Re: Aloha -- second time for me

i have felt so much better since i started taking them. i take PB8 and i got them at the health food store. probiotics are either refrigerated or not and i take the ones that are not simply for convenience. probiotics add millions of GOOD bacteria into your intestinal system. it helps to balance all the bacteria. people often take then if they have yeast issues or have been on antibiotics for a while....either way or not at all they are good for your health.

i have had tummy problems as long as i can remember. most foods cause pain and bloating...BLAH! carb laden foods are the worst but sometimes i can't find a culprit...it is just because!

anyway, i noticed relief within the first couple of days. "things" are regular, no tummy pain or bloating...it takes a couple of weeks for the probiotics to work their way all the way thru the system. they will aid in the proper digestion of your food as well.

i take two twice a day.....start slowly and follow the directions. your health food store people should be able to give you some good info! i am SO GLAD i found them.....i think joy is the first person who mentioned them to me and my health freak gal pal made me go and get some the last weekend i was there at her house and i was moaning and groaning about my tummy!

Green tea is a great alternative, but keep in mind it does have caffeine. I was also told that the caffeine in green tea does not have the same long-lasting effects like that of coffee, it doesn't disturb your sleep as much. One truth that is becoming evident and getting a lot of attention from scientific circles, is that if you don't get enough sleep it can seriously affect your ability to lose weight. So the caffeine cycle can sabotage your weight loss! Probably my problem in a nutshell. Well, I think I'm going to bed now - nighty night!

          Aloha Smallerizing,
SLEEP! I had wondered about that. When I get a really solid nights sleep on Atkins I tend to have a woosh in the morning. I had a mental theory that we only really lose weight while we sleep.

I gained really quickly during 2 years in a high-stress position. I don't think I ate that much really, but I was completely exhausted. I had to be completely on from about 7:30am to sometimes as late as 9 or 10 at night. Regular week was 75 hour on call.
There is an art to getting a solid sleep. It takes peace in ones life. I wonder how responsible that is for the weight gain.

Well this is my time, and I'm going to rest easy.

Thanks for the reminder on green tea and caffeine. I suppose I should go herbal at least for induction.

          SO....
          ** less than 20 carbs
          ** lots of water
          ** supplements of all kinds
          ** daily exercise
          ** green veggies and MOFAs
          ** peace and harmony
          ** and SLEEP

It sounds easy when I list it out!
