    Don't know if ketosis is causing my blindness, but I didn't see a Wed. roll call post - so here goes

    Yoga last night was really great, I needed to get rid of some of that stress my ever wonderful 13 year old diablo child is throwing my direction

    I have a Pilates reformer class this morning followed by running. I also have bootcamp class tonight.

    thanks for starting the roll call, colleenie. i was also wondering what happened! are you still losing back down to your lowest wt of 112? you have done a great job staying focused and positive during your 'stall' of sorts.

    i am still getting over the stomach flu, so will be sticking to soup and jello today. jess, you have a partner in your misery!

Colleenie - you crack me up with the diablo child and Children of the Corn comments - I lovingly refer to my youngest (and shes a girl) as satans spawn ((But never within her earshot)) - however she can test the patience of even Job sometimes

        Hi everyone

        Well as you may have seen from my other post, I dropped nine pounds on my first week of induction so I am really having a good day! I have to try and stop myself from weighing in until next Wednesday as I used to be obsessive!

        I made Elizellen's crustless quiche this morning and it was delicious. I never fancy eating a big breakfast so this is going to be perfect for me. I can always eat bacon and eggs for lunch!

          Thanks for the support and suggestions from yesterday Colleenie! I think I need to add that cocunut oil to my shopping list for when I make that trip to the health store to get some silken tofu. It sounds so yummy! You really are my hero!! You stuck with it when the scale was being retarded and now its paying off! I think that will inspire me to stick to my guns next time. Sorry to hear that your oldest is giving you grief. I always refer to my two as my demon spawn or my hellions.


          Today is the first day of my new kick-booty menu! So far, so good. Now lets hope it gets the scale moving in the right direction. The kids' dad didn't come by yesterday like he said he was going to and my stupid self told them that he was coming. I wont do that again. Now he says hes coming by Saturday and bringing the wife with him. We get DBF's oldest daughter on Fridays for DBF's visitation time and take her to his grandmother's Saturday evenings. Both men doing visitation at my house with three kids and the new wife thrown in the mix. Its going to be crowded to say the least...

            Hi Everyone!!!

            I have great news to share!! I am on my seventh day of induction and I weighed in this morning with eight pounds off of me!!! I am due to have my "cycle" any day now (most likely today) does anyone know if this makes the scale a bit higher even I am just minutes away from getting my monthly friend but haven't gotten it yet? That was confusing!! Lol

            Well, I walked to work again today at a very fast pace because it was freezing but I've walked every way this week so far! It feels great! So that's about an hour and ten minutes of fast walking per day! I'm enjoying it!!!!!

              On induction day 9 and still feeling really good. What a difference. Amazing when you do Atkins Dr. A's way, vs. my own way, how well it works. He knew what he was talking about.

                Hey everyone! I need to work on "tightening up" and toning up. So I am working on that. I added the CLA that someone mentioned a few days ago and it should be here tomorrow. The vitamins are kicking in and my body reacted by telling me 5am was a good time to get up. I fought it and stayed in bed until 7:30 - so THERE

                I'm looking at the Shape magazine article on getting a bikini body and it looks like most stuff can be done at home which is really nice as I just can't get a gym membership at this time. I need a butt lift and a tummy tuck. I don't expect stuff to happen overnight - but I have started praying I could lose some from those places. Inches creep off - but loose skin is icky.

                So I got the top of my new bathing suit the other day and it looks ok. My husband tells me he likes my Corona one best but I hate the tan lines from it (thick "sports bra style" type top). So I hope this one will look a little better in the summer - I have a couple of months to tone it up At least the new bras (size 34D down from a 38D!) fit just fine and I am thrilled with that - they are cute

                  Party - Thanks for asking! - yes, I am on track. Finally saw my period today (was actually really excited, scary thought, eh? ) and I am only 2lbs up from my low. I figure a few days of TOM and I should be back to normal. Sorry to hear you have the stomach flu. My friends and I used to joke about what a good weight loss strategy that was, until we all were struck with it - we be stoopid Hope you start feeling better soon!

                  Beanpole - Thanks for the nice words - YES! Grab some coconut oil and try it out. I would love to know if you see any difference after a week or so! Glad you hopped right back on the 'ol Atkins train - you know you can do this - you're so close, even I can smell it

                  Mellany - I'm so glad I haven't upset anyone with my Children of the Corn comments. I love my boys, they're fun... and somedays they make me want to go back to work full time (OMG, did I say that?) and let my hubby deal with their funky jive.

                  Congrats on the loss Zarabelle - You rock!!!

                  Katie - Whoooooohoooooooooooooooo!

                  Chica - when you start the CLA, let me know how it goes for you. I took it for a while and didn't notice anything and stopped - maybe I didn;t take it for long enough?

                    I'm here! Ever have those days that there's nothing much new to post, but at least I'm here, and I feel good about it.

                    I made a poor decision last night - I have sugar free pudding in my house, and when my piece of fish was gross (I don't like fish to begin with, but I thought I'd try again for the sake of a 2 point supper). Well, it didn't pay off, I wasn't satisfied, and I had a pudding. It has 6 net carbs, but my body doesn't read it that way...I registered all 13 carbs, I'm sure.

                    So, they're going bye-bye, because I don't need the temptation in the house.

                    Fortunately, today is a new day, and I know I can do better. And no - lemon pepper fish is NOT on the menu LOL!

                      good morning! thanks for the start colleen!!! i have a 12 year old daughter.....miss jeckyl and hyde. good thing i love her or i would have called social services by now. just kidding, she is a good student and a great kid but her MOODS make me CRAZY!!!

                      it is day 3 officially for me of my restart and i got the purple stick last night!!! (and i DON"T mean the PG test!..don't go starting rumors!)

                      excited about my workout today. my arms are killing me....my son added "dips" to my routine and i am a weakling. wowie...those triceps are killing me. just means i need to keep working harder!!

                        Congrats Katie 1st week induction results-FABU!

                        Collieweinie: I LLOL (literally laughed out loud) when you used the term Children of the Corn! I loved it. As the mother of a teen I get it! And I don't think anyone was offended!

                        Zarabelle: If you don't want to keep peeking at the scale come join the no weigh challenge with me! It's only 5 days!


                        As for me TOM is leaving today, YAY! Soooo it's a dusting off the treadmill for me! I'm actually looking forward to getting back on it, putting on my ipod and just zoning out and working out! LOL!

                          Maybe I can ask here...how does the TOM affect the scale? Does it? I am on my first day and although I am sooo happy with my results, I feel like I lost more! Does the TOM affect what shows up on that metal monster?

                            Ohhh, Tom makes the metal monster angry. 3 pounds worth of angry - and for no apparent reason...nasty monster! Too bad I can't feed it chocolate and sulk like I used to when it p*sses me off! Now, I have just learned to relax, and remember that "this too shall pass", and it always does.

                              Katie - This time around I gained 5lbs with TOM. It started a little over a week ago. I've lost 3, just started TOM today, and waiting for the other two lbs to run far, far away

                              I think the thing with weight gain is this: You have to eat 3500 calories to gain 1 lb of fat. So somedays you'll be up, even though you might not have eaten anything "illegal", or have done anything different. Salt, stress, medications, candida can all affect your weight.
                              You've done great so far - Keep it up!
