    Morning STACers!

    It's just gone 9am and I am up, both daugters eating breakfast and beef bourguignon already in the crockpot.

    I feel like I have a brick in my tummy so had some flax last night and flax oil this morning. It's because I cut down on veggies to be super low carb to allow for my three glasses of wine for my birthday celebration on Friday. Am gulping the water too.

    I looked through all the before and after pics today. What an inspiration! I think I may take mine once a month instead of every 10 pounds as it is clear that the inchese drop off when the weight doesn't always.

    Hoping for a quiet day today. Our house is on the market so we may get a call asking for people to view but if not I think a walk in the woods and a quiet day is in order!

    Good Morning everyone... Weird day today.. Hubby and I were home last night with NO children...and who hogged the bed? the dog... When my kids start moving out I am going to have to make them take the dog with them! One time last night I woke up and was on my stomach and he was between my legs..I couldn't even flip..UGH..

    So I have a little vent.. I have had to resist sooooooooooooooo much this weekend.. Pies, Coconut custard.. Baked potatoes....Rice...YEAST ROLLS... I didn't touch a thing..and two days in a row the scales went up...(I know I know..I shouldn't be on them). GRRRR... Does this every happen to anyone when they are doing Atkins...I notice when I am retaining fluids cause my hands swell.. Too much salt I guess..even though I never add it to anything. I don't notice this problem when I am not doing Atkins..

    On a good note...a miracle happen.. Now I am one to go to the bathroom alot.. I can't go more then an hour most of the time.. Been a little better when I am on the bus by going every 2 hours.. Well yesterday I went at 12..didn't go until 4! and then I didn't go again until 7:30...that is such a miracle here..

    So today I have to resist at the birthday party.. I am going to eat before I go and just tell them I just ate...and am full.... Which normally I go to church on Sunday's and eat lunch around 1 or 2...and the party is at 4..

      Good morning, Folks.

      Trying to get back into the swing of things, thanks to Sherri/MamaEarthieLadyOutThereinWashingtonState and my sister. Since computers and getting ready for work doesn't mesh well with me, I'll probably save check-in's until the afternoons during the week.

      Just weighed myself and am pretty much where I started a year ago before I got totally side-tracked with health issues. One huge difference from this year to last (other than less one thyroid) are my legs. Last year at this time, I couldn't hardly sit, stand, or walk. Working out was more like intense therapy for a disabled person. Although the legs aren't the strongest yet, they are a far cry from what they were a year ago. So it'll simply be just starting out easy and build up the intensity.

      As always, the successes of many on the board are totally inspiring! Sure hope I can say the same a year from now!

          Good morining STACERS!

          I think the winter storm is over...we didn't end up with as much snow as predicted. Freezing rain & wind! Agenda for today is laundry, cooking & organizing the kitchen.

            YAY! Rest day is here! I slept in a couple hours today and then had to get up cause DBF's DD is still here and didn't want her running around the house unsupervised. The boys know to stay in their room and play until someone is up. The scales are still down two pounds, but I'm not celebrating just yet. I wore shorts to bed last night(which I haven't done in a good long while due to the cold) and bent down to get my toothpaste out of the bathroom sink cabinet this morning. I got a glimpse of my legs and went "Whoa! Are those mine!?!" They looked so much smaller and TONED! I lost some of my thunder thighs! All my life I've had horrible short, fat, stocky legs. Its a genetic thing. All the women in my family have ugly little fat legs and we're all short - around 5'2. I thought I was doomed to suffer that for life, but maybe theres hope now! For the first time I actually thought that my legs didn't look so bad. Summer shorts, here I come!!

              Sandy - good for you for resisting! It'll pay off!!!

              Today's going to be a great day for me!!! I am going to a yoga shop to purchase some more workout clothes. I am doing Hot Yoga today as my exercise and I cannot wait! First my bf and I are going out for breakfasst but I have no idea what to eat!!! CAn I have restaurant hollandaise sauce?? I was hoping to have eggs benedict without the bread!!! If anyone gets this in time...please let me know! We're leaving in the next hour!

              Other than that uncertainty of can I get it...great day!

                Katie_1985 ask at the restaurant what is in the Hollandase Sauce. You can always rely on an omelet with some shrooms, peppers & onions.

                    Morning, all! I'm up briefly to get coffee before going back to bed to read for a bit.

                    Had a nice day yesterday, doing classwork and then working out. Today is a marathon of schoolwork, but I'm not starting for another hour and a half.

                    I haven't gotten on the scale for days, and I have no urge to do so, which is a first for me. I'm so focussed on the obvious physical changes that the scale doesn't seem to have much meaning for me - nice!

                    Sandy - we all have to resist temptation. If you have three foods that are legal that you absolutely adore and that address either your sweet tooth or your crunchy/salty needs, you can resist without any problem. And i'm not talking about sugar-free jello. Find yourself some good recipes.

                    Zara - hope you feel better! Next time, eat those veggies even though you plan to have wine! You can't not eat veggies on this woe, no matter what, silly girl!

                      Zara, I agree with monthly photos rather than ever 10 pounds. It's possible to only have a 3 pound month, but inches galore...

                      Sandy, yes the scale jumps around a LOT for me. I think more so on Atkins that most other ways of eating. Good for you for staying strong, despite all the temptations. Good luck today, too.

                      Hello everyone else.

                      Had a bad eating day yesterday -- not off plan, but just some poor choices, not enough veggies, too much sf crap/frankenfoods. Today, the focus is on pure and natural meats and veggies, with a little (not a lot) dairy thrown in.

                        Morning... slow day today (I hope!). Made some fax pancakes for breakfast, not bad at all. Yesterday was tough, we were boiling maple sap for syrup all day for my kids' classrooms. If you've never had real, pure, hot maple syrup... well, there are no words for it

                          Thanks... I had eggs and bacon for breakfast Hubby was dumping his Cowboy coffee down the sink (more sugar then coffee) and he said I hate to waste it don't you want it.. I said would you rather waste that coffee or help me to get into ALL those capris I have waiting for me in the closet... Hmmm shopping money or coffee...lol
