Thanks for the answers to the TOM!!! So do you have a drop after you bloat if you keep behaving and following the rule? I am assuming that weight gain at that TOM is due to water retention so wouldn't you have a whooshie or sorts when you're done that week? What do you think???

Hello all! I finally just noticed this thread, and it's 3pm...
Doing well today. I've been kind of tired, I think it's the weather. Everybody is dragging today! I'm sort of dreading my trip to the gym. I have 6 miles to do and I'm not really feeling energetic. But I will feel sooooooo much better when I'm done, that it's totally worth it.
I have to go do math tutoring in about 5 minutes, so just popping in quickly.
Katie--I usually gain quite a few pounds during TOM (sometimes as much as 5 pounds) starting a couple days before hand and then about halfway through I start to lose the water weight, but don't totally lose it until a couple days later. The good thing is that GENERALLY the TOM weight leaves, and takes another pound or so with it. But I must say that on Atkins my PMS/TOM symptoms have gotten drastically better!
i agree...the 2-4 days prior to TOM i 'gain' up to 5lbs, and then it all whooshes off by day 2, usually with another pound or two extra gone. i did this prior to atkins as well, so i am very used to it. hang in there!

Isn't that funny how that works? I don't think it's the actual exercise/activity, it's the whole getting ready and going and getting started that is the hardest part and then after you feel so dang good! I got a treadmill so that it would be "easier" to use then having to go to the gym but even that can be hard to start. I was sitting here at the computer going, "Okay I'll stay online for another 15 minutes and then I'm gonna hit the treadmill" and I keep stalling. FINALLY I went up and was gonna do my 30 minutes, I ended up doing 62 minutes and even was doing a little jogging on it! And I feel GRRRRRREAT!
