it!!!! I weight in after my first week of induction tomorrow!!! Cannot wait!!

                        G'Morning! Orange tea with cream this morning... getting ready for quilting in the hood... with my homies... and then work after that.

                        Bummer about the truck. My kids have fond memories of the old beater they used to drive... but are happier now with their new wheels... it'll work out Evermind.

                        TOM came for a visit yesterday.

                        I walked for about 2 hours yesterday and then had my dance class... woke up with sore legs! kinda feels good! Loving this sunshine!

                          Good morning everyone. Just back from my physical. Cholesterol is a little higher than doc would like, but I was okay with it. Otherwise, everything seems fine. My thyroid was fine which surprised me a lot. Gotta run. Work is waiting.

                            Hey everyone.. just got back from the dentist - and good news for everyone so that was just fine with me.

                            Got my replacement MP3 player and it works great (last one didn't sync right) so I'm a happy camper about it.

                            I've been feeling a little off yesterday and again today. Not sick - but not hungry at all. Didn't eat dinner last night and the fish I made was ok I was told. Even got a salad from McD's yesterday and changed it up a little when I got home and still didn't eat all of it. No idea - I'm cold too... just plain chilled. Only difference is that I started taking my vitamins again - so I'm not sure yet. My body probably just needs to even out.

                            I have too much paperwork to do - seriously I do.... I guess I'll get started soon enough Tax time and have to enter all the stuff into the computer to hand it over to the accountant.

                            Have to do some research on other stuff as well - at least the weather is yucky so I can probably get some done
