  • Roll Call - Monday 16 March

    Morning everyone

    I have been using fitday for four days and it's a real eye opener! I reckon I have underestimated my carb count by 5g a day (poss up to 10g) which is frustrating as I was convinced I knew what I was doing!

    We're going on holiday on Thursday so I am busy trying to pack for us all! I am very excited and happy that I am taking clothes that I like and not just ones that fit like I used to do when I went on holiday!

    Half a pound down this morning. Very bad PMT I thought this WOE was supposed to help but I have been terribly moody/angry with it over the last couple of days. I used to have something with sugar which seemed to help but I obviously can't do that now!

      Started phase two today of P90X. I thought I was getting the hang of it and then..Plyo Push-ups! Which is a push-up where you get your hands and feet off of the ground and clap your hands at the same time before you land back on your hands and feet to do another push-up. Needless to say, I couldn't do any! Maybe some day. Time for me to run, got a full schedule today too. Keep it legal and happy losing!

        good morning. weighed in today. one week of induction down. and not even a single POUND down. hoping things start moving along soon. my rings felt tight though, so i think i need to up the water. ugh.

          Beanpole, Are you kidding?! That sounds like the hardest exercise! I could never ever do that- I have lots of trouble with just normal pushups! Just thinking about it scares me! Way to go you for even trying!!

          Mrs S- Are you measuring too? And are you sure you aren't getting in any sneaky hidden carbs?

          I'm feeling pretty good today! All my work trousers are baggy and I wore some jeans all day yesterday that I couldn't have worn even two weeks ago. They were tight but they were confortable enough to wear all day! I bought a few new things last week-- in a size down from where I started! I'm almost 30 lbs down and I'm finally starting to be able to see it in the mirror! Unfortunately, my belly is still there and doesn't show signs of leaving me anytime soon! Oh well! It matters not, it will go eventually and even if it doesn't go away completely I'm sure it will shrink some at least! It must be shrinking already to let me button jeans that used to not fit!

          Meanwhile, I've started drinking two big glasses of water in the morning with breakfast (I used to just have a bit and then drink throughout the day). It's not any more water than before but I find that drinking a lot in the morning makes my stomach feel full and I'm not so tempted to eat when I get into work (where all the muffins and danish and free sweets live!). I've been doing the same thing at night so my tummy feels full instead of wanting a bite or two of the yummy carby things that my bf always likes to snack on. I think it's a good strategy!

            i am going to cut out any coffee this week and watch my cheeses real close. the first half of the week i was good, but yesterday i think i overdid it on cream cheese. and again, more water (my rings are always a good sign to see if i'm bloated or not). hopefully this combo will get the scale moving.

              Yep those coffees really boost up the carbs. I have cut down to one or two cups a day x

                Happy St. Patricks Day!! The corned beef (and radishes) are already loaded in the crockpot! No plans for green low carb beer though.

                I bought a pair of size 15/16 jeans/capris yesterday. I know it's nice to go by size, but I try not to get toooo excited about it, since sizes are not consistent. In fact, I think the 10's of today are more like the 14's of yesterday, but a pound is pound is a pound! Still, a size 8 would be awesome!

                  How is it that Monday's always come so darn fast

                  I am still on plan and feeling good! Morning jog done and I'm off to make a healthy breakfast.

                  Lunch with a client today so I'm sure it'll be a salad.

                  Dinner tonight is corned beef and cabbage with the kidlets.

                    I posted my pictures on ADBB Gallery but still can't figure out how to post them in my signature. I will keep trying. The weather in good ole Michigan today is sleet and cold. YUCK! I am over it. We just bought a sailboat and it is making me have Spring fever like no other.

                      checking in ....first day of spring break. my kiddo is not off til NeXT week....bummer. so i am a cleaning machine....BLAH! worked like a fiend yesterday....does climbing a ladder 50X count for exercise? happy st. patty's day all....watch out for the leprechauns!

                        Don't feel bad.. Britt is off next week for dance for Spring break and so is the rest of her class from their school and Britts isn't until April 7th.. Dumb dumb dumb...

                          Good Morning Everyone.. I am home again.. I finally just called my boss and left a message that I do not know when I am going to come in..(I am a Sub so they can't force me to be there) I am dealing with Dizzy spells which I know are Vertigo. I have taken so many sinus meds that my mouth is constantly dry. Going to go to the Chiro today for the 1st time I am a bit nervous.. My daughter is going too.. I have lots of neck problems hers is her lower back.

                          I will confess I cheated yesterday... Today is a new day....

                              sandy, a good chiro is worth the weight in gold. my son has had AMAZING results with his back pain that came from a sports injury (and actually threw his leg length off by an inch!) it will be ok....and sorry about the vertigo. that would drive me insane. i think i heard that dramamine helps...
